  • Hey, is this lehner motor good for bashing or is it a track star? Also what was the top speed you could get out of it? Last question did the motor excellerate quickly off the line?

  • hey what did u use for a arms and chasi and wheels plz respond plxz tks and motor great vid

  • @OREGONSEXTREMERC Just click the link in the description and see the full description of every detail of the project, along with still photos!

  • thought that this wasn't a project, my completely cuctom tt is a project

  • JANG, since the rustler vxl and the slash 2wd have the same chassis, can i do it to my rustler? will there be the same amount of work?

  • @EcHOx94 Rustler is shorter, so these bodies won't fit. You'd need to use a large 1/10th scale buggy body like an HSP/Himoto/Redcat shell and a smaller wing & wing mount would be more appropriate too, just to keep anything from looking too large. Speaking of large, though, these wheels/tires may look a bit large on the shorter, wider Rustler as well! Hah! All a matter of scale.

  • is there a body that will fit it from amainhobbies

  • great editing

  • This is awesome.

  • does this still handel like a slash or like a buggy?

  • is the body t one on t link

  • @TheHobbiest1000 Just click the link in the video description or find it under Projects at Ultimate RC or Ultimate Traxxas :)

  • @TheTerd911 An actual 1/8th scale buggy.

  • hey, which springs did you use? i know that they are from losi, but they make a lot of springs. I think its the 2.5". Maybe u can give a serialnumber or something like that. thnx!

  • whats the current top speed it reaches?

  • @lopez5678 means the vehicle has dimensions which are one eighth that of a real car.

  • what does the 1:8th mean?

  • would you recommend for the "4x4 backslash" to stick with a stock motor or no? because i am debating whether i should sell my velineon 3x for the mamba max,

  • Was that on 4 cells ?

  • @f1freak1964 That was 3S.

  • lol it looks like a plane taking off

  • awesome i did this with my slash like 2 weeks ago and it was more like a slash 4x4 with no bumpers or body mounts with only a b4 wing on it lol. it liked how it jumped more but i still want it to be short course because im gonna get an rc8be

  • Hi Jang, I know you recommend the Pro-Line Crowd Pleaser 2 for the 777. My LHS has a cheap (half -price) Pro-Line Crowd Pleaser 2 for the MBX5. Do you know if the MBX5 body would be suitable?

    Thanks, Pete

  • @smileypjau I haven't tried the Pro-Line body for the Mugen, but the *stock* MBX5 body definitely fits -- that was actually the first body I tested successfully.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork i love your conversion to backslash and i have some questions... how do you make the body mounts fit a body from the stock slash mounts? and where can you get/make the body mount posts for it? also can i just use a buggy body, a wing and stock tires? would that work? but my most important question is about the body post mounts... PLEASE REPLY thanks

  • @airsoftawesomeness Just responded on my channel about the body mounting. Simple answer is that it's covered with words & photos on the project page. Not all bodies will fit though. The ones been able to make work are this one, the stock MBX5 one, and now the stock RC8 body. Stock tires would be okay, but they just have so little traction, it's hard to drive well with them.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork hey jang i have a question... can i use the hpi hellfire wing mount set that comes with the hpi wing and hpi hellfire wing mount? will that fit my slash 2WD? please reply, thanks jang

  • @airsoftawesomeness I haven't seen what mount comes with an HPI wing. You'd be best off asking on the URC forum where there are more folks who have tried more different options than I have.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork Jang, im getting frustrated because im struggling with getting the wing mount on and cutting the body is the hardest.... please help me PLEASE i cant figure out where to cut on the body.... please try to help me

  • what motor is that

It sure has a lot of power

  • @timmytime1793 That was an old, old, Lehner Basic 5300. Not a powerful BL motor by today's standards at all.

  • @ 0:23

    d...d...d...DAMN!

  • Check out the project page under Projects at UltimateRC . com for all of the details on how this was built.

  • Love it. Are you planning to do a Slash 4x4 conversion? Backslash 4x4

    (Please tell us you are)

  • Not a Backslash style conversion, no. Honestly not 100% positive what I'll do with the 4x4 yet (haven't received mine yet), but I'm sure I'll think of something ;)

  • This was the one that started it all! The original 1:8th buggy-style conversion for the Traxxas Slash! Many thanks & props to all of the folks across the country who have done their own \Backslash conversions!
