I don't understand the use of the three inverted out runners ( aside from carrying more payload ).... Mine is basically the same design but only three uprights, & seemingly more nimble than this model.

@prmpfbubub Wow very pretty nature! i'm setting up FPV cam and transmitter (on a plane) but have the Tx heating so hot, wonder what to stick it with. It's 1000mW, should have used a weaker one probably... Yours is very clean actually, no parasite noise or spikes. Must be helped by a patch antena i guess.

@hallobaaaby of course it is very clean. what you can see here is the video recorded on the memory card of the gopro on the plane. the picture in my goggles from the downlink was rather different ;-)

There is a small cable that runs from the helicopter, this is connected to a VHS video tape. You then play the VHS tape on a TV.

@Blooper1980 A cable? Nope, there seems to be an antenna on top of the tripod at around 0:25. That is most likely the video receiver. The heli is equipped with 2 cameras, the hd one for filming and a purpose-built one for all the fpv stuff.

The fpv camera system transmits the video to the receiver which is connected to a tv screen or a similar device. Another way to do that is to connect the receiver to video goggles instead of a tv.

Ofc these guys may have done it some other way =D
