this is so crazy! i have a neck and chest that is very light but shoulders and arms that are very dark... (Filipino). and so even my inner wrist is darker than my chest and my makeup always looks either too dark or too light...it saddens me :(
@jlair well different ppl have different preferences in makeup! some like dita prefer pale/paler others like that deep dark bronzey look! hope you find someething ur happy with and suits you
my chest is ridiculousy tan compared to my face simply because i use spf on my face daily (which is a good idea for anyone) when i say ridiculously darker I mean ALOT darker.. if I were to buy a foudation that matched my chest my face would look entirely cakey and fake.. so whats a girl to do in this situation?

@Anaxunamunn Mix your own shade. sometimes it takes finding a white foundation and mixing it in with something that has a tone similar to yours and mixing till you get it right

OMG I am one of those women whos face is darker than the rest of my body but it's because I am lighter than NW15 and it's SOOOO hard to find a shade light enough with out looking ashy and grey and after watching some of your foundation videos I think I'm actually NC instead !! although my face is pink/reddish my neck and chest is more yellow..

i am south asian and i am naturally light brown skin. but i used to play sports and i got tanner mostly darker on my face and gradually fades from the neck to the chest. and my face is like 2 shades darker than my natural skin color. wouldn't that be cakey if i apply the same shade of my chest onto my face? i'm afraid i'll look like a ghost :/

Hi! Love your vids. Can you help - I used to have oily skin but over the past 2 years it's suddenly become dry. I've tried a lot of moisturisers, but in the end my liquid foundation (sheer coverage, shiseido) looks pancaky. i believe what Goss is saying is that for you girls who show of your decollate (chest / clavicle) then please match your face foundation to the color of your chest. For you girls who cover up and don't show any chest; continue your normal routine.

How do you make your chest lighter? My face is 1-2 shades darker than my face.. I've been using sunblock, but it tends to wear off. I don't like putting foundation on my chest b/c it makes me breakout! TIA!!
@mzxmir been here! I would apply a cooler toned foundation in the chest area that shows ....and add your favorite spf to it. I then would blend it up the neck and use a darker (only 1 shade difference) on my face and blend the two. I think if you add a bit of bronzer as well at the neck line it would help to blend the two different shades together. I hope that helps!

@ohshaa Could be the foundation your using if it's HD or not. Also, powders tend to come off as white in a flash camera. This would be a great video for Wayne to make for us! Picture perfect makeup for camera's!

I notice on Mandy she has the same problem I do.. Redness on the Top of chest.. What Do I do about that? My Face and neck are fine but My Chest is Red.. this is the most basic tip no one ever tells you! my problem is that my chest is not one color, it kinda has shades. foundations always end up in one solid color.
If my mom matched her makeup to her cjest (she used to) she'd look like ab ompa loompa cuz she's pale but used self tanner so everything else is tan... Now she uses one inbetween the 2 and wears a bit of bronzer and she looks soo mjch better

@dimplezpink i really hope he replies bc i kinda sorta have the same issue. i think the best thing to do is match your foundation to your neck. if i match to my foundation colour to my chest, i would have to blend it into my entire neck. that is just too much for me.

This is my problem. My chest is lighter than my face which is lighter than my neck. So I would have to go lighter with the foundation in order for it to match my chest but since I'm of Indian decent, the foundation ALWAYS looks grey on me or it's just obvious that it does not match. Any help?

So my chest is extremely fair but my face is way too dark for my chest to match perfectly.

ugh that's the worst part about makeup that I strongly dislike: foundation. When I take pics. my face is lighter than my neck sop obviously something's wrong.

@ohshaa Could be the foundation your using if it's HD or not. Also, powders tend to come off as white in a flash camera. This would be a great video for Wayne to make for us! Picture perfect makeup for camera's!

my chest is a very light brown , my face is a dark brown.. and light foundation just makes my face look ashy . i just match it close to my neck so that the neck makes that natural transition to my chest.

I notice on Mandy she has the same problem I do.. Redness on the Top of chest.. What Do I do about that? My Face and neck are fine but My Chest is Red.. It would take WAYYY to much Foundation to try and cover it.. .. Check out the video on How to get glowing skin with Mandy.. That is my problem.. can you tell me a Tip or Trick to fix that? thanks

this is the most basic tip no one ever tells you! my problem is that my chest is not one color, it kinda has shades. foundations always end up in one solid color.

If my mom matched her makeup to her cjest (she used to) she'd look like ab ompa loompa cuz she's pale but used self tanner so everything else is tan... Now she uses one inbetween the 2 and wears a bit of bronzer and she looks soo mjch better

@dimplezpink i really hope he replies bc i kinda sorta have the same issue. i think the best thing to do is match your foundation to your neck. if i match to my foundation colour to my chest, i would have to blend it into my entire neck. that is just too much for me.

what if you cant find a makeup light enough for your skin?
i have to use the lightest ivory shade and the makeup almost always has a orangish, yelowish finish that seems to make it darker then my chest. what should i do?

This is my problem. My chest is lighter than my face which is lighter than my neck. So I would have to go lighter with the foundation in order for it to match my chest but since I'm of Indian decent, the foundation ALWAYS looks grey on me or it's just obvious that it does not match. Any help?
