  • @danslatente more chicken than any man ever seen

  • this is great!!!! you should post this in the John Densmore forum ;-)

Great job and one of my favorite Backdoorman performances by the Doors ever, together with Honolulu 1970 and Dallas 1968!

  • good job bro...

  • yum yum. Truly great drumming. And your set is gorgeous looking AND sounding.

  • 1:50 suck!!!

  • What was wrong with that?

  • good cover

  • Good use of dynamics.

  • dude .......your BAD AZZ!!!! HIT THE SKINS DUDE

  • BRAVO

  • bitchin.

  • perfect fills man, keep it goin

  • Hit Them Sons a Bitchs. Your Good!

  • Perfect, nice fills! :)

  • I now nothing about drumming, but i do know the Doors by heart.

    You got my vote!

  • hey man amazing job

this video can also be a tutorial because it is so good

  • Untrue. Since 1970, John Densmore had a complete drum kit. Look for "the end at the isle of wight" and you'll see it.

  • hey i did and nothing showed up with the complete sit....but i know ur right cause i saw one of his solos and he had a complete set..

  • Who cares man, he's getting the job done and rocking out and having fun, and that's what rock'n'roll is all about. good job winniz

  • @gonzalezbrandon1881 yes he had one, look at the photos from the Birminham Stadium 1967 and the matrix concerts 1967

  • trop fort

  • missed a couple of fills but overall great job great snare work

  • J. D. gets nowhere near the credit he deserves... but then again thats what it is like being in the doors... an thats the way we like it ... underdogs... :)

  • He didn't get much credit because he sued Robbie and Ray, for a reason i cant remember, he also pulled out of the group, a few years after they split up.

  • He sued them for the use of their name when Ray and Robby went back out and did their thing. John wanted to preserve the doors name and their music, and he knows its not the doors unless jim morrison is singing the tunes. i support him for it in every way.

  • really nice man

  • Oh and great drumming!

  • Best thing I ever saw and heard. It's like getting the chance to play drums with the Doors! Wow, what an experience.... Thanks!

  • Nice. Hope you're still with the drums.

  • Eh? Why not just play the real thing & let us hear The Doors perform live on their own?

  • Your question does not make any sense.

  • @winnizkid I think what he meant was; maybe your upload should not be named The Doors-Bacdoor Man-Dallas 1970, as it probably irritates alot of people looking for Live clips of The Doors. Having said that; good job! you're a decent drummer, man :)

  • @tnekable: My goal is to attract as many people as possible on my page. Once there, they see so it is my drum tribute. My goal is to double the drums pieces where the drums are not very audible. Now, if they are "irritate", I guess that a single click is a simple way to leave my page, which is ultimately not much.

But anyway, thanks for your comment, very appreciated.

  • what a jackass

  • make so videos of the beatles ...

    it would be really cool!!

  • hi dude, i have a question, what cymbals are you using?

  • Hey dude, glad you ask :o)

    HH: Paiste Signature

    Crash: Paiste Signature 16"

Ride"1: Zildjian Avedis (very old one, I don't really like it) 18"

Ride"2: Zildjian Constantinople (original, made in Turkey, with rivets) 18"

Thank you everyone for your comments.

  • It sounds nice, congrats, hope you have more Doors vids.!!

  • Cool as hell can you do Black Sabbath and Van Halen on drums too? Anyway perfect camera angle!

  • Dude your kick ASS!!!

  • Fucking great man!!! what drum kit do you use? and how did you mic the drums?? it sounds very clear and professional!!!not like other videos with oversaturation

  • Many thanks guys for all your comments. My drum kit is a Pearl MMX. I use a SONY ECM-MS907 to mic the drums. The mic is plugged in a MacBook. I use Apple's Garageband: I put the Doors' .mp3 then I recorded my part, mixed it with the .mp3 and added it to the video (captured by the built-in iSight of the Macbook).

  • Just one mic?

  • Indeed, just one mic.

  • I LOVE THE DOORS!!! they are one of my favorite bands. this guy i swear took lessons from john densmore!! hey maybe it is him.hahaha great drumming!!

  • 18/01 Late Show is one of my favourite Live Doors show...

  • I was at the late show Sat 1/17/70. started 11-11:30. went on till 2:30-3. They said they were recording the show. It was a zoo, people rushing the stage, fights with cops. A total blast with some great great music. I'll never forget it !

  • eat your chicken, eat your pork and beans, I eat more chicken then you've ever seen, yeah yeah

  • i wanna learn this!

    this is awesome!

  • i had to watch you play this again. i'm still impressed. screw the timing problems. you get the feel and that's what most drummers lack today.

  • ur a tad off timing but sounds pretty neat .

  • I think everything is cool except the foot bass pum pum.pum. or its maybe cuz its Dallas, if I can remember the original goes pum pum pum. If you wanna see what Im talkin about look at Live at the Hollywood Bowl.

  • good drumming hailllyess

  • sympa t'assure grave

  • Hey Man...you have it down COLD!!!! good job

  • dude, nice fills all around. me personally, drumming on this kinda song wouldve used a crash or crash ride when playing instead of the ride. some people say that you shouldnt use a crash for anything other than a nice accent, but it brings a new depth and resonance to the sound.

  • LOVE THE DOORS!!!!!

  • I swear if we lived each other and had a band we could rule the world.

  • Abi sen ne yaptın ya..:)) buraya gel beraber çalalım bi kez de. That s really good. CONGRATULATIONS! from edirne / turkey

  • I have been playing for 10 years.

  • awesome.

  • This is really cool. I admire what you've done. You inserted yourself "back into time." I love it! I've often dreamed about playing drums behind Jimi Hendrix! And experience what Mitch Mitchell did. But I love what you've done here and I love the Doors! Thanks!!!

  • i learned to play mimicking densmore. then i learned keys mimicking manzarek. when i was in high school i would have killed for a drummer like you.

  • John Densmore is one of the most underrated drummers in the world...it's a SHAME

  • U SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK! haha.jk man.u wr pretty good!
