  • @robelinda2 you should team up with cricinfo... you are the youtube wisden!

  • Never seen anyone else hurrying the batsmen’s like this guy does

  • OH GOD wat should i do..................but just can PRAY to GOD that bring back those fine windies bowling machines.

  • @robelinda2 WINDIES SUCKS COCK

  • @indianpunjabi4u Nah other way round, WINDIES got their giant cocks sucked by horny chicks everywhere.

  • @robelinda2 OW IT SEEMS LIKE U LOVE WINDIES BLACK COCKS 2 MUSH ALRIGHT :D

  • @indianpunjabi4u LOVE WINDIES!!!! Greatest era to watch on tv, insane aggression.

  • @robelinda2 AGGRESSION ? :D..INDIA ENDS WINDIES IN FINAL OF THE 83 WORLD CUP :P...AND I DONT BELIEVE WINDIES IS THAT GREAT COMPARE 2 AUSSIES IN THIS TIME

  • @indianpunjabi4u WI lost that match, but it was one match only. WI continued their dominance for many years, plus they were never the best on day team in the 80's, in test cricket they were brutal.

  • For me I rate Michael Holding above everyone even Marshall,Hadlee,Lilee,

  • @bhupeshyadav22 I thought Marshall was better. In terms of pace Holding may have been better but Marshall was more skillful, no?

  • Michael holding could have been an olympic athlete

  • you just got yourself a new subscriber, really enjoying the videos :)

  • @roblinda2 Thanks for all the memories Rob.. You are god's gift to all cricket lovers on Youtube.

  • I wish Aussie would return to the canary yellow uniform all the time....it just looked better and contrasted nicely with other teams. The dark green is drab and there are too many sides in green today.

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this. So nice to see Mr Chapell out for a duck. He was such a fine sportsman in that World Series [dripping with sarcasm].

  • @Read2Rock Yes, and as i said 1977.

  • What Did you say?

    PERTH... hehe .... ok!

  • this is great! any chance you have any clips from the WI vs England tour of 1986 when England lost 5-0, especially the bowling of Patterson at Sabina Park?

  • Thommo was quicker.

  • @SPOOKSTR,

So was Akhtar, but was he better.....?

  • @cquilty1

Thommo was not only the fastest of his era...he was also the most accurate.

  • @SPOOKSTR

On his day, Thommo was about as quick and devastating as you can get, but it was sheer pace and not a lot of subtetly, and his accuracy was not 100%, His test bowling average of 28.00 reflects this, compared with Holding at 23.68, Waqar Younis 23.56 (uncannily similar), Glenn McGrath 21.64 and Dennis Lillee 23.92. All accurate quickies who were also thinking, wily bowlers that did not rely purely on pace alone, even though this was still very much part of their armory.

  • @cquilty1

These were the glory days of cricket,...i miss them.

  • @SPOOKSTR

Amen, brother, but more of these athletes will come.......

The future is always bright! There's a 9-year old D.K. Lillee out there somewhere, maybe even wearing a headband and sporting an aluminium bat - let's hope he's as equally prickly, and his 9-year old Miandad is out there also!

  • @cquilty1 Lille, Holding and Roberts had tons of wickets in the Kerry Packer series that are not part of there record. They were near their best - those figs would make there record even better.

  • @AIMANALI Good point!

  • Colored clothing in 1981 ??

  • @dessy116 Coloured clothing started in Australia in 1977.

  • @robelinda2 aah...did not know :) thanks for the info again.. Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your wonderful collection of videos.... I just login and keep watching... and btw..I am an Indian and like the way you take a dig at Indians... You know there is a popular saying abt Indians..'Indians are number one in thinking that they are number one' :) Cheers ..... good luck..

  • @dessy116 You are most welcome mate, enjoy the cricket!

  • good on you really enjoyed your videos

  • funny game-- "HOLDING TO DARLING".. but really greg chappels dismissal proves that these guys had genuine pace as it appeared that he couldn't see the ball.. considering the fact that he was one of the best batsmen then..

  • Fgfhfhfgvfffg

  • You have some excellent videos. Thanks for the uploads. I have only heard about garners and holdings. Now i can see how lethal their bowling was...

  • west indies at their best is untouchable

  • GOWER, HOOPER,CHAPPELL. GREENIDGE, MIANDAD , WAUGHS,my all time favourites. Just the fact that you have all of these and willing to share this with the world shows how rare and special person you are. Also how can i get to see the whole of this match(I'm sure Viv and Clive make brilliant 50s in this match) and others.

  • @TheLuvrat austrilia was helpless against holding marshall and garner

GREENIDGE AND RICHARDS ARE REALLY GOOD

however wwest indies is now shit lol

  • Rob i don't know what to say what you haven't heard already, everyone is giving thanks to you. Many years ago i read Michael Holding's book and he rated this bowling performance as probably him at his fastest peak, and i never thought i would get to see this. You are starting to freak me out because everything i'm dreaming of seeing you are posting, it's almost like you are reading peoples thoughts. Up until last year i was saying why won't someone post VIV,LARA,CROWE,GAVASKAR,ABBAS,POINTING.

  • @TheLuvrat You are most welcome man! Pretty much the reason why i started this channel, there was hardly ANY footage on YT of these great players, and I have all this stuff just sitting around.

  • Comment removed

  • even the great sachin tendulkar has said...his best dream would be to score a century against the west indies '78 team....the fearsome four.....they were simply deadly...

  • Cool. Thanks bro. If u can post that, you will be my hero. Would appreciate it. U have some awesome collection.

  • Thanks bro. Awesome uploads. Do u have 1997 CU series game. Pak vs Aus where Pak defended 140?

  • @farrukhj Probably have it somewhere.

  • you are my cricket archive

  • @theuglyhairmonster2 I am happy to be so!

  • @theuglyhairmonster2 Wait till Mr Rob posts more of these gems from the 1970s and early 1980s.

Just kidding Rob you have done enough.

  • "Unfortunately for Greg, it's a hat-trick of ducks", lol who was the commentator? Richie Benaud ?

  • @vickyr9909 I think the commentator is Tony Cozier from West Indies.

  • Damn... Holding and the fastest pitch in the world.... bad combo for batsman !!!

  • Thx mate - lol. If you watch the ball to Chappell. Initially it seems he was attempting a hook....he was NOT he just fended it off, it hit his gloves and that is all. That was speed.
