As hard as it may be for American blacks to admit this, they only achieve their highest potential in orderly, civilized societies where they are not permitted to have any power or control whatsoever. In other words, strong white societies. They have shown that their "talented tenth," as W.E.B. DuBois called them, can only thrive in conditions and environments that they could never create or maintain themselves.
im a black college student from MS....and i've been reading all your comments here ppl. Now i want you tro go look up the story that just happen earlier this month in jackson, ms where some white kids left a party and sought out to hurt the 1st black person they saw and that's just what they did. Not only did they hurt him but killed him. I promise you all that im not racist at all but look into that story and tell me that more should've been done especially comparing it to the jena 6
@mamacornettesmoney true the ratios are different but why did the jena 6 blow up so big and this didnt???? they ran the guy over and one guy got convicted. the others were accessory to the crime and they didnt even get a slap on the wrist
@teddyd14 Jena 6 blew up because the Jena 6 families got Alan Bean & he made up crap about them being honor students who were standing up against racists. They also ignored the fact that the charges were being lowered before all the protests. People thought they were taking part in a civil rights movement. they were really just defending the right of out of control thugs to stomp YT. Your example was in MS. This was in LA. Different states. Different prosecuters. Apples and oranges.
@teddyd14 (cont) and again, MS, like Louisiana , has FAR FAR FAR more cases of blacks doing violent things to whites than the other way around. And TONS of cases that never get reported at all. the Jena 6 assault wouldn't have made news if the Jena 6 supporters didn't make a big stir in order to avoid punishment.
@mamacornettesmoney true but my thing is that i dont like racism at all wether it be black on white, white on black or any other race. it makes me sick

I'm a Black US soldier.....and believe me I'm outraged that shit like this still happens in this country. white folks wonder why we're still "playin the race card?" well when crap like this happens what do you expect?! although we've elected a black president shit like this still hasn't peen put to rest.
@loujencece I do wonder why you play the race card. Six black teens beat a white teen unprovoked, while he laid unconscious on the ground. Why can't we play the race card on this one? That's right, we're never victims.
The defendants wound up just getting slaps on the wrist. Since then 4 of the 6 have since committed violent crimes. Maybe politics shouldn't try and overrule juries. Every case has a bunch of details, and the reports on this case have been faulty at best.
I am not white, and I do believe that every culture can get along. I do have to agree that black people (although I am not black) are always crying about something being racist, and it isn't fair. But we can all get along, that is if you aren't a bigot
The black kids should have been arressted. The white kids DID NOT TOUCH THEM. You cannot put your hands on someone just because they do or say something that you perceive as racist.
