  • which camera did you use to record this great vid ?

  • MAN MUCH RESPECT I HAVE MASHINE AND I WILL HAVE A WHOLE SONG DONE THEN WHEN I EXPORT IT OUT I ONLY GET SECS OF I T

  • Wow, what speakers are those? They're nice~

  • @Gunbardo Rokits Krks I think.

  • @Gunbardo Krk 8's or 6's :P

  • thats how i felt im stilling learning

  • True FL 9 fa life!!!!! but I do like the Maschine tho....kinna remindz me of FL...look at the program...

  • @HitzonthatThang Fl9 was hot but Fl10 is that business.

  • BULLSHIT! FL Studios if you broke or ballin', Producers don't need all that stuff anymore. These young dumb swag fags just want that bounce and that's it. D/L Reason or Fruity Loops and get paper. All that bullshit is so 1995!!

  • @MegaNorthMemphis Any real producer knows that its not the DAW that matters. Its the end result. Its not the instrument as much as it is the man who plays it. To prove it ill challenge any one to make a beat and i will make one in Fl that will shut u up quick.

  • True Story

  • @highvic....what do you think sampling is? I think I feel where you are coming from but I don't agree...the term sampling isn't simply grabbing a sould record from the 60's finding the break beat and looping it...sampling is finding that snare, that violin hit, anything that you need for your song...i once sampled a dude on the corner playing a guitar and created a beat. saying hip hop should leave sampling is like saying we should only listen to live instruments at the club and not a dj

  • videos like this make me wanna just go out and buy this shit. lmao! damn you NI!

  • get the fuk outta here

  • whats funny is that u dont need this shit to create hot shit.. get a regular piano.. flip it to ur mix program and get the craziest sound ever.. just by being CREATIVE... real producers make other producers sample they shit.. hiphop needs to break off from sampling...

a Producer that samples = a rapper with a ghostwriter!

  • @TheHighVic ahaha hip hop started from sampling why stop

  • @TheHighVic sampling is hiphop my friend, thats a part of the culture, how hiphop came to be. Not just hiphop as a matter of fact. Does it mean you have to sample all the time? of course not. You shouldn't limit yourself at all, meaning don't be stuck on "just sampling" OR "just not sampling". Basically, don't knock something just because you don't like it or don't know how to do it. I can show you sampled beats that sound nothing like what they were sampled from. How? by being CREATIVE.

  • In every producers' videos, iSee those same exact speakers.

  • @1337akk those are KRKs..they're known for having a really nice low end, which is appealing to most hiphop producers

  • There's a lot of people talking a lot of shit about dudes' beat, but I don't see none of their shit up on here...

  • Dude what a fucking weak beat

  • you chewin gum?

  • man i know this dude that wants to sell his licensed maschine software but theres no way in hell he'll sell the hardware, im not even sure ima buy this unless there's some way to use my MPD to control it? i honestly doubt it..and even then i don't see why i shouldn't just torrent it since this guy isn't giving up the hardware [he's keeping it for other DAWs, i think]

anyone know a way to use an mpd?

  • @WritingBlind ableton bruh.

  • @WossumMusic fuuuuuuck ableton

  • i love my maschine its awesome

  • He blessed camp Lo with hot beats on that uptown Saturday night album he's got a nice style

  • This video is inspirational.

  • Machine needs a keyboard... hint, hint...

  • @danstatus You can plug any midi keyboard into your computer and use it to control VSTi's in maschine

  • Can you do the same with the mikro?

  • @vijayweemhoff You can do eveything on mikro. It has the same software and samples. I have one and I love it. I'm making shit I never could just using my mouse.

  • its cool that he play all those instruments and not jus use a computer :) never really been a fan, but i guess now i am

  • the baseline is very spectacular

  • nigga be chewin yo.

  • @83BM ahahahahahahaaaa

  • @83BM Stride gum tings

  • I understand he would have put this beat together quick, but I had a great idea for a baseline when he started playing.

  • who cares. it's like like the rest of us who have to buy their products instead of getting them free.. well I won't be buying NI now since they stitched up kore owners inc. me... best check ya balance sheet at the end of the year , then you might twig lots of customers have had enough of NI's rubbish.

  • @dert78 he grabs a whole bass to do the simplest shit lol. still a dope beat though.

  • @dert78 ahahaahahahahahahahah!

  • @dert78 right..

  • 20 years in the game and this what he made with maschine..? Come on.. I have 3 years under my belt as a producer and dont have thousands of dollars worth equipment.. To tell the truth I dont have any but put my soul into it. Please check my channel.

  • @OfficialKidRhythm oh god.....you are the best....

  • @OfficialKidRhythm and then he had the nerve to put on that, "I'm the shit" face in the end! lmao!!!

