@jellyking12345 Benelli Arms is part of Beretta arms group, famous in the world. Benelli motorcycles is a historic house, one of the oldest in Europe, founded in 1911, unfortunately lapsed for serious managerial errors in the 70's. Today a large group of China, Qianjiang Group wants to return the brand to its former glory. We all bikers hopefully good! The Triumph suffered the crisis in the 70's and failed in 1983 and then rise again in the nineties
@jellyking12345 The reason why they often compare Triumph and Benelli motorcycle is mainly because both bikes have a three-cylinder engine, obviously the Benelli motorcycle does not have the level of sales of Triumph and even of Ducati or Aprilia, not to mention the Japaneses. I, for a healthy national spirit and love for bikes, hope Benelli return to its former glory, I don't think there's anything wrong.
Good sales success here is having the Speed Triple and the Bonneville. The Triumph like
See, i have to disagree. I couldnt care less if Benelli died out. Personally i dont think anybody would notice because the sales are so low.
Just let the other manufactures carry on producing excellent bikes for reasonable money. Triumph gets all the sales in the triple market as it is the only manufacturer to produce bikes with it. Benelli doesnt count as it barely exists.
@jellyking12345 I remember when I saw the Triumph in the early 90, like many others I was convinced that It would not last long, but I was wrong. I hope that Benelli rise again and give a hard time to Triumph, no one should rest on laurels. Apart from Benelli in Italy, however, fortunately we don't miss me famous motorcycle brands, which still have great potential and much to win in international competitions
No, i disagree. Keep Triumph going strong alone is better that Benelli offering competion as then it would risk them both slipping back into the non existant.
I wouldnt even want them to merge to form a super company as it would be much better for Triumph to remain pedigree and pure at heart. It would loose soul and quality if benelli got involved. Benelli's arent desirable because they arent known for anything.
@jellyking12345 No. I never thought of a merger between the two companies, Triumph and Benelli. Benelli must make its way. you like the Triumph, well, you're English it would be strange otherwise. The point now is not whether Benelli is little known or sells a few bikes, but if its bikes are well built and reliable, I am interested in this, the market will decide the fortune or misfortune of the mark.
@jellyking12345 What surprises me is the absolute absence of the Triumph in motorcycle racing like MotoGP or Superbike. In the British Superbike Championship, to find a English bike, you have to go back to 1994 with the Norton Rotary F1 in the last ten years, seven times the Ducati, the twice Honda, and one Yamaha and Suzuki.
Triumph are more than capable of participating with the 675 daytona, and they should make a 1050cc daytona to with a triple engine which will add some variety to the race.
They could win if they wanted to but they just dont participate. Maybe its down to the financial costs of running a race team, and seeing as they dont "dominate" the market, that would be risky as they dont have enough money.
@67claudius Hi there, just a bit of info for you.The Triumph Daytona 675 has recenly won the German Superstock championship and european and British race wins to its credit plus Chaz Davies has just finished in 4th position in world supersport 600 against much bigger teams,in fact there are all sorts of races going on that have Triumphs doing very well at the moment. As they have no big sportsbike at the moment, there's no basis,or point, for a top flight racebike! Ride safe!
I want a bike that is fun at low speeds as you cant realistically drive like crazy everywhere. Is there any point on buying a Tiger or would I be better off on a slower machine?
tiger is the dogz bollox i have one, ride the brand of Steve Mcqueen & Marlon Brando (i know they where meridan bikes but same logo!), the bike kicks ass and keeps on going like the energizer bunny,
I have a Benelli. Pure perfection. The motor is as good as it gets for an inline triple with performance to spare. The handling is unmatched by any bike in this class. On top of all that, the Italian quality and style is obviously superior as soon as you compare. A true thing of beauty that performs.
All Italian except for the money behind the company. There is nothing Chinese on the Benelli. The Triumph is much more likely to have a Chinese part on it than the Benelli.
how does benelli perform for long touring? let's say I am going from chicago to L.A. from there to Florida and back to Chicago? thank you...i have read that the seat is very uncomfortable what do you think?
I have a Tiger. Love it to bits. Mid range is all on the road and it has loads. Bucketfuls. Slow on paper, but very, very quick on the road. Lower the rear 20mm and the front 30mm and it handles much better due to lower c of g and increased steer angle.
good review. I like how you actually showed the bikes and we got to hear how they sound without some goofy music track looping in the background. 5 stars
@kj7687 I've got about 17000 miles on it since I bought it in 2007. I've still had no problems with aside from regular maintenance and tires. The only complaint I have is with the clunky transmission, which I think has been addressed in the newer models.
@7ru Cool, thank. I'm just trying to figure out the reliability. I'm doing some (extra) research on a few motorcycles for my friend, who will be buying a new bike in a few months. I was pointing him toward the new Z1000. But the Triumph Tiger looks pretty sweet. I just need to do a bit more research on its reliability and if that looks good, I think it will be exactly the bike my friend wants, from what he has told me.
@7ru@7ru Benellis are very very cool though I got to meet the NH distributor a couple years back. I love my 955 Sprint RS Frankenbike with Powermax exhaust, some vids on my channel, peace.

Triumph is pure british, pratical bikes that are well made and designed for British roads (which is where british people tend to ride)
Beneli arms sell to the US army. Fair play.
Beneli motorbikes dont have anything going for them, why not by a yamaha or triumph instead.
