  • Why do ppl keep saying Asian girl?... They're Japanese ppl!. I think they're pretty cool. Love their style(: Japanese ppl are interesting !

  • It is said "immitation is the greatest form of flattery", I too love Japanes culture, ever since I spent a year there as a child.

  • the songs not insulting. it's just not good. she has made much better songs. this is truly awful.

  • oh yeah nicki minaj sits on a burger king inflated throne lmao

  • if u think gwen is an insult to japanese culture try nicki minaj she jacked gwen and look stupid too claiming shes harajuku barbie

  • i think its amazing that she is just showing her adoration for the harajuku culture...I knwo one of the harajuku girls and they said that she said they were a big inspiration

  • Super KAWAII!! Favorite part.

  • @KaitoAisuLover

Gwen Stefani took a trip to Japan and went sight seeing in Harajuku. If you noticed from her outfit and her dancers outfits, she was clearly taken by the Lolita fashions (which is what Harajuku is mainly known for) and became INSPIRED. She also met Love, Angel, Music and Baby while in Japan and they love Gwen. They don't think she's being offensive.

  • now that's a concert.

  • i love you gwen

  • So what if you she likes japan ? I'm Japanese and I'm not offended at all.

    She's not like a "wapanese"

She embraces japan instead of pretending to be something she's not :p

    What's wrong with that ?

  • @xEquestrianDreamx exactly - she shows her admiration for Japan ♥

  • rino nakasone

  • truthfully i love this song! but who i dnt like is "ROLLERGIRL" if you have ever heard "Geshia Dreams" by her, its a good song sh etotally supports geshia's sorta like this song. but her video has nothing but americans in it, which dnt bother me because she was dresses like a geshia in the video. but when she was live she wore sweat pants, low down hair, and a cheap shirt. and she was michmaking AND on top ao all that all her dancers were blonde! bad the outfits were bad! but dancers were 2.

  • i wish gwen stefani was on me

  • I hate live

  • Please hear the song Got The Hots from Michael Jackson the beat is the same

  • @kakapokak There are lots of songs with the same beat.

  • How many notice a huge rip in the left armpit of Gwen's Jacket?

  • @socksumi yeah but i think it is deisgned like that to make getting in and out of her costumes quicker, coz she has very quick outfit changes in this show.

  • a lot of real 'harajuku' fashion is FAR from looking school uniforms;)

  • She's sooo cool! Look at her in the beginning.

  • love her!1

  • gwen embraces the harajuku culture by performing this song. She loves and admires and is inspired by it so much she had to bring it on to stage.

  • pliz dont call them gwens pet! im a big rino fan, one of the dancers! if u dont know her, do youtube her... 'rino'... many clips... u wont call her little asian woman no more... hehe... btw, she loves gwen, her mentor

  • pop! i like it!

  • I don't see how this is insulting... I find it... really cute :)

  • It's kinda wrong that she has 4 asian women follow her around like they belong to her.

And she named them like pets.

    Love, Angel, Music and Baby...

  • @zop010203 I bet she can dance better than you. Please don't hate!

  • @zop010203 But what would be the point in that? She's a singer not a dancer > , <#

  • I love Gwen she is so beautiful so talented an Icon to me this song expresses how she feels about that culture those Harajuku girls were so lucky they work with her and she was kind enough to share the spot light !!

  • Lol. I love the way wapanese people pronounce Japanese xD It's halarious if it werent so insulting.

  • do ppl come her just hate?

  • She should've stayed with No Doubt..she was awesome then

  • I like Gwen Stefani

  • COME ON. Four Asian girls that a white woman, Gwen, totes around like fashion acessories? That is so offensive, and Gwen Stefani is SUCH a wapanese. Disgusting.

  • @ParamoreLove67

well it is a career, its called background dancing. gotta make a living til you go solo.

  • how are the lyrics insulting? its nothing but compliments, humor, and her dancers really help pull her stage show together. yall crazy

  • @555MARCUS666 I know there is nothing insulting about it man why people had to hate to make such harsh statements is just a song she is expressing herself and sharing the spot light GOD those girls are lucky they got to work with Gwen

  • @555MARCUS666

agreed =P atleast Gwen actually took liking to Harajuku culture instead of pretending to like it for her fans

  • I like the outfit of the girls. If it was more colourful it would be more Harajuku-ish, though.

But the dance remembers me of J-pop :D

  • she should of had a fashion show on stage while she sang, with all the different harajuku styles, otherwise i love this song

  • awesome song!

  • i love harajuku culture and clothing, they should all be wearing different aspects.

i wonder if everyone even knows what it is

  • i love gwen shes awesome live i saw her a few yrs ago with my aunts cousins and my mom and it was the 2nd best concert ive ever been 2! black eyed peas is the 1st

  • I love Harajuku fashion and I like listening to Gwen Stefani but what annoys me about this song(and performance) is that the girls are wearing the same outfits, which are very simple and not too Harajuku-ish,of course they also have to dance in it so I see where that comes into play, but they should have different and a little more elaborate outfits and definitely more colorful, and one more thing, she also not pronouncing Harajuku right.

