One beleaguered with really unhealthy, unathletic dogs bred by irresponsible breeders. Done right the American Bully is an amazing and impressive breed. i have a 17 year old stud, heavy on the topside in Heinzl/Corvino, pure Clouse on the bottom. i like this dog alot. funny thing about folks running heavy heinzl blood is that they really like their dogs and the other folks who keep em. they dont tend to be assholes like the llittle gator/ chinaman type crowd. its good to see people preserving this line.

Heinzl had some beautiful dogs. It is hard to find that kind of breeding anymore. I don't care for the freaks of nature a lot of folks are breeding now. Too big and muscle bound to do anything but eat a lot of chow. We are going to lose the original breed in a few generations.

Reverend Heinzl was my uncle...and a wonderful person. Back in the day it was a different world. He loved all of his animals. He cannot be compared to people in this sport now.

I don't personally agree with dog fighting but certainly understand that Tempe was a different place back then as was the whole country so it is impossible to judge those who came before us. Either way Uncle Howard loved his dogs and bread the great ones and he is someone I will always remember and only wish i could have met.
