I agree...shelby did a lot to this car besides the engine. Its got much wider fender flares, and its set up for racing, over the original AC that was a wussy car. Which one of the cars had the gap? The spec racers have doors that are bolted shut and gaps are not relevant relative to performance.

All the other things you mention are not functions of FFR design but choices that the owner makes. My FFR has IRS with LS, AC pedals, but that was my choice not FFR's

The silver FFR with the Roush engine had a half inch gap at the bottom of the drivers door. All of the things I listed are standard on the Superformance.

All the things you mentioned were standard on my FFR. Heck mine came with a bunch of extras. You see, if you spend on an FFR what you pay for an SPF, you get pretty much the same equipment "standard". And my doors fit just fine.

Granted, SPF builds nice cars, but for the same kind of money the FFR turns out very well.