  • she just loves harajuku girls BUT she said u mix an match , they r wearing the same outfits and they are boring outfits 2

  • god they took there time gettin out

  • i <3 harajuku girls i <3 gwen

  • idk bout ya but everybody knows gwen have always had a weird but unique style of singing. i agree...if you dont like it then dont listen to her or watch this vid...LoL

  • fuck jou!! we sees that gwen like maddonna!!

    gwen have one style!!

if jou hate gwen. dont look at her then!!!!

  • dis remnds me of my flight to malta and i wass listening 2 dis song der whole 3 hours

  • ok I love this song, and I love how gwen embraces the culture of Japan....but SERIOUSLY...

When she speaks or sings Japanese....her pronunciation is just......it's not right....

trust me, I know, I've been studying that language for a LONG time....I love her...

    but no...just no

  • The beginning rhythm was catchy then her voice got annoying.

  • The performance kinda gets boring. And she gets out of breathe quick. It's a shame she went back with the band and nothing has come out from them yet. She should have continued her solo career. =D

  • I love that song! I wonder if I can convine Davo to play it on Mix 93.3?

  • I love Gwen S. and the Harajuku style

  • me 2 ^^

  • @TripTea ummmm gwen stefani is alive and well she has two kids and she is married and her and no doubt made a new song jus last year wht the hell or u talking about

  • Yea, Gwen has much better vocals than Madonna. But Madonna was an innovator. Both are great in their own right. I do like No Doubt better than pop princess.

  • gwen i love joU!

    jou are not maddona

    gwen have her one stye

whit no doubt !!!!!!!! i love gwen

    ent no doubt!!!

  • gwen stefani not madonna....she has her own style in stepping..so fuck off to ya who said it's really look like madonna...gwen stefani and harajuku girls the best damn things ever!!!!

  • super kawaki means super cute!

  • wow the performance was really cute i love the part where one of the harajuku girls where like "super kawaii that means super cute in japanese" that was cute but this song realllllly reallly sucks! the lyrics are terribble i could have though of that

  • This is her "Vogue." Watch Madonna's performance at the MTV Music Awards of an earlier era. While Madonna's was more stylized and the dancing was more sophisticated, I think Gwen is stepping on her shoulders in a very lovely way. Is this kitsch or camp or fetish or bubblegum? Who knows?

  • that doesn't make sense. at all. you probably should have read what you said before you posted the comment.

you typed: "just cant sing worth nothing"

then: "her songs are still decent"

she obviously can sing. at least, decently, in your eyes, right? haha, dumbass.

  • @yyeroc oh im sorry lemme break it down for the dumb fucks like you...

im saying that she cannot sing live and in person but when her voice is edited to sound cute like she most likely wanted it her songs sound decent i like her but she cannot sing, retard :) kk? get it? got it? good :)

  • @inuloveyou haha goddamn. i dont really care that much about it really

  • In my opinion it looks too much like Madonna!

  • Sorry but Madonna did the throne "thing" long after this tour.

  • @ btytsd - so what?

  • I have the two Harajuku Perfumes :D

The Music and Love Perfumes ^^

  • der street look steht gwen wesentlich besser als das hier :/ aber die Harajuku girls sind so cool !!

  • Wow it would've been awesome to be there to see this performance. I get chills every time I watch this vid.

  • i am your biggest fan

  • That outfit's pretty damn fail for Harajuku fashion.

  • Me encanta Gwen, esta rola esta muy buena!!!!

  • Really? Why?

Gwen actually spent time in Japan as Kawaiineko997 had stated. In fact she met L.A.M.B. in Japan personally. Gwen knows exactly what Harajuku is and its particular fashion culture. Hence why the dancers and Gwen herself are wearing lolita-based outfits.

  • I think this song was misunderstood by gwen fans as well as japanese fashion fans. She probably knows more about the fashion then it looks. besides shes been dabbling in japan since no doubt. She probably used the scene to attract an audience b/c it was new to western eyes. i think she wanted to show her love for "harajuku fashion" even if it turned into a wapanese anthem =/ Also it's much easier to say "harajuku girls" than to say "Decora, lolita, gyaru girls I am your biggest fan", you know?

  • スーパー かわいい!!

  • did gwen recruit the girls herself?

  • Yes she did, they are all of japanese heritage and all of them have formally studied dance for most of their lives.

  • this is my fav song out of all of them

i also have gwen stefani's new perfume called harajuku lovers of the BABY one and i love it!!!!!! she is the best!!!!

  • ke canzone è?

  • SE LLAMA HARAJUKU GIRLS

  • i don,t like the lyrics :S

but hte rest of the things are awesome!

  • My understanding is that the girls in a particular prefecture in Tokyo, where the main train station was Harujuku, would all assemble at this station regularly to compare their fashion creativity, and this spawned the concept of Harujuku Fashion.

  • wat song is it? Oh yeah lovin the entrance it was sugoi!!

  • the entrance was so grand.

