  • For those of u who agree with the original ad, why? what are your personal reasons not what people tell u to believe? I agree with THIS video because I believe all people who are just as in love as any straight couple should be given their right of equality and the ability to show their love and commitment with marriage. If u don't agree so what? That doesn't need to affect anyone else.

  • I'm not anti- religious, but it seems that the only arguments to same-sex marriage are religious, so as a result, the fact that same-sex marriage is not legal in all of the U.S. violates separation of church and state. In conclusion. any laws that define marriage as between a man and a woman are illegal.

  • There is a bullshit storm gathering.

  • Morons, you can't hide between religion to practice your bigotry. I don't give a fuck what BS you believe in, but don't think your going to get away with taking away the rights of your fellow humans because of your fairy tales

  • @LadyAmaltheaUnicorn Religious fanaticism is losing it's hold on the public, gay marriages are already happening. I have read much of the Bible and I agree with you, it's fairy tales. If someone wants to believe that the god of the Bible is real (even though modern science has proven that the world wasn't made in 7 days) than that's their business; I just don't want religion being combined with law as I'm an atheist.

  • But gays are not like everybody else? So why should they be treated as such?

  • @wardawk black people aren't like white people so why should they be treated the same?

    you're an idiot.

  • @TheDESTROLYS Black people are born that way, gay is a choice. Anytime you want a go, send ur private details.

  • @wardawk HAHAHAHA

    /argument discredited

  • @TheDESTROLYS I win.

  • @wardawk

handicapped people aren't like everyone else. Every race isn't like anyone elses. The fact that everyone is different disproves your close minded statement. Just because someone is different is a horrible reason to treat someone badly. Don't bother replying -.-

  • God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve

  • @NekoSavior half right

  • This doesn't surprise me. Americans always have to be fighting against something. If they could find a way to use actual weapons of war against the gays, they probably would. Gotta keep that war machine going you know.

  • @ChipArgyle

God didn't create anything because he doesn't even exist. And even if he does and did, then why is it that there is documented, scientific and physical evidence to a time long before he supposedly created the world?

  • @GojyotheFeared Did you reply to the comment you were trying to target? Your response to me doesn't appear to have anything to do with what I said.

  • @ChipArgyle

I apologise. I meant that to be in response to NekoSavior.

  • @GojyotheFeared Phew! I was worried there for a second. I just checked what he said. Good reply to him. You could add that his god supposedly created, and as per some theists, continues to create every living thing. Although the actual "gay gene" hasn't been found yet, they are fairly sure it exists and they even believe they know approximately where it resides in the genome. Once found, it will be confirmed as part of "God's" genetic blueprint for us. Let's see them argue against that.

  • @ChipArgyle

Well, I do not know if there actually is a gay gene or not. But it is theorised that it most likely resides in a combination of genes and/or certain amounts of hormones/testosterone exposed to the fetus during certain parts of the pregnancy stages which, in my opinion, is the most likely end result.

For those that think it is a mere "choice" you can choose to dye your hair a certain color, you can choose to wear coloring contact lenses to change your eye color, you can do a

  • @GojyotheFeared I've always felt that the gene explanation seemed faulty, and the hormones in the fetal environment seemed plausible, but insufficient as the sole cause. I can't shake the feeling that sexual orientation is in part affected by environment. That's not to say that it can be prevented, or that it is bad any more than having a certain personality type is preventable or bad. I don't know what causes homosexuality, but I think we try to oversimplify it by saying "born gay".

  • @fuggimotto

You bring up a good point. Perhaps our sexual orientations are more complex and perhaps, more nurture than nature.

Still though, regardless of the nurture, there's always going to be at least that one that goes against what they were told because they wish to go their own way in life. For example the white girl who's parent(s) told them to stay away from black people because they are bad and yet seek out that one gay man she sees now and then to see for herself and more than

  • likely, cultivate a relationship as a result.

So, whether it be nature, nurture, or a combination of both or perhaps some other unknown element, there's always going to be 2 people who harbor feelings for each other regardless of their surrindings, whether it be a mixed relationship, a social/political mesh up, or 2 people of the same gender and that something can't simply be done away with or covered up by irrational and unjust laws.

To me, that's the most dispicible part about it. People

  • with one way of thinking trying to keep people with another way of thinking from sharing in the same rights they do simply because it goes against their personal preference.

