i've long thought about doing something like this, but i never would've guessed there are so many steps. i have great respect for this company: someone had the idea, put together the science, got funding, secured facility space, assembled the machinery and a team of people, lined-up suppliers and customers and (of course) worked-out the kinks. really great work, i hope it works out for you guys!
How hard is it to get your feedstock and what's the logistics behind getting it? (Or would you need a plant like this in every state, or every other to make it work?)
BS. Why not show us the part that's the most important are the testing to see that these recycles are 100% clean and safe? Why is that part being left out or do they even test the final materials?
Actually the process of recycling PET is an 84% savings in energy compared to the process of creating virgin materials while green house gas emissions is reduced 71% when recycled. This data is from an LCI study NAPCOR conducted in April 2010.
@Placoncorp I stand corrected. Someone posted this link on Reddit.com as an example of how inefficient and expensive recycling is. I should have known better. Reddit is an intelligent community, but it lacks wisdom, and the community tends to react emotionally to statements made without any real evidence. Thank you.
Where does all the waste water go?

@asia911 I'd bet recycled plastic is "cleaner" than the food product placed in it. Fruit drinks all contain ground up bugs and dirt, yum yum!

Holy smokes - It looks like the energy required to recycle plastic would exceed the cost of manufacture.
