  • WOW

  • This is truly a vague, tiny preview of what a heavenly choir is equivalent to. They have always been angelic and celestial with their worship. BEAUTIFUL!

  • AMEN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WOOOOWWWWWW!!!!Awesome so awesome,,,Praise God for that...

  • How cool was that. "YES"!!!!!

  • Where was this recorded?? Is this their old building??

  • @unitedpraise10 yup. this is a long time ago. The soloist is still here though. We moved to the new building in 2002 I believe.

  • Love the pastel

  • Is there a sound track to this song somewhere I love this version?

  • is there a sound track to this song somewhere I love this version?

  • muy lindo! Existía un video donde cantaba este mismo coro este aleluya acompañados de Steve Green, Sandi Patty entre otros. alguien sabe donde puede estar?? :D

  • I laugh at the arguments between narrow-minded traditionalists and those who insist that 18th century music must be re-arranged like this to be interesting. Music serves *many* purposes for different people. It rises or falls greatly as a matter of taste, for which there is no accounting. I'm a hard-core classical music listener and I love this. The syncopation at 2:55 really made me jump! To these performers, I say, "Great Job!"

  • I've performed this a number of times, and I think Handel would have really liked this version!

  • AMAZING!

  • Beautiful Praise Yahweh

  • Very best version of Hallelujah Chorus that i've ever heard.

  • This is another version of Hallelujah chorus.Very inspiring

  • Judging by their hair styles, this looks like it was performed in the early to mid '90s. (Anybody know when this was done?)

  • TOTALLY WICKED!

  • I loved it, it's the best modern version of all !!!

  • I loved it, it's the best modern version of all !!!

  • This is almost blasphemous... Electric guitar? I guess this is what it takes to get some people to appreciate music in worship. Horrible...

  • @craige1977 Relax... arent you overreacting?

  • @craige1977 Its too bad you dont get it

    Merry Christmas!

  • @craige1977 How can an electric guitar be blasphemous? It's just a musical instrument.

  • @craige1977 really?

2 Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.

3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

There are plenty more scriptures that basically say that it doesn't matter HOW you worship him, just that you worship him wholeheartedly! Electric guitar is not blasphemous, I play it on a worship team and the worship in that church is unreal and God really moves, doesn't matter whether it's traditional or not.

  • I have tears running down my face. I love the original. However this arrangement is fantastic and the voices . . . WOW! Blessings to you all for making this performance so inspirational! Hallelujah!!!

  • The director is about to lift off at 4:53. What a horrible butchering of music that needs not be arranged to be beautiful. Something about The Messiah, un-messed with, is much more powerful than this nonsense.

  • This is one of the most incredible things I've ever heard! Gave me goosebumps! Hallelujah - Praise the Lord for this beauty:)

  • @MiddleEarthGirl75 I agree! I heard this on the radio yesterday, could NOT get it out of my mind! Beautiful way to praise our God!

  • Wonderful renedition of Handel's Messiah!

  • I love the multiracial factor ! the excellence, the power, the happiness is there !

  • @mvpinmymind Well, I suppose we can all get along when we want to, can't we? Too bad we aren't always that way. It would be a much better and more peaceful world if we were.

  • @MsAppassionata and I agree, in other words...I am saying exactly the same. "Imagine" a world like that...

  • @mvpinmymind well it is Brooklyn in NYC which is very diverse. The whole church is like that. I've been going to that church since I was 4 and I'm 18 now. It's always been this way. Visitors are always so astonished that it's so diverse and can't believe that people of all races from all over the world are gathered in one place with so much love filling the room. That's Jesus for you.

  • Is this a Baptist church? Any ideas?

  • Handel's Young Messiah is my favorite rendition and you guys did it perfectly!

  • Mere words can not express how up lifting that was!

  • Very up lifting! Awesome!

  • Glory to God for this timeless praise song to the Lord !

  • @jurmongler, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but who's to say Jesus wouldn't roll over in his empty grave if he heard Handel's version. :) It's all music to celebrate Jesus. :) Therefore, it is in itself good. :)

  • Is this the Hip Hop Harlem version? Not to be negative but Handel will roll over in his grave if he found out the spin you put on this classic song.

Prefer the original classic version best.

  • @jurmongler so do you believe that because African Americans are in it that it has to be hip hop....there are many african american's that enjoy classical music....music is not meant to be made and remain the same way forever...since Handel was a true musician I believe he probably would be proud that his music was made into another version...it is showing how much people adore him as a musician that they want to perform his piece

  • @jurmongler this is hardly hip hop... lol sad that ignorance and racism can taint even the most beautiful things.

  • @jurmongler First of all, this isn't Hip Hop. Secondly, Harlem is not in Brooklyn, stupid.