  • @OfficialKidRhythm i respect what you just said, sometimes the soul is all you need, i'ma check you out and possibly sub

  • SUBSCRIBE, BEATS OVER HERE!!

  • I'm bout to work my ass and cop one

  • im so sick of this shit, all of these hip hop producers are the same "yo if ya dont know me ,....hahahaaa...been workin with *big name here* *makes beat that takes literally no effort but really gets into it like they're the second coming of christ*" its fucking retarded.

  • @InfiniteRhombus the only reason it looks like it doesnt take any effort is because he's been doing this for 20+ years

  • @ThatDudeApollo Actually if you've studied music theory or just music in general, it still wouldn't take any effort.

  • @InfiniteRhombus The second Christ makes some pretty fresh beats. Now explain what you'd like to see a producer do... I don't understand why you're bitching, you're upset with the way your peers react to music? Pussy.

I hate how easy it is to make nachos... my eyes are rolling.

  • @InfiniteRhombus if its so easy RECREATE the fucking beat.

  • @InfiniteRhombus it's just a nice way of saying fuck off to the yes men. he obviously loves to make beats and get into it so hence that is why you have interpreted him as the second coming of christ. i'm pretty sure that beat was to made hella quick just for the interview so relax and tighten up on that troll face.

  • i got that same bass

  • @Joey2kooltv u any good at it??some day ima learn

  • This dude is dope!

  • do you know if he recorded the bass straight in the maschine? or in a host daw ?

i mean, is it possible to record in real time external audio sources?

  • @johnsmith0AP u can record straight into mashine thru ur audio card

  • I got the limited editon lime green cover and wood trim, its too sexyy :D

  • My man must have the limited edition in white and wood grain....that's pimp....plus I would sample my bass guitar that same way....can't wait to get it this weekend!

  • 2:39 check the bass guitar solo!

  • i hate when people don't close their mouths to chew. even if its gum. cows.

  • what a looser

  • chuck norris made that crazy sick maschine for ski.... AFTER he got done making a crazy sick beat with it...

  • Real chat, I could suck something to that beat. Ski that nigga with the beats.

  • Is the Maschine compatible with Windows Vista?

  • the beat is for 24hrks

Sir Micheal Rocks - Cotton Candy

    just in case your wondering

  • what vst or what type of orchestra strings is he using?

  • at 3:58 Ski Beatz was so impressed with his latest veggie burger chips and beans fart but no one was around to smell it.

  • @Harrysound

Naah, that was him letting everyone around him know how dope my ass lickin' and nutsuckin' skills are. No homo, tho.

  • CLICK MY NAME FOR A HIP HOP COMPETITION! WIN, #teamGREEN

  • ski beats is a monster

  • that's a clean setup, the maschine is a nice piece of equipment

  • that beat he was making was dope. is that for 24HKS or just random?

  • whetever with REason, LIve or maschine... there is always a friend

  • whats the name of this beat??

  • Comment removed

  • fl studio or logic pro?!?

  • how is he recording bass? through a separate interface?

  • @skHatIerM he is using the guitar rig which is another interface for bass and guitar by Native Instruments, Native Instruments are the best when it comes to music software check out all their stuff

  • @skHatIerM he is using the guitar rig which is another interface for bass and guitar by Native Instruments, Native Instruments are the best when it comes to music software check out all their stuff

  • /soundsofvictory2011

    beats!

  • God damn i wish i could play bass like that =|

Metronome for whole note 4/4... what is wrong with you?!

  • could u get someone a deal

  • Lol, i got that swing

  • I just watched "Maschine 1.6 in Underworld's live setup" and now this... I feel bad for that piece of hardware and for those who enjoy such "beatz". -_-

  • He like it romantic look at the candels 2:58

  • waste of money.buy yourself mpd 26 and midi keyboard and use fl.and yeah one more thing-with this u can't make it sound like sp1200.

  • hot track ski beatz

  • Ski knw whats hot! I got the same speakers!

  • @milbeats What speakers are they?

  • Comment removed

  • @register3music rokit 5s made by krk systems. check out best buy or guitar center.

  • @milbeats Thanks so much mate!

  • @milbeats Those are actually KRK VXT8.

  • @despoiler303 No they arent. They are RP6'es of RP8's. Look at the shape of the speaker itself. The VXT's are way more curvy than the RP series.

  • @MCdrivein You are right, but the easiest way to tell was the VXT8 have a ring around the tweeter. After looking at the vid again those don't have a ring. My bad, but I think it's funny that this producer uses the "value" line of monitors. It's not like the VXT8 are that expensive in the grand scheme of studio monitors @ $1200 a pair.