That to me is something this country should never tolerate.

  • wide variety of things to alter your appearance. But in the end, it doesn't change what your true self is.

A bald man can wear a wig, but it doesn't change the fact that he is bald.

With the right amount of money and procedures, one can even change their gender. But it doesn't change the fact that they were born a certain way.

People can convince themselves to think a certain way and therefor believe they have changed, but it doesn't change the fact that they are either gay or straight.

  • These NOM people and other ignorant religious types are struggling to block the tide of Enlightenment that exposes their vile, irrational and preferred conclusions. Humanity increasingly rejects this kind of irrational judgmental religiosity. Their treatment of gay folks is just one of the issues that exposes their beliefs as false. They seem to unwittingly worship a graven image carved by fallible people for political gain but sold as divine inspiration. Their days are numbered.

  • People are born gay straight or in my case Bi-sexual if its wrong to be gay or bi-sexual and god makes no mistaes then why did he do it unless he does not hate Gays and bi-sexuals

  • I think this video could have been articulated a little better, but you obviously put effort into reading the script you had instead of just winging it. The point gets across very well, you are to be commended for fostering actual honesty and truth in the discussion.

  • I saw the original ad...what a load of bullshit

    / Straight NY supported

  • I'm sick of this, Anti-gay people give Gay People their 14th Amendment Rights, which is the Equal Rights Amendment, gay people are persons according the US Constitution too. Stop dehumanizing gay people and giving gay people subhuman status. The Nazis said that Jewish people weren't people and look what happened to the jews. The Slave Owners said that Black people weren't human. When will we stop dehumanizing and denying rights to some US Citizens.

  • The bible is not the true word of god but what people think the word of god is. Maybe god does love gay people but man thought it was wrong

  • @Chamath5 Wait, didn't I just see you posting that shit in response to another video?

  • @Chamath5 how do we know that the "independent" science institute does not have a political agenda

you have a political agenda, not the apa

  • 194 people have glass closet doors.

  • America (and other nations) need to either remove the influence of religion from government and positions of political power, or else declare themselves theocracies.

  • @111kanuni, you are the sick and disgusting person. Notice that it is spelt with a g, not with a c.

  • Some people are gay, deal the fuck with it!

  • gay and lesbians sick people. they need realy help.

  • @111kanuni no actually they arent sick

  • @mermaidsareppl222 they are sick and discusting people

  • @111kanuni no the people of NOM are the sick and disgusting people

  • You mean they lied? Wait whats that? They're Christians? Ahhh makes perfect sense now.

  • @youngbono18 I don't care what they do but you can't call it marriage. Marriage is from the bible and is defined as between and man and a women. So it's not "marriage".

  • @Drpatrick777 Actually Christian marriage was created in the catholic church 1400 years after Jesus' death. Besides which, in the Bible there's sanctioned polygamy, incest, and child sacrifice, so I don't see why your God would have any problem with homosexuality. There's a theory that the Bible's writers condemned homosexuality because it was widely practiced in Rome (which was oppressing the Jews).

  • @taranova12 I agree, I think quite a lot of the things that are condemned in the Bible are condemned because they could be seen as threats to the patriarchal nature of the society that existed when the Bible was written-i.e sex before marriage and homosexuality. I think it's time people accepted that others are different and have a right to be even if their holy books tell them that their sexual lifestyle and behaviour is wrong. Just a thought.

  • @Drpatrick777 marriage did not come from the bibel

    so dont claim it did

  • @Drpatrick777 If two people love each other and commit to each other, is that not a marriage?

  • @Drpatrick777 marriage is in fact NOT from the bible

  • lÖl_Åñy0nË_wáñÑà_chät_wìth_mÊ_Ì_fËél_sO_loñëlÿ_tõDäý→

  • The answer to the gay marriage issue is in the 10th amendment to the Constitution.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

The Constitution says nothing about gay marriage, thus it CAN be legalized, but in a STATE setting.

the federal government has no Constitutional power to either ban or legalize it nationally.

  • @youngbono18 Yes, but if you let "the people" vote on other people's civil rights, it's no longer a democracy. There's a little something called "majority rule, minority rights." Proposition 8 was in itself unconstitutional, just as letting people vote on segregation laws is unconstitutional.