  • @jurmongler Good grief! It's called originality. Let me explain..God gave us "originality" so that the world wouldn't be a boring place to live with all of the arts looking and sounding the same. This version wasn't meant to be put against any or the original versions! It's incredible in it's own merit.

  • @jurmongler amen!

  • One of the greatest versions of this heavenly and God honoring song! May we all sing it to Him one day in His presence!

  • Whoa! That was a slice of heaven!

  • Wow, what an arrangement. Love it

  • Heaven is going to be GREAT!!!!!

Our voices are going to be a thousand times more melodious with tones and pitches we cant hear now. No sickness no death no shadow of the curse.

Our singing will be unimaginable and we'll just be thanking Jesus and our father for getting us there and past this time.

  • @Kimosaki1 My mom died for a couple of minutes and was about to enter heaven when Jesus came to her and told her it was not her time. She said she heard singing, the most beautiful singing, she could not describe it but she said there were MULTITUDES of voices singing in harmony...I can't wait but heaven is not our final home, I can't wait till we reign with Christ in the new earth..it's going to be glorious..it's hard to imagine with how crappy this world is but I remember how good God is and..

  • @stop08it WOW! Your mom got a taste HOW WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok I'm starting to tear up. God is sooooo Wonderful

  • @Kimosaki1 AMEN AND AMEN!!!!!!!!1 IT IS GOING TO BE GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!

  • @Kimosaki1 AMEN & AMEN AGAIN...ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA!!!!

  • @Kimosaki1 AMEN!!!

  • @Kimosaki1 am I evil for laughing my ass off at this comment? perhaps.

  • Not for nothing but how could you want to be Atheist after hearing this???

  • Got Me Through A Tough Place! Thank You !! HIGHLY Annointed and Excellently Performed And Arranged. GOD Bless You !

  • I wasn't expecting to like this. I love choirs, mainly traditional and classical, gospel choir has never been my cup of tea. Some would consider turning 300 year old "The Messiah" into a gospel song to be sacriledge, but this choir is actually pretty good. I wonder what the original Maestro George Fredrick Handel would think if he heard this?

  • This is more than wonderful. In fact, It's incredible. I never knew how the spirit of God led me into this page today and I witnessed the awesome glory of God in a different way. God bless this Choir, especially the one who modernized this song to this test.

  • This vid had me weeping like a baby.

  • Beautifully sung and obviously a great deal of hard work went into the practice, but it's just not the way Handel wrote it. (that's intended as an observation, it would be difficult to criticize such enthusiasm)

  • wow that is amazing!!! love it!!

  • A-Le-Lu-Ia.....Love this song

  • ME ENCANTA

  • ME ENCANTA

  • fantastic celebration!!!

  • lovely

  • What a powerful performance!

  • Love this version...PTL!

  • thank you O LORD for own WILL and OWN PURPOSE we are created to your own image to gorify you

  • Superb!!!!!!!!

  • Praise God!!!!!! Wonderfully done.

  • OK HOW DO YOU DO A GREAT VERSION LIKE THIS AND NOT HAVE NO HAMMOND ORGAN PLAYING?!?!?!!?!?! forreal?!?!?!

  • @isaiahangelo By having the voices! the Human Hammond! :) +

  • fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • shivers that's probably the best version of this classic I've yet heard - and I've heard it sung squillions of times by choirs great and small. Sorry @sbilfer and gijohn1969 but this beats any starchy white bread version out there. LOVE!

  • Wow what an inspiration to all and the lead singer has the best voice I have ever heard .If only our church was like that I would be there every Sunday .

  • i love the lady singing

  • wow.....................amazingly impressive

  • good song

  • wish I could go to that church!

PARABENS.Cantem !

  • Keep on praising. GOD is good all the time. Amen.

  • Hallelujah! That was wonderful. That is what real joy is supposed to be.

  • Ruined it.

  • Id like the lyrics

  • Father, I wanna go home... Ammeeennnnnnnnnnnnn...

  • Father, I wanna go home...

  • please pray for my country Indonesia. the Moslem radicals seem to want to have everything to be under their control. they burn churches, do violence against the Christians, ban churches from being built even though the government has issued the permission to build them. funny thing is that the government and the police forces can not and will not do anything to prevent these violence from happening. even they keep producing laws and acts that tend to enforce these actions against human rights.

  • @sepinih Dear friend, may God bless you and protect you. Jesus said: Blessed are those who are persecuted - may you be truly blessed. My heart and prayers are with all persecuted Christians around the world

  • @cerrri Thank you so much for the blessings and prayers, that means a lot to us. Really! Greetings from the Christians in Indonesia.

  • I wonder if Handel ever could have imagined the powerful, lasting impact his composition would have had on this world for generations to come? *grin*

  • @loyaltothelion I believe George Handel was truly inspired by GOD!

