  • Do tarantula hawks even live in Australlia?

  • @GreatBlueShark36 I'm not 100% sure where they can be found but i'm sure thats what it was in the video. Just like there are many different Species of Wolf Spiders which are all located in different areas of the Globe , it wouldn't surprise me that Australia would have their own Species of Tarrantula Hawks. I've seen some that had purple wings and others that had red wings as well which confirms that there are at least 2 different species of them. Probably alot more though.

  • what you reffered to as a big flying insect was a species of wasp called a Tarrantula hawk . They parralyze big spiders and lay eggs on them. Then , when the babies are born they feed on the spider's corpse.

The spider in this video was probably a wolf spider but it's impossible to tell for sure because of the low quality of the camera.

  • @Krawll02 Wow, thanks for the info. Interesting.

  • Was a 5 megapixel N95, the best vid cam a phone had back then. Whatareyagonnado? I have an iPhone 3GS now.

  • Hope you bought a better camera phone since then because this one sucks.