  • Ski Beatz 2 raw

  • if youre bored check this banga i just uploaded, tell me if you don't like it:

    watch?v=SaACy8N7F8k

  • I don't think Native Instruments will make a DAW... I think they are making Maschine Their DAW...

  • he's using rokits?

  • what speakers are those?!

  • @timhornsby1 thanks bro! will look into those, need monitors

  • nice jumper

  • Good!

  • Hell is wrong with this guy's stupid face @ 3:56

  • I need to get my hands on one with that white finish and wood sides...

  • Wow the negative comments are overwelming. Seriously people music is made in many ways if you are a hardcore analog sampling guy this is not for you stick to mpcs. If you use software or a combination of software and hardware and make music from scratch Maschine hands down the best thing out!!! Its the closest thing to a mpc any sofware developer is going to get. Buy the way the video doesnt do Maschine justice AND NI WHEN IS THAT VERSION OF THE MASCHINE CONTROLLER GOING TO BE AVAILABLE

  • How much do you think he was paid to say all this shit? Maybe they gave him a life-time supply of gum, and some bass lessons?

  • This mashine looks Fruity as helll...

can't imagine makin beats on this...

I'll stick with my MPC 1000 and its Superior Analog sound...

the Beat makin KINGZ... J-Dilla and Madlib would never use this...!!!

  • @Rocism01 Your comment holds no weight considering that 98% of all recordings are digital now they probably would have adapted like many of the greats (Dr. Dre & Timbaland) and grabbed some top notch converters and intergrated these type of tools into there setup. Stop being ignorant time is money and although as producers we do this because we LOVE music. LOVE dont pay bills.

  • @DaBlackJedi that's the difference..you have heads that do it for the dough and kats that do it just for the Love of doing it NO MATTER WHAT...

thats why mainstream hiphop Sucks sooooo much, its all about makin money there's NO SOUL in their mainstream multimedia music anymore.

MADLiB and J-Dilla said they do this just for the LOVE of making music and None come close to them. the Resistance went Underground and that's where you'll find the Real Music...

  • @Rocism01 You realize that MPCs and all samplers are digital, not analog, right?

  • @subtracktion but the output is analog...

Digitak is good for somethings... but sometimes is just doesnt have that ruff rugged sound that analog does.

there is/was a reason the Greats used the Sp-1200.MPC's etc...

they give you a sound that the midi interfaces cannot deliver...

and there is a whole culture behind them...

  • @Rocism01 Analog outputs are nothing more than a way of recording a signal that has been converted from digital to analog inside the sampler. That doesn't make the sound analog. It's digital converted to an electrical signal that can be carried through an audio cable. Old samplers don't have an analog sound; they have a less perfect digital conversion than what's possible today. And they were used because that's what was available, not because they have some magical powers.

  • @subtracktion lol... In technical terms you are right...

the older machines are still so much better than any midi controller available today...

doing everything from your computer the music just sounds too Digitalized and too clean therefore losing the ruffness and raw sound provided by the sp-1200,mpc etc...

like I said the Greats such as J-Dilla,Madlib,Pete Rock etc used the sp 1200 and Mpc and from my experience they did so with good reason...

  • @Rocism01 Also, I'm not sure what your point about MIDI is. Most of the old samplers also have MIDI and it has no effect whatsoever on how they sound. MIDI is not audible. I understand that lots of people love the old hardware samplers. I'm one of those people. But people need to get past the imaginary legends that surround these pieces of gear and try to understand the real reasons why they give us the sound coloration they do.

  • @subtracktion hey i understand what your saying... but i can tell when a producer makes his music on a pc/mac opposed to a producer who makes music on a SP,MP etc...

like it just sounds too digitalized... like its missing something... headz are gettin lazy trying to find easier wayz to do things...

For me the sickest production i have ever heard has been from producers whom use MP's and Sp's...

  • @Rocism01 Don't get me wrong, I'm not disagreeing with your approach to music making or preference for a certain sound, just some of the finer technical points. :) I'm also not a fan of how hip hop sounds today and I think it's largely due to the popularity and ease of computer music making. I love the almost endless possibilities that computer production can give you but I think people are more creative and produce better music within limitations. I know I do, at least.

  • @subtracktion

Good point. Sometimes you get drowned by features and choices and plugins and you name it.

The most creative people often use a proven handful of tools only. Some rely on a guitar and their voice, imagine that! I got Maschine though. It's good.

  • @subtracktion

"I understand that lots of people love the old hardware samplers. I'm one of those people. But people need to get past the imaginary legends that surround these pieces of gear and try to understand the real reasons why they give us the sound coloration they do."

Good point, buying an mpc isnt gonna make you sound as good as any producer. (dirty, raw) unless you get it to sound that way.

  • this is dope. i got those new refills. Hit me up.

