  • I never thought about doing hiit on the elliptical tried it 30:30 for like 20 minutes and was sweating twice as much as I usually do on the elliptical I mean to sweat as much as I did I would need to jog on the treadmill for 45 minutes thank you sooo much this video gave me the idea :)

  • Hey Ray, what do you think about my HIIT workout: 3 min warming 12 min workout (1:00 walking 6 miles per hour 1:00 sprinting 11 miles per hour) and a cool down of 3 min... I workout on a treadmill after my regular workout (chest, back, bicep etc) am i doing it rigth?

  • we do sprint HIIT cardio in track all the time lost 17 pounds in 2 weeks it was crazy

  • @2pkjs1351 bollocks you cant lose that much in 2 weeks

  • I start tomorrow - my first session of H.I.T.T.

will check in with you after 30days...

  • Hey, is this a good plan for getting as slim/lean as possible?

Monday - Spartacus workout followed by 20 to 30 minutes of steady state cardio.

Tuesday - heavy weight lifting followed by HIIT run.

Wednessday - hour of steady state cardio

Thursday - heavy weight lifting followed by HIIT.

Friday - Spartacus workout followed by 20 to 30 minutes of steady state cardio.

  • Great

  • my left ear enjoyed this

  • Horrible normalization of the audio track, extreme changes in volume levels. It needs some work

  • Ray - Great vid man!! Very interesting and informative.

Question on the HIIT treadmill - how many sessions do u do of the hi intensity? 7, 8? Do you warm up? COol down? If so how long? Also is it 30 seconds once u reach lets say a 12 speed.. Given it takes almost 10 seconds to get there from 3.0 and vice versa??

  • some one help me:

can i do HIIT on mondays, tuesdays and wednesdays and then do a fast walk on 6% incline or higher on the thursdays and then do weights on fridays?

is that okay? or should i leave a day or so between each HIIT session?

  • @mrningaili i think u should leave a day between becuz ur body needs at least 24 hrs to recover....im just guessing but search it up

  • @MrXmannymanx

r you saying i should leave a day inbetween every session?

what if i just do that on those three days and then i don't do any cardio for the remaining of the week?

that gives my body 4 days to recover....

  • @mrningaili yea becuz your body needs to recover from that...youll probably feel tiredso its best to leave a day in between..maybe do this fast walk on tuesdays and thursdays and hiit on mon wed and fri

  • @MrXmannymanx

do i also have to do weights aswell if i want to loose weight?

  • @MrXmannymanx

but i don't get tired...i did that...and i was still ready for the next session. is that not okay?

  • EXCUSE ME GUYS...BUT HOW DOES THIS THING H.I.I.T WORK?????? IF IM CURRENTLY WORKING ON MY UPPER CHEST BUT NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT FOR ABS..WILL THIS HELP ME BURN FAT BUT KEEP MUSCLE??????

  • thanks dude , u cleared many things for me.

  • girls should do this excersises too, though its damn hard

  • HIIT is much more effective for burning fat than traditional cardio, takes much less time, and is more fun as well so you'll want to do it more often. O yea, and it drastically increases your general metabolism due to the afterburn. How can you get any better than that ?

  • Could i do this with jump roping??? 1 Minute of jump roping as fast as possible and 1 minute walking for about 5 sets of each activity (total of 10 min)....would this decrease my belly fat or is the treadmill better...

  • @10159218 All about the heart rate. So if you can get your heart rate to your high points with jump rope than why not.

  • Should you hold onto the rail when you switch? Last time I didn't do that I fell off the treadmill. It was quite embarassing since I'm 16 and the guy who was looking at my cut was looking at as if I was younger than 16.

  • I've done that, since last August-last December. And I lost 27 KG = 59 LBS !!! And that is no joke guys! I'm serious here. My parents didn't recognized me.

  • I'm currently doing 5min warmup on 8Km/H then 1 min 10Km/h to then my sprint which is 18Km/H , i can only do this around 3-5 times most. Is this good to do or should i re-adapt my speeds? (I'm training to lower my body fat percentage down from what is currently which is 15% to 7%)

  • Hey i heard this is really good, im pretty skinny can i do this still so i can burn the fat on lower part of my abs?

