  • "Memories... memories that will last a lifetime."

  • Incredable sound track. i bought a wii to play this on the vc, but i still had to get a copy for my snes from ebay (as i lost my one years ago while moving house bummer) it came the other day. i love this game so many memorys,

  • Edward Cullen dislike this.

  • @duffylad1k90 best comment ever.

  • Imagine a live orchestra playing this classic song with a few others from this game.

  • I want this to play at my funeral.

  • @duffylad1k90 cool comment, i love this track too :D

  • Comment removed

  • Just great...

  • This song is Simon Belmont's Victory theme.

  • Dracula's Scrapbook: Fangs for the Memories.

  • I wonder if I can request music like this, on the radio...

  • @Poodleinacan They should just have a station that plays only video game music.

  • @meowskull Actually if you want something that is SORTA similar to that, you should check out the Retro Beats Podcast by Derek Alexander (The Happy Video Game Nerd), it's a free to download or just on the internet podcast where he just plays 8 and 16-Bit game music and it works like a radio station with various songs from a ton of series, he even takes requests and talks about the songs in little mic breaks like an actual DJ on a radio station.

  • @meowskull Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont think gaming is dying. a lil too much "Me Too" goin on but far from dying. No matter how many currrent gen games i play its few and far between that you find gems that etch themselves *music and all* into your memory. I mean honestly if you heard some of the current gen music ya wouldnt recognize it vs the next game but i bet if you heard the intro to say ohh Chrono Trigger a bell would instantly go off.

  • Whoa... settle down, purist. It's great to appreciate the classics, but there are a lot of great games out these days. Advance Wars, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Halo, LittleBig Planet, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, etc. By the way, Jet4212006 is right. These games surely would have been rated "M" for their excessive "violence", but the ESRB didn't exist. If you like old games and series fine- whatever floats your boat, but don't condemn games nowadays.

  • @colorblind1148 who is this in response to? Me?

  • I sat and read the credits just so i could hear this final sound track of the game. And despite being glad I'd beaten evil and fulfilled the belmont legacy.. I was sad because I knew it was over and there wouldn't be another adventure like this anytime soon. So I sat and enjoyed the tune, rethinking all the levels as the screens appeared and reminisced a little each frame. Then I waved goodbye to dracula as I knew it'd be the last time we'd see each other for many years.

  • @TheGeoDemon I like how your mind attached itself emotionally to this game. You have a very good point there my friend.

  • Also about rated M games dominating the sales (FPS or not) its always been like that. If there was a rating system back them some of them if not censored would have been rated M

  • I'm not saying that FPS are terrible (some are really good) but they are way overrated. Today's age of video games seems to be Rated-M FPS.

But soon there will be another fad that comes along, there always something that dominates the sales for a while.

First it was arcade, platformers, RPG, 3D games, now FPS. It may have overstayed its welcome but soon something new will come.

  • beating this game, left me with one of the most incredible feelings of my life.

  • This song makes me feel like I just overcame a giant task, I lay in my bed, Let my aching bones heel, I rest up, and think back on what I just did. In this case, beating Super Castlevania IV. Long Live Castlevania,Konami, and Old school Gamers. I'm a 14 year old saying this lol

  • I use to love beating this game back in the day just to hear the ending music. Still one of the best soundtracks for any video game.

  • I FUCKING LOVE KONAMI!

  • *comments. Excuse me :P

  • This song was in my head tomorrow and today while I was working, I had to hear it.

  • Freakin' amazing.

  • ahh nostalgia......

  • Even if it's a old game with low graphics compared to new video games, this game (masterpiece!) is better than a lot of recent game, why? Because it has good music and control, but the best thing is: How you feel when playing the game. Remember the first silent hill, resident evil and even metal gear solid on PSX and ask yourself why they kick ass =)

  • @DarkOrderSolDjango I wish I could favorite cmments :(

  • @DarkOrderSolDjango actually all the MGS games have kept their feeling over the years but i see your point :)

  • Fun fact for ya.Konami also helped create yu gi oh

  • im walking to this at graduation

  • Once you beat the game, in the wi hours of the morning, and watch dracula's castle crumble, you reflect on all that time you just spent. -AVGN

  • oh forgot...SNES games used to be $60 when they came out but when this came out it was like $75-80...i bought it at a Toys R Us in Florida.

was that price the same for everyone around the country?