  • This is the best response Ive seen so far. If only you could actors to say all this in a parody.

  • @jimmycool157

And in return; "You want to marry a lamppost? You make me sick!"

If I want to get married to another man, it has no effect on you whatsoever. I have no interest in making demands of you, and yet you are oh so determined to hate people like me simply because you are too weak to face up to reality: a more inclusive and less proscriptive society is a healthier one. And you are a gullible moron.

  • @jimmycool157 Oh do get a life......

  • @jimmycool157 LOL you're such a fucking moron. Because consensually loving another sentient being is exactly like loving a lamp post. Congratulations; you're an idiot. You've just equated a light source and a human.

  • @jimmycool157 Does the lamp post have a brain? Emotions? Sexual feelings? Regrets? Desires? Wants? Needs? Does it love? No. Your analogy is stupid.

  • @jimmycool157 HAHAHAHAHAHAAHa bless yu

you think marryin animals an inanimate objects is the same as lovin and marryin another person regardless of gender... im suprised you worked out that hitting the keyboard makes words come up on the screen

  • @jimmycool157 you make me sick by comparing the love of two consenting adults to your sick analogy of you and your lamp post

  • @TehgrateJT WOW. REALLY?! selfrighteousness is a sin. and whether you claim you have a close friend who is as you put it, practicing homosexual, you are not a true friend. are you a practicing heterosexual? ofcourse one is going to do as they were made to do. your comment is quite disturbing. marriage isnt just designed for heterosexual couples to protect their kids, its just the same for homosexual parents to protect theirs as well. what the fuck do you think gays are trying to do here?!

  • @TehgrateJT i challenge you to go to your local social services and see just how well your traditional marriages and families have gotten children. children are being abandoned, abused, killed, by their own mother and father and this is your solution and fight agst gay people who actually love and care for their kids?! i cant say anymore to you. i am thouroghly discusted with your type of people who claim they are sooo misunderstood as christians. TRUTH IS, U R A DISGRACE TO THE HUMAN COMMUNITY.

  • @TehgrateJT "It is to be bore in mind however, that marriage is designed to protect and substantiate society through our children. Period.'

Really? I guess I shouldn't be married then, because I can't physically and don't want to have children. Why is birth control and surgeries designed to prevent having children legal then, if marriage is meant for procreation. Why are people like the Duggar Family who have 19 kids ridiculed for doing just what the bible says.

  • @TehgrateJT if that last part was true

then infertle people wouldnt be allowed to marry

and having children would be a requirement

  • I love the part where you that they don't want gay marriage and homosexuality treated as normal but yet they want students to be taught that homosexuality is immoral, disgusting and even changeable.

They want their beliefs forced on the 10% gay population. What is the fairness in that, both views need to be taught and can be since Anti-gay people are not just of religion and it can be taught as a socio-cultural view, but both sides not just the anti-gay side because of a Special Rights Group.

  • I think that this is the best parody.

The other ones use comedy, and they are good,

    but you use facts.

  • I love this video. Thank you for setting the lies in this video straight (so to speak). Everything you said is true. It's all about hate with these people not the truth.

  • thank you

  • Bottom line is gay people are gay, and gay people are people. If the churches cannot respect them(and they can still disagree with them, but they should still respect them) then the churches dont deserve the same legal recognitions they receive. Why does the church think they are entitled to tax exempt status and legal sanctions, and then turn around and think they can dictate the legal sanctions of groups outside of their faith. It is soooo totally arrogant and disgusting.

  • It's official, Maggie Gallagher is now the leader of a hate group! The Southern Poverty Law Center has now classified NOM as a hate group so congratulations Maggie because now even more people see you as the hateful bitch you are!

  • Can we all just stop the gay bashing PLEASE, the whole thing has been beaten to death. There are gay people in this world, DEAL WITH IT. No one is trying to take away your rights or anything else! All anyone in the LGBT community is asking is to be left alone to live in peace with the person they love. It's not asking for special rights when you're only asking to be treated like the rest of the citizens in the USA. STOP THE HATE ALREADY!! How long are you fuckers going to drag this out?

  • your comment is a contradiction when in fact the gays are imposing their lifestyle on children and the morals on others tradition..

  • @touggie2000 Gays are not imposing their lifestyle on children or the morals of others traditions, you still have the right to teach your children whatever you want and to have your traditions.

