  • didnt see shit

  • Hi there, I really liked this video and the idea that's behind, it makes me wanna try something like that in Brussels (I live there).

Maybe you've already thought about it after loosing loads of data because of water but... why not trying to put the camera in one of these boxes there use for diving?

Just keep on doing it, it's really nice ;-)

  • wow......cant believe i watched that whole thing.....

  • Great video.

  • this remind me on cloverfield the movie

  • remind me of the movie

  • very cool

  • this is so cool , it should be on T.V.

  • hell yeah! a mini series with really good actors portraying us chasing the balloons would be awesome!

  • Im amazed there anrent many views, this is amazing!!!

  • that's a nice thing to say. i guess you can tell your friends about it :) maybe next time if there is wind it will go over the entire crowd.

  • gease these things r awesome i love them i want to see one where the balloons pop that would be funny but no more camera

  • god those bits where you were on top of the buildings freaked me the fuck out... love it.

  • omg this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen!

  • thanks!

  • You guys are amazing. Some incredible revelations in this video. Will share later.

  • I hope Paris is the "secret location."

  • testing

  • It would be a lot of fun to get a lot of friends together and do this in my city :)

    ...maybe I will...

  • yeah, there you go: more greetings from Germany :)

  • Love the idea. I watched the Germany one and got hooked, and have been waiting for the NYC one for a while. Keep it up!

  • thank you we will!

look for new projects coming soon!

  • So great :-)

  • thanks balloon friend!

  • Simply Awesome! Greetz from Germany. :)

  • thank you! germany has a soft spot in our balloon shaped hearts for being our first successful balloon project!

  • AWESOME

  • Does the building that they are in at 8:10 remind you of Bruce Almighty? what a sweet idea

  • yeah it reminded me of bruce almighty too!

for a moment i thought it was the same one (:

  • hahah

  • This is such a great idea :)

  • The water damage is easily prevented: Non-lubricated Condoms.

Cheap, waterproof, mostly clear (for video, anyway--stills would be impossible) and you can put two or three layers on there before it becomes so muddy that you can't see anything.

Tie the condoms up, and you have a waterproof solution. Just be sure to leave as little air in the condom as possible (or otherwise, at high altitudes they will inflate) and you should be good to go.

  • that's sure is an interesting idea. the condom balloon project? but the lens can't be covered up that's most important.

  • You guys get the best crane shots.

Despite only getting two minutes of footage, this made for an interesting adventure. Good job guys.

  • thanks a bunch of times!

but we don't use birds or any animals in the shooting of these videos. ;)

  • hey everyone.

    luca here.

i just want to thank everyone for all your comments and keeping up with our project.

we are really excited about everything and are trying to reach out to all of you.

And I notice that from 6:51 to 6:55 Ira manged to get in a stand.

  • i really can't go anywhere these days without one! :)

  • what if this falls and hits someone in the head and kills them... Who's liable?!

  • safety's always first with The Balloon Project!

    Amazing!!

  • thanks! thanks for waiting!

  • YESS IT'S FINALLY HERE!

  • yeah! awesome! this one was great!

i am excited whats will be the next..:D

  • unbelievable that you found them, plus they allowed you to get on that roof. I can't imagine that this would work out in germany!! (to get permission for the roof)

  • You guys are having the best kind of fun, I love you balloon project! Taking me into buildings illegally, and chasing balloons, that's the stuff dreams are made out of, spectacular!!!

  • Wow that was grand, the land cam felt like I was watching Cloverfield :D

    Keep up the good work!

  • Cloverfield. haha cool!

    thanks for watching

  • WOW! That was crazy! :D 5/5! Greetings from Venezuela. Keep the good work :P

  • wow venezuela! thanks for watching. we've heard about you in the news - viva la paz!

  • bummer about the footage being damaged

  • tell me about it! is there a word for being really excited and bummed at the same time?

  • What a cool person to show you around the building!! So do we get to see the entire 2 minutes? (I admit I haven't looked yet so I might be eating my words)

  • the girl was nice but the guy in the other building was a complete a-hole. i think he thought it was his lunch yet his manager wouldn't let him out until he got us our balloons!

  • I am realy glad that you didnt have problems with the police. all the wires, electrical looking stuff and a helium tank...

I am so glad how this turned out for you!

    absolutley amazing (:

  • i guess police were not worried about a bunch of balloons on new years eve!

if you look at minute 3:14 you'll see that we found a fenced off area where we could blow up balloons hidden from public view yet right in the middle of the street. so lucky us!

it was the running through the streets that the cops didn't like :)

  • Good job...you guys are getting good at findin them once they're down.

  • thanks!

it's taken a lot of practice but we're finally getting a lot more confident about them.

  • ZOMG! what a treat. reminder of a sa-weet new years we had AFTER da midnight hour.

by da way, weren't they recovered on january 2nd? everyone was too totaled on the 1st to look for em!

  • it's true.

we had to be in top shape to climb those buildings. and new years day was probably a holiday ;)

  • Lol, I felt like I was watching Cloverfield during the night parts! I have a question though, what happens if the balloons pop and the camera hits someone in the head, aren't you worried about that when you do these things?

  • why would all of the balloons pop at the same time? there are quite a lot of them... fear not!

  • i thought about responding to that question but i'm glad you beat me to it. not even a snipper could pop all 35 or 40 balloons.

  • This is always so exciting! Love it!

  • we do our best! thanks for watching kiwi!

    balloon project munich 888?

  • For details.. ask Gero :D But why not? Although... we'd have to totally chase them around town then, huh?

  • Amazing guys!!

    loved this one.

    keep it up.

    -Assaf

  • you too! :-)

  • how many balloons were used?

  • i'm not sure we counted. there were at least 30 but then we put a few extras in at the last minute. so who knows. it's different every project.

  • that was awesome!=D (too bad you only recovered 2min, but that's better than nothing!)

  • you don't know what a strange feeling it was to find the camera yet at the same time find out that it didn't work 100 percent.

but it's the experience that makes it so worth it.

  • im sorry to say, but that was not nearly as epic as the last one u did.

  • Wow!

    I just Love these!

I cannot wait to see more of the world tour!

This is just such an excellent idea!

    Well done!

  • thanks! yeah we can't wait to start taking this thing on tour! stay tuned!

  • five stars to luca for making such an awesome film of our new years eve!

  • Ahhh at long last. The long awaited video. It was well worth the wait. This is awesome!!

You got some fantastic footage whit the big crowd and all but shame about the waterdamage.

Still, the hunt to get the camera back was also great to see. It's a cool way to see New York from a different perspective.

  • thanks eddy! it's great to finally deliver the goods to all you faithful subscribers. what's next? :)

  • I'm sure you guys will come up with something extraordinary. You haven't failed so far. :)