  • @GetDead151 I bought mine for $60 at some mall in wisconsin.

  • wow, took out my NES earlier tonight but now im taking out my SNES...besides the best whip in any game it has the best music.

  • omg i am so sad that i hear again this song,i used to play this with my dad when i was little i dont even remember how many years past since then, now i am 21 :P

  • Instant classic! One of my favorite games of all time!

  • Simon Belmont is the chuck noris of video games.

  • @TrueOmegamanX dude totally!!!!!

  • Ducktales moon

  • The crescendo, build up, DAT synth, and the switch-up in the middle. This track is infintely better then most of the stuff current gen consoles crap out.

  • I tear up everytime I listen to this song, I don't know why.... >_>

  • simon belmont

  • my teachers at my school made a video for me. they used this song because 1 out of all the many teachers realized this would bring a sense of completion to my year in 8th grade, even though i get a a's, they said i was their best friend, and i've played this game before, but when i got home for that day, be its last of the year, i ran to the top of a little hill near the driveway and waved good bye to all my friends while still having this song in my head going, ironically ,my name is

  • when i die and im viewing the greatest moments of my life, i want this song in the background

  • what is that ding dong at 1:32

  • @SSCode09 It's the Super Nintendo's sound chip trying to sound like a timpani.

  • I'm listening this after getting back from the bus stop on the last day of the school year.

    ... D':

  • @AfrojacX LMAO I'm listening to this because I'm going back ...

  • @IZ7UPMOUTHAF xD Hahaha

  • Complete genius. This song is a work of art. Damn, games used to be good.

  • this may very well be the best soundtrack ever in a videogame, i listen to many of them regularly, but always seem to come back to this one, and "within the giant from final fantasy 2 for SNES.

  • i might be 17 but i was born before it came out and i got ut the day it came out. and man i love it today for my snes as i did back then. its a classic in theherts of many and it will stay a classic for gamers to come. long story short its F%&$ing GREAT!!!!!!

  • i played this song when jk-34 died the empire will miss him

  • I complete my doctorate today, so to celebrate, I came here.

  • @ssallen1s Dude that's amazing!!! i am Proud that someone would refer to this song in such a moment as i would. When I Complete mine, I will see you back here, my friend!

  • @ssallen1s God bless youtube, right? :')

  • 0 dislikes for a reason here, folks. There is no way anyone could hate this music. For the technological standard of the day, this was amazing. Today, that still rings true. It captures the essence of the destruction of evil and the triumph of good, and the return of light to the world.

By far the best ending theme in the series, second maybe to "Requiem of the Nameless Souls."

I still get this song in my head whenever I see the first few rays of dawn, and the sunrise that follows.

  • @AdamBlackthorne Someone disliked this.

  • @jesus77755 Just a few hours ago, My bet: it was Dracula!

  • @jesus77755 It was Dracula, he hated getting killed AGAIN by a Belmont.

  • @ZeroShadowKnight4 yea . Kicking dracula ass is full-time job in belmont family .

  • beautiful ending, almost makes me cry!!!!!

  • This is castlevania....the real castlevania.'There are so many variables in the new games. In castlevania 4,It was you and the game.you didnt rely on tricks,it was a test of your mind and reflexes, and the only way to beat it was with your own skill, and to me,thats what castlevania is all about. And when you o beat it,in the wee hours of the mourning, you reflect on all the time you just spent in there. And thats what the Castlevania games are to me...Memories that will last forever:

    AVGN.

  • If Castlevania ever made a movie, I imagine simon infront of dracula's crumbled castle, walking back home

  • I have tears coming down my eyes, it's that deep to me. This music... OuQ

  • This is the actual SNES Track? this shit sounds Phenominal!!! I alway love the first stage theme.

