I never said anyone was. Actually the Great Depression was the work of de regulation as presidents before FDR took a hands off approach, akin to what the Bush Administration did. In fact this recession has led to a resurgence in Keyensian economics. Which IMO is the better practice.

Austrian economics would have fixed the recession, but the bailouts and stimuli are only lengthening it, similar to what Hoover did to cause his recession to become a depression. The U.S. is on the path now to a hyperinflationary depression.

Austrian economics is an outdated system. Even Milton Friedman himself once quipped "Everyone is a Keynesian".

While there was a double dip of the great depression in 1937 it was only when FDR loosened regulations and it fell. Afterwards, the economy slowly creeped up and was running fairly smoothly by the early 40s.

Roughly 12% of Americans are black. That means about 40 million or so. 24% of blacks are registered as Republicans. 15% of blacks voted for the Republican candidate for president. That means that there are a pretty large number of black Republicans.
