why a certified mechanic goes the harder way instead of show the easy -most- correct-more practical/economical way and just pour some coke or any drink beverage wich contains soda into the battery terminals?
he want to look more professional than us?

- Pour baking soda on the terminals
- Pour water onto the terminals
- Baking soda will bubble and wash away, as will the corosion
- No scraping needed
- Word up

Do you have to wear rubber "female" gloves to clean your battery??

well hmm... I use them when I work with solvents otherwise my hands feel burning for days. So yeah, better be safe then sorry.

hes wearing rubber gloves because hes dealing with battery terminals... wich are made of lead.A matter of health.
dont use a wire brush, just use a soft brissled toothbrush or a paintbrush and a solution of baking soda and water.

use a brush with plastic or nylon bristles with baking soda and water, a wire brush will put deep scratches in the soft lead terminals