  • @Poochalot so why is it being put in our children's school?? and this guy in the video is full of shit!! he is being bias and putting his own twist on the story. like the part about MASS parents upset about teaching gay in school. what school do you know teaches hate towards gays?? im not christian! and i dont believe most people gay bash we just dont think its right your people are using 'Civiil Right' as an excuse to push your agenda. whos hurting or killing you? you have rights in AMERICA!

  • @touggie2000 it is not being put in schools, it is just treating gays the same.

  • @FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 how are they not being treated the same??

  • @touggie2000 by not treating them the same. by teaching that families are only strait.

  • @FlyinSpaghettiMnstr7 but that their tradition their morals and belief i dont think they are saying u dont exist but they dont want their children to follow that. who are u to change that???

  • @touggie2000

Does a barn in Ohio ring a bell?

How about a man who was beaten and abused to the point of near death and left to die, which in fact, he did in a hospital after being found hours later tied to a fence post?

How about the fact that hospitals, despite the fact that the patient and not the hospital has the right to decide on who can and cannot visit them, yet the hopital seems to wish to take command of this right themselves?

    Seriously. Grow up.

  • @GojyotheFeared What the fuck are you talking about??? what hospital where u in???

  • @touggie2000

It doesn't matter which hospital. The point is is that some still deny gay couples the right to visit each other whether they are legally married or not.

Case and point the religios hospital that denied a gay couple despite having service to the public.

Hospitals are required to treat patients regardless of their abiolity to pay, but we can turn away patients because of our personal feelings about their "lifestyle"? Bullshit.

  • if marriage is the issue then thats a just it! but what does that have to do with teaching it in schools when schools dont teach gay hate? what does that have to do with putting it on tv and cartoons when we have gay actors? gays arent marginalized, gays just want everybody to accept their lifestyle! when in real life everybody is not going to like you or agree with you no matter who you are! its called LIFE! you will always have haters get over it and stop trying to push your views on us!!

  • @touggie2000 Your not worth my time, goodbye

  • @Poochalot because u cant counter my argument with out sounded like hypocrite!!

  • we have black actors but they dont have to act so called ghetto in every tv show or movie.. we have asian actors do they have to kick everybody ass in the movie NO! so if we have gay actors why do they have to make the point and kiss a man or women kissing women on award shows like wtf is the purpose??

  • @touggie2000 you're an idiot.

  • LOL at the first sentence

  • Maggie Gallagher is a lying hateful KKKunt and should be deported for spreading hate! BITCH!

  • @boogalicious, um...technicly, aren't they trying to take away mine for being gay? I'm only 14, so maybe Im too young to understand, but can someone please explain to me where in the bible does it say, a man may not fucketh another man? Please?

  • @jenn1ifer I don't get annoyed by the gays. So, maybe they just annoy people who hate equal rights?

  • @jenn1ifer the only one annoying others here is you

  • @jenn1ifer

Why do ppl like you keep standing in the way of Gays trying to live their lives the way they want too?

  • @jenn1ifer Stupid bigot.

  • Thank you, this was truly inspiring!

  • best response to a video ive seen (well the funny or die one was funnier but this was a nice slap to the face) props =]

  • The devil is winning fuck you fools

  • @dsweetreat

Hmm , if the devil is for gay marriage and God is not....

  • Yup! They want to have their cake and eat it too...

They want to lie and commit fraud while promoting how "Godly" and righteous they are...

They want to demand others support their beliefs while they abuse tax-exempt status to influence laws on others!

But don't speak about conflicted actions; it's all a bit beyond their comprehension. After all, the Marriage 'Protectors' are only able to focus so much time on what other people are doing because they're not taking care of their own shit.

  • Great Work! You actually addressed every disortion or basterdisation of the truth in this ad

  • Fantastic response! Thanks for all the info!! <3

  • extremely well said. Awesome video. =)

  • being gay is changeable... if you're bisexual

  • Finally someone says it

  • My freedom is being taken away, I should be the one to choose what my children learn until they can choose for themselves. Same sex relations are sins that are %100 against the One who created all of us, and I don't hate anyone, only the sin they commit. Nothing we stand for is a lie, if we can't have freedom either then why is it okay for you.

