  • i remember my mother playing all this music when i was a little boy. who am i to talk though i was born in 1992. but from what i remember most of the 90's since i was 4 years old, all these great tracks and dont forget stevieb and lil suzy! only downfall of listening to this music, it makes me sad that the 90's and 80's are a thing of the past. if only we had a time machine and we could go back. when i seeclip movies and family photos and videos of the 80's i wish i could be bornagain 80's90's!

  • wow this song was the very first song that i dance to in a talent show back in tha days those were good times, you can't replace or compare it.

  • @positvevibes007 I was in Miami listening to BJ105 hot mixes but the song was already in prowress and never knew who sang it, fast forward 2011 November 28 and I finally found out at last who's song this is. It took me long enough you think? It brought me a cascade of good memories. Now the "LINEAR" time line it's all screw up and we are on the brink of all kinds of uncertainties. Hopefuly we'll come out ok. What I've found out will make anybody shake to the core. PEACE !!

  • MMA Most Wanted - That's a great song! Thanks for posting it!

  • GOOD OLD MEMORIES!!

  • Wow, this song makes me feel sad. I was too young to enjoy this song with friends when it first came out. I went crazy with this song, I was about 11yr old(?) but I remember feeling a sense of intense "maturing". I wanted to be a teenager and partying with this song. Sigh. Now, I'm 36 and still get that intense feeling. Damnit I'm partying on my next Friday "4 sho!" Thanks so much for posting this!

  • the 80s were without doubt the best years for all music......growing up with freestyle ,soul/,funk and electro were the daze.....:)

  • @bronxboy129 Do you mean Heartthrobs in Huntington? Over by Images?

  • @intothevoid1 NAH HEARTHROBS IN 26TH ST BET 11TH AND 10TH AVE NYC! WITH LITTLE LOUI VEGA BEHIND THE TABLES! FORMER FUNHOUSE WHERE JELLY BEAN BENITEZ SPUN!

  • this song is fuccin sicc!!

  • If freestyle had reached mainstream it would not have been a reflection of the music as we know it...... It would have been tinkered, changed, for the sake of pop radio across the country. So, it's not that it wasn't noticed, it was just never pushed up to pop radio, but pop radio already had various formats of dance music and really didn't need freestyle.

  • Oh and cant forget TRINERE !!!!! Shit !!!!

  • Then San Jose took Freestyle Music and gave it its own unique touch as did Miami with artists like Nice N Wild and Connie ... man this is taking me back...LOL

  • However, those groups were the POPULAR artists and the much better deeper rooted artists were underground.. Hence, C-Bank, April, Judy Torres and Latin Rascals

  • Hi-Nrg is Disco... Like Tapps, Lime and Divine, etc... Hi N Rg was really big in the Latino community in East LA and the SGV... Made its way North to parties and clubs alike in San Jo and Sacramento... However, very small in comparison to the LA scene... Freestyle was more like Expose, Cover Girls and Sweet Sensations that helped pave the way west...

  • I agree.... This is and always will be Freestyle Music and I'm from Cali !!! Big ups to the cool ass peeps in NYC for giving birth to the very best in club music world wide !! I been to Brooklyn and The Bronx ... Oh, I know !!!!!

  • The one dislike here is obviously a person who was droped at birth!

  • Hell yeah! Cruisin Studio n Santa Clara St. all da way to Carl's Jr. on Tully Rd.. Mini Trucks and Hair Bears!

  • @ogjpx or carrow's

  • studio 47 in San Jose, CA was the best club in the Bay to go and dance all night to HI Energy music which it was called in the 80's no Freestyle. Those were the best nights of mylife

  • @xxxbigdaddy69 This was always called freestyle music, i have had all of these records since 1986. This comes from New York so by the time it got to your region, people called it something else because they didn't know what they were listening to. Thats why Freestyle never got the recodnition it deserved and it was often confused with Teckno and Trans-teckno but you should research this on the computer, google freestyle music and i promise that you won't see the word high energy mentioned at all

  • what??? cmon true freestyle fans know this song is one of the best ever! chillin in the clubs listening to this are memories forever! nyc represent!!! home of freestyle baby!!

  • OMG this brings me to tears...good tears I guess...man, what 1986? I was a "pup" working in a club in NY and LOVED this song back then....would do anything to go back to these times OMG....

  • @Oldiesbuff925 I'm with you. The Nestalgia kills me and will haunt me until freestyle comes back or i die which ever comes first!