  • COOL VID... keep up the good work

  • look at those triceps

  • Ray - I've been doing this since August 17, and I've lost 31 lbs and (more importantly) - 5 inches from my waist and about 4-5 inches off my belly. Was 208, now 177lbs. Hardest exercise ever! I worked up from initially from 3 minute fast walk (3mph)/1 minute sprint (6 mph) to NOW 1:1 (1 minute walk 4mph/1 minute at 8MPH) - I can only do about 5 to 6 rounds of that so far, it's been hard! But I do almost 15 minutes of that. Along with 1 hr of weight training 2x a week with 2 trainers!

  • @rlee1976 Awesome! Keep up all the great work.Thats what im talkin about baby!

  • @RayWetterlund3

How about getting a good body first and then posting a video haha.. you look like some clown and not credible whatsoever!

  • @SonnyVitolini I'd like to see you tell him that to his face.

  • @marshalljimduncan

i rape ur and his mum simultaneously haha

  • @rlee1976 Awesome. Great stuff! Thats what im talkin about baby. TIME to get serious!

  • @rlee1976

    oooh my. r you serious?

how long did you do it until you started seeing results. did this get you belly flat?

and did this help lose weight in thighs?

  • Are there other exercises that you can do that doesn't involve so much equipment? Because I only have some dumbells and that's it.

  • @chengstta yh like he said go and do a 30 second sprint then 30 second jog outside its relativly the same but the treadmill is easier

  • Hi , at what incline do you do the interval training on the treadmill ?As a female , I love doing the interval training but I would only like lean muscles not bulky muscles. Will doing the interval training on a high incline give me bulky leg muscles?? thanks so much! =)

  • @unique5678 Hi, I didn't see anyone respond to your question so I thought I would give it a try. As far as lean muscle vs. bulky muscle, that's going to directly relate to your diet/calories. I come across girls all the time that are afraid to lift heavy weights because they think it will make them bulky, that's not the case at all. On top of that, women produce a lot less testosterone then men, which will also help you not become bulky.

  • @unique5678 Just train hard and get adequate nutrients without going over your caloric maintenance level... hope that helps. Oh yeah, having your treadmill at an incline will be up to you and your level of fitness.

  • Doing the HIIT Workouts are the one proven method to burn fat while sparing muscle unliike steady state cardio.

  • @RayWetterlund3 Preventing your muscles from breaking down and going into a catabolic state.

  • will doing the high intensity intervals training burn away my muscle?

  • @AmericanGMS This technique will spare your muscle and allow you Maximize Fat loss!

  • @RayWetterlund3 what do you mean by spare?

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for not boring us guys :) just kidding, great vid.

  • can you give some exercises of high intensity exercises that you can do without any equipment (at home kind of thing)

  • if you do it longer...like 4 separate times a day equallying 2 hours, will you burn more weight faster..

  • @sweetkisses4uonly Err no.

  • Thanks for your Q's! Its best to do HIIT Training in the morning as your glycogen levels are lower thus you get into fat burning zone faster! 20 min. in the morning is as efficient as doing 40@ night! Enjoy

  • Great vid!

One question...when is the best time to do this?

First thing in the morning on empty?

  • Fuck, I hit the thumb down button accidentally

    But great vid anyway

  • this guy is doin TRUE HIIT. Intensity is key.

  • who sings that song in the beginning of the video?

  • loves it!

  • HIIT is very good indeed. Makes you think why so many people have never heard of it. I'm quite sure the people -mostly women - in the gym that I use have never heard of it.

  • @martynblackburn1977 dude i completely agree, i just started doing this a week ago and have lost 4 lbs of what i consider mostly body fat. becuase im a beginner i have started at aout 8mph and drop it back down 3.5 one min on one min off.

  • @blueyourmom123 my name's not dude. But I understand what you mean. I try the 30 seconds all out sprint and then 1 minute 30 seconds jogging. Try it.

  • @martynblackburn1977 "My name's not dude?" Fuck you, you arrogant prick.

  • @roronora Why call me "dude"? My name is clearly not "dude".

  • @martynblackburn1977

    hey dude

  • This guy is freaking intense, love it
