i agree with connecticutsBest to an extent. I think synth is garbage compared to live instrumentation but i guess things evolve and i respect it for what it is. But Maxwell demonstrated on his new album for all of us music lovers that instrumentation still wins. Coming from me though, a lead guitarist, i respect "real" musicianship. Even lil wayne, the hottest rapper rapper now, is evolving to a more instrumental type feel.