  • This should have played in 05 when the 360 was released. It's the end of Castlevania 4, and also the perfect music to mark the end of the great age of gaming. Go into an EB Games or any other gaming store and look on the shelves.. count the number of M rated FPS games, and the number of shitty shovelware on the Wii. Gaming died years ago, what we have now isn't gaming anymore. I don't know what to call it, but it is not gaming.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie Gaming has changed so much since the golden age that was the late 80's to the early 21st century. Gaming will always exist, but it will never be as great as it once was and the gamers of today will never know what true gaming once was, back when being a gamer meant something. 'Least that's my opinion.

  • @DarenSankari

    Amen to that brother.

  • @DarenSankari Agreed. Totally Completely Agreed.

  • @albertiam Thank You.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie oh you card, theres plenty of good stuff out there.

  • Comment removed

  • @NemmyLadyZombie I totally agree. You look at the older series of games, you see they all have died out. Sure, they still make Zelda games that are good, they still make Metroidvanias, Megaman 9 and 10 have been released, hell they even make Final Fantasies -even though the old FANTASY ones were the best. It just isn't the same anymore...

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

(sheds tears) I can't dissagree with you there girl, but its worth to find one game that is a gem.

Sadly entertainment in most places round the world have been taken over by shitty modern crapy media from games to tv which really sucks.

We are glad to have experienced the good years when games weren't shit.

  • @xRocketzFighterx I agree, finding one game that's a gem today is worth it. But it's sad to think the times have completely reversed. Back when we were 5, it was hard finding a game that was horrifically unplayable, and easy to find amazing games. Now, its always the same shit under a different name and only slightly changed gameplay. It's sad. But try to stay strong, gaming can't stay shit forever. Someday, someone's gonna rise and be the next Miyamoto, and bring gaming back to its golden age.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

I can think of other games that aren't generic modern shooters. But its also tought to get the crowds attention on the games, take angry birds for example hilarious game that quickly spreaded its popularity, it was a Iphone exclusive plus the game came out at the right time to plus its dirt cheap to.

I have loads of ideas for a game that will deliver a great exp, most of my ideas original from Super metroid silent epic story, Rareware games and arcade coop games.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

And this comment is what I call being overly dramatic =P

I mean I'm not offending you or anything but gaming is far from dying.

Sure FPS' are over saturating the market but it's not terrible as long as over half of them are at least decent and Indie games are where it's at nowadays. Not to mention the Wii is full of retro games in the virtua console.

Also in my eyes the industry is not gaming. The player public is gaming.

  • @AlluMan96 and this comment is what I call being someone young, who didn't experience what gaming used to be like. The old ways are dying. "BOOMBOOM HEADSHOT YEEAAHHH": that's the gaming populous today. As opposed to "Oh sweet I beat the game on the hardest difficulty in 1 hour!" Gamers used to crave difficulty, story, and gameplay above all. Today, you give those morons we now call "gamers" when they should be called "posers" any washed up version of the same fucking thing and they buy it.

  • @AlluMan96 Even RPGs are dead. The only good ones now are obscure at best and get shit ratings by game reviewing sites because those people don't give a shit unless a game has guns in it, or is super bloody easya nd has good graphics.

You just don't understand where I'm coming from, so don't bother telling me I'm being over dramatic. I'm not, and plenty of others here probably agree with me.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

(In case you didn't get my personal message)

*Insert darkwing duck NES ending theme here*

Okay sorry for judgeing a bit rudely. I didn't think of that mabye this subject isn't about fact. I still belive that gaming is not about the mainstream but I'm not gonna force you toagree with me.

Also about gaming being dead, don't sweat it. Gaming evolves. This year with poor FPS' games like Sonic gens and Rayman origins prove that old schools still around. It's not gonna stay this way.

  • @NemmyLadyZombie Yea....you're partially right...though, there are some pretty great games that are under-rated out there...:Rune:Viking Warlord (on my channel, I'm making a walthrough), Bioshock, and some other games that I can't think of...

(I grew up in the 90, if you wonder, with video games at pretty early age, I might say.)

  • @NemmyLadyZombie well, some companys are trying to return to their old school way to make games like sonic generations that combined classic gameplay with the modern games, also castlevania should make a castlevania V game with julius belmont on it, but it must be a platforming, not a metroidvania, cuz the castlevania that i know and the real ones are the classics ones

  • @NemmyLadyZombie

Amen! At least the gamers of our generation who are able to become a game designer have a chance to bring the old gaming back.