  • I have never heard it quite like this excellent work truly doing it justice and in a modern way excellent

  • THIS IS WORSHIP THE LORD IN PURITY AND IN TRUTH

  • FILL FILL FATHER WITH HOLY SPIRIT NOW ALL WORLD

  • I know this was first recorded in the 80's, and I was in Brooklyn when this was performed. But there is, in my mind, no better version of the Hallelujah (amen) Chorus than this. The original is celestial by itself, but this one brings true soul into the spirit of the song. Yes, as some have said, THIS is the song sung before the Divine Throne. I have no doubt.

  • I keep playing it and singing along. Halle Hallelujah Halle ... I think it will be one of the songs we will be singing before HIS throne of glory in heaven. What a joy! Meanwhile let's pray and spread the word so that more people will be in heaven than in hell

  • wow the new song sang by many angels as in Revelation 5.8-13

  • I LOVE YOU GOD.........YOU ARE MY LIFE

  • Im sorry, but that was a disgusting bastardization of a beautiful work.

Also, the solo singer was not a Soprano, which is suppose to sing the refrain kiiiiiiiiing of kiiiiiiiiiings looooooord of loooooords..., and she couldn't hold the not because she didn't have any breathing training and had to let it go early.

  • @sbilfer Amen! Sorry, there are two songs in this world not open for artistic interpretation and changing the arrangement, The National Anthem (or any countries anthem for that matter), and The Hallelujah Chorus.

  • @gijohn1969 What nonsense. Any music can be open to artistic interpretation. Ever hear Marvin Gaye's version of the National Anthem or Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner?

  • This is a small peek into Heaven. A preview, so to speak, of us praising our King and Saviour forever! What is additionally special is that the singers know who they are singing to. It's not a performance to be judged by men but rather a love song to their LORD!

  • Excelente!!!

  • Ithik Brooklyn Tab is phenomenal !!! I love their music and their anointing...God bless them all!

  • Just breath taking....thank you Jesus!!!

  • poor Händel deid second time :) but joyfulness is great ! :D

  • muito lindo... Glória a Deus!!!!

  • wow beautiful

  • Excellent!!!!! that's a piece of what angels are doing up in heaven. lol, I do like music., may GOD put me in his choir when we get in heaven. XD!

  • Wow... This is why I DO believe in Daddy God...

Thank you so much for giving us the great opportunity to enjoy celestial and heavenly music here on earth. God bless you !!!!!

  • Awesome! God bless you all

  • chupahombrrre, there is a difference between improving upon Handel and contextualizing it.

  • It takes a special kind of arrogance to presume to "improve" the music of the Great Masters. E.g., "improve" means turn Handel's stately and glorious Hallelujah Chorus into an appallingly cheap and tacky disco party mix.

  • Unbelievable !!!!!! Awesome !!! Wish I was there. Being in a choir myself, I can appreciate the time and practice that went in to this. You are a Blessed (and Dedicated) choir. The Lord has assembled His Heavenly Choir already hear on Earth. I can't wait to hear you sing with the angles in Heaven.

  • lovely praise the name of Jesus

  • Excelent!!!!!!!!

  • Beautiful! Thanks for posting! My Dad passed away suddenly on February 4th of this year from a massive heart attack. He loved this song and I love listening to it now and remembering him. Really, remembering my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because I am so thankful that my Dad is with the Lord and I have assurance that I will see him again! Thank you Lord Jesus! Hallelujah!!!

  • The Brooklyn Tabernacle was originally built for evangelist Charles Finney's ministry in the 1800s. Some burned the first construction attempt because they heard blacks and whites would worship together. Look at it now! Rev. 5:9. The Autobiography of Charles Finney, as well as Revival Lectures and his Systematic Theology are great to read. Do it again, Lord!

  • May He do it more and more!

  • absolutely love the soloist!!!annointedx voices

  • Hallelujah, indeed! Talk about "making a joyful noise unto the Lord"! The Psalmist David would be proud, my brothers and sisters, Amen.

  • That made my day! AMEN!

  • A different arrangement but the message is still the same!!!!

  • WOW! I am a singer myself & often I hear all the 'flaws' in most contemporary singers' voices, especially 'pop stars' who must add tons of electronics to have any vocal sound at all. But THESE folks are REAL singers! The sound comes from the heart & the pure joy of raising your voice in song. I would love to be the woman who sang the solo. What must it feel like to be "backed" by that thundering wall of sound? I loved this video.

  • Happy Easter!

  • maravilhoso!!!

  • This was the most joyfullest sound I've ever heard. It gave me cold chills. Absolutely beautiful!!! Praise God for all the wonderful men & women to whom he gave the ability to do this, so others my rejoice in the sound of their voices. <3

  • Happy Easter!

  • Thank God for Easter, let's celebrate!

  • this song is very beautiful! Can anyone get me the lyrics in this song? (English or Portuguese)
