Need to make a correction here. The IBM 5100 portable computer introduced in September of 1975 was the first portable ever, not the compaq as you mentioned.
@triezen007 need to correct your correction: adding and listing machines have been around since the 1800's, making them the first portables ever, not the IBM 5100 as you mentioned.
@powerhousephg Well I realize that the Abacus was the first computer ever made, but we are talking about an electronic digital computer, not a manual non electric computer.
