  • no use -.- i cant learn this because its in english

  • Are the tuition videos still available?

  • Holy shit thank you for this lesson

  • GROW A BEARD AGAIN!

  • Thankyou soooo much chappers i learnt a damn lot from that! :-)

  • so this is probably been asked, whats in your package to the left there? :]

  • Thank you - I'm having an awakening moment. I know enough to be dangerous and you are filling in the gaps.

    Thanks,

    Jon

  • Dude...........You don't know how many times i've tried to learn theory, and all the money I've wasted *FROWN* Your chord scale lesson was SOOOOOOOOO helpful, and I've been "playing" for awhile, so mad props on that Mr. Chappers! Your so random at times and not dead always dead serious which makes you (atleast in my opinion) a GREAT TEACHER!

Expect a couple of sales on your CD/DVD on Friday!

    Cheers

  • i feel enlightened :D

  • I really love your lessons. You've really got a natural talent at simplifying theory.

    Thanks alot! :)

  • That was probably the best explanation of this material I've found online. Well presented and simple with good analogies and without a bunch of meaningless technical jargon.

  • with the whole 221 2221 i memorize that by whole whole half, whole whole whole half. but i say wa wa ha, wa wa wa ha. works good for me

  • thanks rob, I'm a guitarist who has been playing for quiet a while, but I never got the roots of musictheory, thank you for this very basic video

  • the most powerful notes can make you sad XD

  • Not criticism or anything but why did u choose to buy a Orange Amp.. im just curious, i heard quite a bit of bad comments on it. You are a great guitarist, Are you sponsored by them?

  • he was

  • Like Monty Python teaches string theory, the theory of everything,,,...or was that M theory?....Well Stephen Hawking your not...But I'd love to have you as a physics....I Mean Guitar teacher! ;)

  • i do love your singing

  • You have a fantastic way of delivering the meat of the subject in a way that flows well, and yet seem to leave out nothing.

If you paiored your teching style up with graphics of notation or downloadable/printable notation these tutorials would be GOLD!

Thank you very much for taking the time to produce these tutorials for us.

  • been playing my guitar for about a year now;learned all the chords, majors, minors and a few 7's and suspendeds. thought i was alright, until i played for my folks and couldn't sing. boring stuff. never really got the whole scaling thing, and the other people out there keep telling me their life stories instead of teaching. U were succinct, funny, creative and obviously know ur stuff and history. i don't do tutorials, but i'd invest big bucks in anything u produced if it's anything like this.

  • Thanks Sexyboy455, I really appreciate that! I actually have two tuition products available. I have a CD which teaches basic theory called "Intervalic Tuition"... It's funny and relaxed. And I now have a DVD called "Rob Chappers Rock Guitar Tuition 1" which is hilarious ha ha.. I get kidnapped!

  • Thank you Mr. Chappers so much, I have learned so much from this video and it deffinately cleared up everything i had questions on. 5/5 stars, i subscribed

  • Cheers mate, great to hear it was useful :-)

  • Thank you, Mr. Chappers! I just started playing last week, and these sorts of basic theroy videos are very helpful! I humbly suggest you continue, as your teaching style and personality is just the kind of thing I'm looking for.

  • thanks for the lesson. It clears up some confusion

  • thanks very much, Rob - this vid made me realize that I actually do know abit of theory, though my playing certainly doesn't show it... *cry*

  • Ha ha.. dude give it time and it will show! :-)

  • how about some intermidiate/advanced theory?

  • Another fine vid Rob, looking forward to the DVD

  • Succint (apart from the e-mail!), lucid and oh so useful lesson, my monkey lord. Brilliant, thanks so much for posting this. I will be looking for your DVD's now, and hope that they will be equally helpful; music theory makes my gums bleed and this was understandable even for pond-life like me.

  • Oh simian diety, what speakers has thou loaded into his holy 4x12 Orange Cab? ANd I also wanted to know, have you ever tried Greenbacks and how do they sound to you compared to the Vintage 30?

    Praise the monkey lord.

  • Rob! This video deserves the phrase 'Christ alive!' Or Monkey Lord in this case, but anyways..

This has been extremely helpful! YouTube is littered with everything you can think of, but this has made an impact on the major scale, major, minor, etc. etc.

    Thanks for this video :)

  • I wish my 7 wasn't in the shop -_-

  • Thanks guys, getting hard to reply now.. getting 450 mails a day from Youtube ha ha. I have much more to upload, so subscribe ;-)

  • 450?from 1500 subs?man people need to leave you alone lol

  • you just blew my mind.

  • Haha picking fat kids for basketball.

Is that guitar next to you your Gibby Flying V, are you selling it?

  • Yeah man, these recent videos are old clips from private tuition videos that my students kindly let me share with you all. That V was sold to the god of biscuits many moons ago :-)

  • And sweet it be! Really enjoyed the last hendrix video mate. I had to stick the band of gypsys album on in the car, I couldnt get "Who Knows" outta my head all day after it tho hehe.

  • monkey lord, you're the best at teaching these things.

thank you so much for your videos.

  • Hey chappers, have you finalized a date for the release of your tuition dvd?

  • really useful lesson