That's at least what I try to do.

  • Just played this through for the first time... from 12 at night until 5 am, the last 2 hours being pure frustration at how hard the final stages of the castle were... and then this beautiful song.

  • I just beat this game and it became my absolute favorite Castlevania game after killing Dracula with the epic Simon's theme in the background. And then this song came on with previous moments in the game. It suddenly became my most favorite game of all time.

  • @zonikculture lol me too, everytime

  • "...And that's what Castlevania games are for me, Memories that will last forever..."

    ~ Avgn

  • @anewProblem I dislike the AVGN, however this words could no be truer.

  • Worthy of Peter Cushing himself! Saying an Our Father or hail Mary in thanksgiving at the end...

  • I cry when I hear this theme, because it's so triumphant and beautiful. There are very few game themes that do that, and happily, this is one of them. The credits show clips of the game you just played too, and it shows you how far you've come, and this music captures it perfectly. You feel like you've actually achieved something wonderful.

  • call me a nerd if you will, but i want this played at my funeral

  • @specialstagepro You're a hardcore nerd and that is awesome.

  • memories of other games just a masterpiece just wish the music would last alot longer u know

  • did they save the best for last? yes

  • Well, I guess my friend assumed correctly about where this tune came from. I'll have to thank him later. :)

  • I just beat this game and listened to this for about 5 minutes, then decided to youtube it thinking if it was even on the site it'd only have about 500 views making me one of the weird one for liking this song. Turns out it almost has 100 times more views then I thought. So this song is amazing as I though it was.

  • shame that the music used for games has changed, now its just some fast passed crap thats been created in less than 5 minutes. The music sets the scene for the game and the emotion you are meant to be feeling at the time, I bet the people who created this music understood every aspect of the game and you can tell. well done

  • 0 dislikes, wow, Best music ever.

  • I'm coming clean.....I borrowed this game from a friend from high school 8 years ago and I still have the game.........and he's never getting it back......haha

  • I use to play and let the end credits run for 20 minutes.......

  • This song and super castlevania 4 in itself perfectly sum up retro gaming in general, an influence that will never be forgotten.

  • This brings me so mutch memories sitting near my Super Nintendo in 95's, and completing this game at midnight, And.. I heard this song...

  • This is Soooooo freaking awesome....! Masterpiece

  • This ending theme is even better than the ending theme to Super Mario 64.

Super Mario 64's ending theme gave me chills

This one is giving me chills and it makes me want to cry.

  • Worthy of Peter Cushing himself! Simply amazing!

  • this is the type of music that i want in my funeral when i die....

  • 0:55 - 1:15

I can picture this bit playing while someone says something like: "Courage... wisdom... strength"

  • Your Winner!

  • After completing this game for the very first time I found myself transfixed by what I was hearing. This is without a doubt one of the most moving pieces of music I have ever heard from any video game. Super Castlevania IV is truly one of a kind and will absolutely never be surpassed. God I love this game!!

  • Its very convinient that the castle always decides to wait until Simon leaves before collapsing lol

  • This is such a wonderful song to hear, like the game is telling you: "Yeah, it was a long and hard journey, but congratulations! It's over now. You did it!"

  • @SpaceScreaminJohn

actually to me, this songs says "thank you, your time spent wasn't for naught, congratulations, you have freed us all. You are a hero"

  • One of the best track from Castlevania games. Sadly, I haven't yet played these old ones. Well, don't want to play Castlevania 1-3 games, but for this game (CV4) I should give a chance, right? :)

  • @ZnakeBiteX

    Ok here's my opinion

    1 = classic

    2 = worth missing

3 = HARD GAME but still pretty fun

4 = best castlevania game in exsistance

  • Exceptional.

  • I just wanna say. I love all you guys. So, so much.

    no homo

  • Yes, life's track

  • i miss when people could say "vampires are cool" without being laughed at.

    F*CK YOU TWILIGHT

  • @mweepinator Agreed. With every fiber of my being.

  • @mweepinator vampires are cool, Twilight just sucks.

  • @Lottech96 that's true. hopefully lords of shadow will knock some sense into people who don't know what a real vampire is

  • ... Enorme =) ...

