Haven't heard this gem in a long time. It's so great to watch the video again after all these years (I think this video dates back to 81 or 82) and it's still as original and creepy as it was back when it first aired.
My favorite moment was when he breaks through the door and it cuts to a Super 8 film version of the "Happy" couple leaving in a hearse no less lol. Maybe someone knows where this was filmed but it looks to me like the interior was the Kaiser Convention center in Oakland. I saw Skid Row with Pantera as the opening act there in 1991. It was a freaking awesome show.
I guess he mean to say that marriage is ruining the love you can have for someone. Because it is not righteous to live in a free relationship. Thus being free is bad. This being married is a trap for simple minds (and potential benefits for others). But I'm reaching.
I had just fallen in love with the Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser and was on my first of what would eventually be three '69 Vistas (the year Eric had on "That '70s Show") over the years.
I had a list of "Top 100 Vista Cruising Songs" back then.

In retrospect, this reminds me a little of "The Graduate" meets "Night of the Living Dead".

the songs from the 80's like this one that didn't use any synths were the better 80's songs, and sound much fresher today.