  • @boogalingous your freedom to brainwash your children?

what freedom is being taken away exactly?

  • Boogalingous, God is the one who creates gays in the first place, so you are accusing Him of sin. Those of us who love and trust His wisdom accept that there's no "sin" in accepting yourself as gay, since it's the way God wanted you to be in the first place. Why would you NOT want to teach your children to accept the Lord's will?

  • @MattFrame well im not sure quite how exactly to respond to you, because you appear to be a sensible christian... oxymoron i know, but... yea... well anyways i think what other people of your kind... (christians) actually dont believe that "god" (actually he doesnt really exist) created gays to be gay, but that gays choose to be gay (as if that makes any sense, why would you choose the life of a gay?) um yea.. you arent christian are you? cuz it kindabugs me that u are for gays but christian...

  • LOL, pyromaniac4290, believe me, there ARE sensible, rational Christians out there, but the problem is, the fanatics from any religious community tend to get all the attention, thanks to their constant screaming, hate-mongering, and gratuitous aggression. That they even try to assert homosexuality is a choice proves how deluded and irrational they are.

  • @MattFrame i can live with that response. well put.

  • Thank you, Pyromaniac4290. :)

  • @boogalingous "My freedom is being taken away, I should be the one to choose what my children learn until they can choose for themselves."

What freedom of yours is being taken away exactly? Legalizing gay marriage isn't going to make Christianity illegal. You'll still be able to go to your church and pray. You'll still be able to raise your views. The only freedom that you will lose is one you never had in the first place and that is to legally tell gay people they can't marry each other.

  • @boogalingous, "I should be the one to choose what my children learn until they can choose for themselves. "

You still have the right to brainwash and indoctrinate your children at home. It's your job as a parent to teach your kids the values that you have and all parents should do this. You shouldn't just leave it up to schools to teach your kids values.

However, according to the constitution, you do not have a right to have schools teach gay children that they way they feel is wrong.

  • @bsgoalie101 why? because i speak the truth?

  • @bsgoalie101 the bible is a joke

  • How does my marriage or my husband affect yours?? If i go to hell then thats MY problem not YOURS. So focus on your own life and stay the hell out of mine. You wont change me so leave me the fuck alone. I just want to grow up and marry the love of my life. :'( but no.. that somehow hurts YOU.

  • @JossickHouse Excuse me

"Just because they advocate gay marriage does not mean they have to totally agree with being gay. I mean we no longer have laws banning inter-racial couples do we?

    "

There is nothing shameful to be alluded at in either.

What are you trying to say?

  • @osummuso

I think what Jossick is trying to say is that we let people of different races and even different religions marry each other, so why do we prohibit gays from marrying?

  • there're are no words hatefull enough that can describe my feelings against these assholes..

    Freedom for everyfuckin'one! ;D

  • @bsgoalie101 So? You mean that sinners can not get married? Fuck, so if you lie, kill, don't worship the old testament god, or disrespect an elder you can't get married? So the only person that can get married is Jesus...... but he has no one to marry, he can't marry himself, that would be gay and a sin!

  • good job!

  • Honest question here, why do gay people want to get married? What I mean is marriage is traditionally a religious ceremony, many religions hate gays, so why do you want to be part of it? Im all for equal rights but I dont get why anyone would want to be part of a group that hates them. Is marriage the only way to secure certain rights? Please dont blast me just trying to get some understanding. BTW I am atheist, straight and in a loving defacto relationship

  • @pinkflubb

Do you not understand how legal marriage works? Getting married in a church doesn't get you recognized by the state. In fact, no religious ceremony has any legal standing. You have to go to city hall and fill out paperwork. Over a thousand legal benefits are attached to legal marriage. In most states, a gay couple cannot go to city hall and get legally married. This has nothing to do with the church, despite what the church may tell you.

  • they dont have to get married in a church or have anything to do with religion. XD (im lez) also, whats so wrong with it? NO UNWANTED KIDS. and population control.

  • @pinkflubb There are 1,138 federal rights and privileges afforded by the act of marriage. Immigration, taxes, hospital visitation, and adoption are all affected by marriage. There is also the joy of celebrating with friends and family, of having an anniversary, of knowing that our rights are recognized and secured by law.