  • This should be played at AVGN's funeral.

  • @electricmastro rofl!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @electricmastro Nice.

  • i fall asleep to this

  • Man tear.

  • this game series is legendary (till Castlevania 64 came out) and will never be forgotten, other legendary games with intense gameplay and nostalgic tracks like castlevania are Mario, Sonic, Ninja Gaiden, Super Probotector, Mega man and Street Fighter 2

  • Great!!! Thankyou for uploading. This song gives you a sense of relief, because you can rest now since you beat the game, but it also makes you sad because you adventure is over, and those clips make you remember all of the fun, challenge, and memories that you had on your epic quest.

  • Awesome music to a classic game. I remember being stoked that you could now whip diagonally! Such a revolution from the old NES jump-and-whip technique you had to do. It was fun hanging your whip off a platform too and letting enemies run into it. = ) And epic jumps with downward-diagonal shots!

  • @skitch76cd isnt this the only 2d one in which your diagonal whip?

  • @scureton07 That could be. I haven't played them all. In fact, this may have been the last one I played, because the next ones were for PlayStation or DS, two systems I never had. Looking at Wikipedia, I guess there was one for N64 but for some reason, I never picked it up.

  • I beat this today! i wished i grew up in the nes and snes days when life was way more simpler

  • I remember this one; I like this track :)

  • Why hasn't there been a Castlevania movie yet? The score would already be written...And I must insist that they use new faces, I refuse to watch Leo DiCaprio as any Belmont.

  • D: i had this for snes T^T AND I LOVED IT WHEN I BEATED IT

  • Some of these songs are at par with likes of Vangelis, just needs to be orchestrated

  • this better be playing at the end of my life

  • This music is a trip down memory lane straight away. So wonderfull, so original and so in tune with the game.

  • I cried when i was a kid, because i wanted this game never had an end!!!!

  • @zudikas8 When I heard this song,I waited to replay it on harder difficulty...several times.Best fucking Castlevania evar.

  • i'd love to hear an orchestra play this song. it's so amazing.

  • The AVGN got me hooked on Super Castlevania IV's soundtrack. Only problem is, I can't find MP3s of these songs anywhere! Little help please?

  • search for "galbadia hotel" on google.

Oh and don't forget that the game is called "akumajo dracula something" in japan.

  • Thanks! I found it under "Akumajo Dracula Best II Perfect Selection", tracks 101-128.

  • I just beat this game today for the first time. Never had a SNES when I was a kid, man did I ever miss out!

  • @MieleProductions Yes you did miss out!. I was lucky enough 2be a kid when all the clasic SNES games came out with the best music of all time. Games like FF2, F-Zero, PilotWings, SimCity, and Zelda. Nothing beats this game a true work of art.

  • this song is so beautiful it makes me want to cry, because it makes me think back of how us 1990s folks had great nick shows from doug to hey arnold and from snes games from top gear to super castlevania, we've had a really great run 1990s folks

  • @Vesphuong and the music was better in 90s.. no hip hop,rap n shit

  • @CssHDmonster LOL there was hiphop and rap in the 90's

  • @Jeffrizel1986 but not as repeating and QQing as today

  • Trop de nostalgie d'un coup, MAGNIFIQUE!

  • This has stuck with me for pretty much my whole life. It's one of my favorite pieces of music ever. I wish I could hear an entire symphony orchestra do it. So powerful and beautiful. 1:49. Best 3 notes ever.

  • This ending theme is one of those that has remained with me since my days a kid. I stayed up all night trying to beat this, and when the credit began to roll, the sun dawned. that was one of the best gaming moments in my life.

  • absolutely beautiful

  • It gives a sense of calm satisfaction.

As I walked away from the ruins, I looked back to see the sun rise over them. I had played my part flawlessly, and now I must play my next great part: continuing my legacy, so that there will always be a Belmont to conquer evil.

They say he rises but once a century. At least that way, I can rest safe in the knowledge that he won't be back too soon...

  • the song is incredible the feeling is great i love this game

    from mexico

  • I do enjoy this. I've been listening to this playlist for the last few days. It's an incredible soundtrack.

  • wow i rember beating this game when i was young...
