I like both versions, but prefer the english version. If i feel like watching a slapstick generic but hilarious nonetheless 'sitcom' (which it is) Ill watch the american version. If i want a more wordy, dialogue based show with hilarity through realism, ill watch the UK classic. Plus David Brent is better than Michael scott any day. BRITISH OFFICE IS THE ORIGINAL,THE BEST! US Office is more corny, but good. David Brent's an iconic creation, to be marveled at & emulated for generations. Michael Scott's a very fine comedic character. But like Orca was to Jaws, or The Omen was to The Exorcist, the US Office is inferior - a lesser copy. Unless, of course, if you have lower mental faculties then you'll probably prefer the US Office. It's got less subtle, less nuanced humor. The less intellectually competent person will "get it."