  • very true, good job

  • @LightningEnergy

There's no word in Aramaic for "homosexual" and when the NT was written in Greek, the word the writer used had a number of meanings and connotations. Did the translators get it right? Or was Paul not specific enough? Or did Paul even say any of those things? Remember two things:

    1) Paul was wise, but only a man.

    2) The letters of Paul were written up to 80 years after his death.

I also don't see people waving anti-fornication signs around all that often.

  • NOM spouts nothing but cowardly fascism

  • You're quoting the story of Sodom... The same story in which Lot's daughters got their father drunk and seduced him, thus commiting incest? So homosexuality is immoral but incest is okay? (Cue back-peddling story and more yarn from your book or fairytales).

Do you celebrate Christmas and Easter correct? These would happen to be around he same times as pagan rituals, that was Christianity indoctrinating others. Religion is nothing more than ruling by fear to keep you in line, nothing more!

  • i disagree wit this video. i like the regular one the one against gays

  • @singlegirl71 I guess you as a women actually think you're equal to me a man, I don't think so... No women is equal to me a man, you must walk two steps behind me and my fellow men...

Or do you think that we should give you equal rights?

  • who are you to say that im not equal to you just because your a man .....women and men are equal what makes you think we have to walk two steps behind you...women do just as mush as men....by saying that you sound sexist let me guess your gay

  • pegasus was making a relevant parallel, singlegirl. Too bad you completely missed it.

  • i didnt miss it... but im still equal i myself use to be gay therefore i am equal just because i changed doesnt make me unequal.....i know how it feels to be gay in a world when no one else is and all they do is pick and pick but i am a christian n its wrong to be gay God is against it so therefore i must be obedient ...not that im judging cuz im not im just not up for the gay thing God made man and women not man and man srry if you dont like it but its me and my faith

  • Yes, it's you and your faith. Meaning keep it to yourself. I'm a Christian as well, but that doesn't mean I get to tell others how to live.

  • i never told anyone how to live by me saying its wrong doesnt mean im saying your should change and mr. christian the bible does say its wrong n it also says to share your faith when you are given the chance

  • "The Bible does say its wrong."

Yeah, the parts that were written and spoken by men. I don't recall Jesus speaking against it. If it were such a big deal, He would have been clear. You're young; please don't let your parents or mentors convince you of anything. Let Jesus guide you through your heart.

Yes, share your faith...in love. That was the message of Jesus.

  • gen: 19:5 and 19:24-28

sodom and Gomorrah the bible is very clear...im glad that your concern but it is in love i dont mean to bring a message for hate but once someone hears something they dont like they think the person is judging them when really its just Gods judgment through a messenger..instead of accepting the word they reject it

  • The Bible is anything but clear on Sodom and Gomorrah. Read Ezekiel 16. Rape and overt arrogance were the primary reasons for destruction. If you're going to quote Genesis, I expect to hear a Leviticus quote as well, in which case you'd have to support stoning of eaters of shellfish, wearers of polyester, and disobedient children. The Old Testament as a whole is a vengeful, violent account of the world before Jesus. Listen to His words, not the words of men.

  • new living translation-Genesis 19: 4-5

But before they retired for the night, all of the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to Lot "where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out so we can have sex with them.

and if you want more scriptures then try Romans 1 24-25.....thats not the only reason and im not telling you how to live you live w/e way you want to thats your choice

  • New Living Translation? Are you joking? That's a hacked-off, Americanized translation of text that was never meant to be put into English in the first place. There are countless mistranslations and lack of distinctions. I'm really wondering who put these thoughts in your head.

  • i also have the NKJV study bible and it says the same things so what is to be said on that one

  • It does not say the same things. Not even close. Do you speak fluent Aramaic? Or Greek? Have you read the original texts? If not, then you really have no idea what it says. There's no word in Hebrew for "homosexual" or even "religion," so whenever either of those words appears, it's likely a mistranslation.

Also "come out so we can have sex with them" likely means "come out so we can rape them" which IS an abomination.

  • wow how stupid can people be? first of all, there is no god. no evidence exists to prove his existence. second, being gay is GENETIC AND NOT A CHOICE!!! u cant force yourself to love somebody u just do. and if u think u r "cured" of homosexuality, ur actually just hiding your true identity and resenting ur natural feelings which can be very damaging to ur mental health. in short, u and all of christianity is full of shit

  • It is not genetic that is the biggest lie ever told..its not proven but they are tring to prove it but thay cant because its nothing but a lie and that is the job of someone you problem think is fake..... im healthy and im living perfectly fine and not gay anymore....anything is possble with God

  • There's no gay gene, correct.

