@guitarflo123 You should. I've owned a few specials and two of these, and frankly -- if you change the bridge pickup to the one that the special uses, it actually is a better sounding guitar (imo). Probably due to the lack of lacquer choking the body.

@kylethapk No honestly china made guitars are bad they look good but they are bad in workmanship on this fender starcaster stat were the frets meet the fretboard the person who pushed them in have pushed them so tight they have damage the fretboard by squashing the wood there are knife marks all over the fretborad, the paint has had a cemicial reaction and it's rippled in places another mates eppi LP had to be taken back to the shop to get a new jackplug. but my Gibson SG has had no trouble.

@PizzaPusher2 hey, I don't know if you gotten a guitar yet but this Sg rocks. I've had mine for 4 years. It was either this or the Dean shadow ML, I ended up getting the Dean a couple of weeks ago, and love it, but I'm glad i got the Sg first. Stock it sounds awesome, but throwing in a better set of pickups will make this guitar everything you'll need or want. I put an Angus young sig. humbucker in the bridge and a 57' classic in the neck, and it sounds even better. hope this helps

@superlou1s the finish is ok, for me is goodenough, i also own G400 and must say g400 shines like dog's balls i comparison to SG :DDD and it sounds waaay better than g400

@superlou1s i LOOOVEEE the finish wood finishes look so bad ass and raw to me i love them. i have a black version of this guitar if only it was unfinished and they play awsome when kept well...personally my favorite guitar or one of. just the price and playability cant b beat

@superlou1s I have the one in faded cherry and it feels so great in your hands its my favorite guitar. I like the finish, it looks vitage and it feels and look very natural. I'll be buying the faded brown soon. And also the sound Great without all the paint the SG standard has. Get one fast@@