  • this beat is knockin tough

  • Still no time stretching..MPC ain't going nowhere until this damn thing gets the time stretch feature. I mean I be trying to lay down some dope samples and this bitch want it's to be exactly 1.4,2.4 etc!!!!!!! Anybody who samples knows this will stifle creativity. I might just have to another MPC 1000 real talk!

  • @Wisebrother78 LMFAO do you not know how to use vst TS? lol.... I agree it needs it internal... but seriously it's no harder than in an mpc... maybe I'll do a tutorial on it for ya....

  • @flux302, yeah please do...NI have added everything but this feature. I had a 1000 before and I know it will time stretch by itself.

  • @Wisebrother78 no doubt.. good comment!

  • Nice! WE have a few of those on deck, check us out!

  • I wanted to ask you guys that have the maschine do you find 1.6 to be better then 1.5 and well sampling with the 1.6 can u still use the oneshot, ahd, adsr ???? cause i upgraded to 1.6 but had to downgrade cause for some reason it wasnt giving me that option...how about you guys. i want to use komplete 7 with my maschine 1.5 is it possible????? and how

  • I DON'T UNDERSTAND why people blow $ on beat machines ? y not just get a $200 M AUDIO midi controller and download the endless amounts of VST's....plugins...one shot drum samples ?! i could understand y someone might need a beat machine back in 1995 and before

  • @UbicuoTheOld because thats what they choose to do. its all about preference, using what makes you feel the most creative. Some people like me like the convenience and versatility of software and the hands on feel of hardware and pads. I used Ableton Live, Reason, and FL Studio with my midi keyboard mpd32 and still do. But I tried out Maschine and found it to have the most user friendly workflow. Plus i haven't found no easier way to chop samples like I do in Maschine.

  • @UbicuoTheOld. I make all my beats now on Maschine and drag and drop the audio into Ableton Live then hold down Shift and press Control on Maschine and now I can control Ableton Live with my Machine Controller. Don't knock it til you try it.

  • @sunking2083 awe i just love long winded pseudo intellectual youtubers .... if your chopping samples with a piece of hardware i'm sure you make beautiful music to ass fuck your dad to

  • @UbicuoTheOld Go suck your mother

  • @UbicuoTheOld cos vst's sound like ass and midi controllers are shit 9 times out of 10. some people just dont like digital pitch either. theres fuck loads of reasons how is that even a decent question you moronic little fucktard. i dont understand why you blow smoke on your dads dick you little faggot.

  • whats the sample to this song

  • I'm new to music producing, could someone please explain me what exactly ''Maschine'' is?

Is it a software/hardware, and what can you do with it?

  • I use Maschine to do all my projects. I had an MPC and it's good, but Maschine cost less, they give you FREE upgrades and it's easier to use! Plus you can watch online tutorials from the company. The sampler is not as good as the MPC's, but I mostly play everything so it's not an issue...check out my channel to hear my work.

  • No homo, but Ski lookin' kinda zesty with them bubblicious lips just percolatin' workin' that chewin' gum.

  • @Broyale26 this is VERY homo. even if you say no homo. still homo. well.... when you say that.

  • @JDM2CRAZE

Its no skittle ova here, brah. I'm just saying, them them lips go hard in the paint.

  • SICK ASS BASS PLAYING SKILLZ 2:41

  • @jonnay100 check out kaykayonthebeatz best female producer on youtube ;)

  • @jonnay100 you aint serious, are you ? :D

  • @jonnay100 hahaha right? atleast he's playing bass though. mad respect

  • @jonnay100 get the fuck off his dick. he was playin one note. a blind, deaf monkey could do that.

  • @coocoo4cocopuffslol in that song he needed 1 note, a dream theater solo could not fit that riff, don't you think so? :)

  • @synthelabo you must not have seen the comment i responded to.

  • Wait... hot did the black man get a white Maschine? I want a white one, it looks awesome!

  • Serious no homo, but Ski got some cute ass lips.

  • @Broyale26 Serious, Why would you say gay like that.

  • @Broyale26 Pause son!

  • 22 MPC users watched this video

  • AKAI FOR LIFE FOR DRUM PAD MURDERSOUND.... sorry guy's...

  • @glsmokerUS Why apologize? You using the Akai isn't stopping people from being able to do what they're doing with THIS machine. lol It's all personal preference man.

  • @refuse2bstopped ehehhe i don't wanna stop people use that machine but i think akai is more better for a people do hip hop becuase this machine is to easy... akai ins't....

we do music... we know... and i know hip hop real... don't is whit eletronic o sound shit like pop :p this is the way i prefer akai... like old school sound... and akai work perfect whit that sound.... this machine is more good for people easy wanna do music easy whit cheap solution...realy... to easy... music isn't easy.