  • not even harajuku is a style how do you think people get dressed up as at convenchans it also a place in japan

  • Comment removed

  • Gwen stefani, like my idol..hahaha i have all the harajuko perfumes..lol-had to have them lol

  • whoo!! i love gwen!!

  • I think the background dancers should of had each different outfits.

Sorry, but the song is about Harajuku, and there all of the cloths are different.

  • @RozenMaiden4ever If you were a true Gwen stan you would know that her Harajuku girls were specifically inspired by lolita style. Just be grateful that she's getting everyone into Harajuku style okay?!?!

  • @PATRlCK1 1. This song good, but I would say I'm far from a fan of her.

    2. Why tell me that I've wore loita since I was tweelve.

    3. where did I say i wasn't Harajuku inspired? To me it looks like I said .... well look at it..

  • I adore the Harajuku fashion. <3

  • There is Harajuku fashion, I think most people call it Decora. And there also is gothic lolita, along with sweet lolita.

  • there's a lot of subcultures in harajuku dercora is one of them but harajuku fashion isn't called decora :D

  • Gwen Stefani = princess of pop !!

  • This is my fave song off the album.

  • ooh catchy.

  • they just sell clothes. but like. YEAH XD

  • i love Harajuku Fashion :]

    its so unique!

  • i want to see the dvd for the sweet escape

  • she's soo fucking bad ass -_-

  • The sound system is really great.

  • Whoa!

    Love the song ;)

  • as a loli i find this a little affencive

  • wanna get married japanese guy!

  • me too! :D

  • i m baby super kawaii

  • I LOVE HARAJUKU LOVERS!!!! <3

    KAWAI!!

  • where was this??

  • anahiem by LA

  • this was really good. it gave me chills!!

  • You people and your drama... *rolls eyes*

I love this song and Gwen put on an amazing show! :D

  • that was one of the worst songs ever! and if each girl is unique and original in ahrajuku, why would all of her backup dancer be wearing the same thing? if kawaii is the center of harajuku, why is her song so hard and sour? shouldn't it be sweet and bubbly?

  • Have to agree, And also now is everybody calling her a Harajuku Girl when she doesn't even look a BIT like it ...

  • Its called harajuku because A) the people who wear the style usually hang about "harajuku Station" are and B) its a mix of cosplay, lolita, goth, punk, and sassy so it CAN be cute or it CAN be punk, she just said she THOUGHT the style was Kawii

And the backup dancers arent really wearing harajuku-style outfits, they look like punky school clothes

  • i love harajuka :)

  • you can't even spell harajuku right

  • the way she says harajuku is kinda funny. lol ^w^ but shes still cool

  • this song has horrible horrible lyrics

  • I completely agree! The lyrics are insulting to the intelligence of anyone who listens to it. Her voice is great, just as it's pretty cool that she cares about the Harajuku culture enough to bring the girls everywhere with her. But that pales in comparison to the ridiculous lyrics. The lyrics demean her adoration and respect for the culture. I felt like I was watching Bratz come to life.

  • @lotwte I fail to see how the lyrics are demeaning in any way. If you look them up, they're nothing but nice things. There's nothing but adoration and respect in them.

  • @lotwte you make me sick. The song is one of the best she has done. Get over it. It just makes me more interested in the culture of Japan. She is not making fun of any one but wishing she could bring the awesome style to us all, even if is ahead of their time. So many cute styles so far behind. xxxx

  • this video shows the charisma, and energy this woman is capable of!! she is one of the best entertainers, and treats her fans to excellent shows!

  • Everyone says this about every band/singer/whatever they like...

  • I wonder why she made their costumes for the performance all match? I mean, there are so many awesome styles in harajuku! She could have chosen four different ones, maybe that would have contrasted a bit much (imagines decora with goth loli)

  • "Harajuku girl you got the wicked style I like the way that you are i am you biggest fan"

  • :-)

  • Whhat? is not racist!!

    She loves Harajuku:D

    great song:)

  • why..? shes saying she likes there culture and that she loves their style, wuts racist bout that....?! BTW, im latino so dont be saying tht imma white racist person!

  • what?! are u saying only whites are racist?

  • Wow Moncreme, you really don't understand what racism is, do you? Let me help you: racism is a negative attitude towards a person or a group of people because he/she/they are members of a certain race. For example: "I hate Joe because he's Chinese" would be a racist statement. Having said all that, I don't see anything about this song that would suggest a negative attitude towards the Japanese. If anything, it appears that Gwen is quite fond of the quirkiness of the girls in Harajuku.

  • I think moncremebrulee was maybe referring to the fact that Gwen has these four Asian girls running around her like her little pets. Maybe. I don't really know. But they're serving her like a queen...

  • I don't think Gwen means it to come out that way...Gwen is a huge fan of the Japanese culture, as the song says.

  • they are her back up dancers

  • The song is about Japanese girls. So what would be better, having a bunch of non-Asians dress up in silly Jerry Lewis Asian makeup so they can look like Harajuku Girls?

  • They are from Japan, well one is Japanese American..

  • I was just going to say the same thing. I was beat to the post.

  • whoooo! Harajuku girls! I watched this concert over 20 times on t.v.
