I'm a big fan of this song because the Irish love to sing it, no more than my Mother. It was sung by Mary Hopkins in the Eurovision song contest in 1968. Although it didn't win, today it remains a very popular song in Ireland to this day. I've heard it several times and always believed it was of Russian or there abouts. That is 100% for certain.