    There's also no straight gene.

Thus, sexual orientation is a biological attribute that is determined by things other than genes during formation of the fetus. National Geographic actually did a special on the biology of homosexuality, and they're not exactly known for being wrong or poorly informed. Also see studies done by the APA, AMA, and a Swedish lab.

  • ok it may not be genetic but that doesnt mean its unnatural or wrong. homosexuality does absolutely no harm at all to any living being. just accept yourself for who u are, dont let the brainwashing methods of christian rhetoric destroy your identity. embrace your feelings, know that it is normal to be gay. i do not think it is possible to change ur sexual orientation, deep down u r just denying what u really r, a lesbian. be proud and do not feel ashamed for something natural

  • singlegirl,

I'll say this to hopefully help out everyone. If you are as young as you say, you are going through a very confusing time in your life right now whether you believe it or not. Whatever you do, don't let any other person convince you of who you are, whether it's people who insist you're gay or people who say being gay is wrong. Nobody has that right except you. You're in control. Remember, Jesus is the rock. Not Moses, or Paul, or any of the Bible's authors. Jesus.

  • if your saying to only folllow jesus then you must follow the whole bible because jesus says that the bible is the word of God and the word says its wrong I'm young not stupid

  • Jesus could never have said that the Bible is the word of God because the Bible did not exist until 300 years after his death. He said "it is written" many times, but rarely specified exactly where "it" was written.

  • his exact word wasnt the bible you should read revulation its in that book

  • @singlegirl71

Revelation is basically an acid trip for John and some guy wrote down what he may or may not have seen. Sorry, the Bible still wasn't even thought of at the time of Revelation and the word "scripture" refers to old documents kept in the temple written by old dudes. None of them made it into the Bible.

  • no he says scriptures and never said they called it the bible back then but nethier the less jesus says it...you have to have faith just like you have faith to just believe wat jesus says

  • @singlegirl71

I'm sorry, the word "scripture" could not have referred to anything in the Bible because most of the books in the Bible WERE NOT YET WRITTEN. None of the events in the Bible were written at the time they happened. They were all records told by word of mouth many years later. The word "scripture" referred to writings by ancient priests and none of those writings made it into the Bible.

However, believing the words of a man without sin who died for us is quite foolproof.

  • @singlegirl71

Honestly, you can't even spell your bible terms right. It's "revelations" not "revulation"

I am going to assume you are both young and stupid, as you don't even know anything about what you're trying to preach.

  • @TheZooCrew He is refering to the old testiment, the book of his people the Jews, who do not believe he was the son of god. It was written before he was born, that however doesn't make it right.

  • @SpittD

Eh, the Old Testament was still in fragments during his time. The Bible was not canonized at all until Emperor Constantine did so 300 years later through a vote at the Council of Nicaea. Jesus refers to "it is written" but it's likely most of those "writings" were not even considered for the Bible.

  • @TheZooCrew You are half right, but the Jewish people did have a book, that book later became the Old Testament, All these writting may not have been in one book, but they were there. In truth it was a generational game of telephone for several decades before the New Books talked of Jesus and for that reason we can discount most of what Jesus "said" The NC would decide ultimatly what fit there purposes almost 300 years AD.

  • @SpittD Their+there, I'm rather tired today, so forgive the errors plz. Oh and ZooCrew, I am not trying to disagree, I am an Atheist myself, just prefer that facts are factual to the best of our knowledge as religion loves to play on our tinyest mistakes.

  • @SpittD

I understand you're not trying to disagree and I appreciate your points, however I do believe the words of Jesus (at least the themes) are far more credible than the rest of the Bible because four different accounts carry the same themes, if not the same words.

  • @TheZooCrew Perhaps, but again if you ever play telephone in school, you can not get one sentance to come back right when passed by 20 kids, imagine 30 years of word of mouth followed by 250+ years of copying and poor translation from a language that had 1 word for 4 different things tonother that had 1 word for 4 different things to another, then you put a council in charge of deciding what is true. By then the entire book could be false.
