He is going to recruit for the church mostly. Tracting and reporting his quotas to SALES Leader called Mission President. Yes he'll get to serve but recruiting and cementing the youth to the church is the real reason for a mission.

As much as you all are really nice sincere people in this Video, it breaks my heart to have to expose the LDS false claims and lies.

All of what I typed is true and applies to the Mormon cult (other things like "I know the church is the ONE TRUE church" or "the Catholic church is the great and abominable satan"), just for starters. The Mormon cult is not just a cult; it is a DESTRUCTIVE CULT which calls for the end of days and saying that only those who follow it will survive. Would you like to know more?

I'm curious, why didn't anyone say you were going somewhere in the USA? It almost seems as if they find those missions here not very interesting, and kind of looked down upon..

Yeah, unfortunately that can be true sometimes. I think the reason they guessed other countries is that I already speak some other languages and I've lived in different countries.

Some missionaries actually do want to serve but don't want to learn a new language. Also, some missionaries have health issues which would be hard to take care of if they were assigned to a third world country. When you fill out your mission papers, all consideration is given concerning the missionary and their needs. Every mission has unique challenges ....but it's the people that you meet and teach that makes the mission so rewarding.

My brother went to Ogden, and he was truly ecstatic. Every missionary is called to the field in which they are most needed :)

I don't believe that. Every mission has amazing things about it. I've been out with the missionaries in 5 missions in 3 countries and I know that I am going where the Lord wants me.
