If only the performers would look normal while singing... The conductor is the freakiest; he looks like he's having very bad Brititis or some other kind of spasm. :-D A bunch of weird and very bad vibrato singers with a bad performance, no interpretation, acceptable intonation and no trace of homogenity. I would even consider the version of the Dresdner Kreuzchor better and that one is quite bad...
@tobsimobsi007 As this was part of the performance that won the BBC Choir of the Year title against a very strong field it would appear the judges at least did not agree.
@dkahn400 sorry, but there has to be NO VIBRATO for that kind of music, Bach, Rheinberger... has to be sung flat. This sounds like an old gramophone - doesn't matter if they won something... NOT BECAUSE of that vibrato, but despite!
The whole feeling is gone, try the Cambridge Singers and tell me, that you don't get goose bumps listening to them - and then tell me, you got goose bumps here...

@tobsimobsi007 Es sind nur einige Stimmen mit Vibrato zu hören. - Insofern ist keine absolute Homogenität gegeben. - Ich gestehe. - Aber dennoch ist der Satz sehr fein gesungen. - Zumal ein sehr junger Chor. - Die King's Singers sind älteren Jahrgangs und haben von daher sehr viel mehr Ensembleerfahrung.
