Well the Logitech really does have Dolby Surround sound, although I used a Plantronics Gamecom 777 (Good headset, although MINE had 2 faults!.) Which as a virtual 5.1 Surround Sound box, more of a gimmick :-).

well it isnt an usb soundcard, its an audio engine , not sound card, its like a remote control for your speakers , but, for your headset. so . yeah... but you still wont need a soundcard, since it has its own 7.1 simulated sound on the audio engine.

Gamecom 777 is a Exellent Surround Sound headset, with a Microphone that'll beat any USB Headset. I'd highly recommend it. And it doesn't blow the pockets, either!

You do not even need a Sound Card for the Gamecom 777! :) It's great...
You _WILL_ be heard loud and very clear over VoIP/Skype/Ventrilo/WoW Etc.
Also, Stereo Headsets sound clearer, and crisper than 5.1 +. But if you want Surround Sound (Loads of Companies are doing it these days...) Try the the Razer Megalodon, I hope it's good! :)

The Razer Megalodon are USB. They only require a Frontal/Side/ Any USB 2.0 Sound Slot, the drivers are probaly Installed automatically on a Small Chip inside the Headset.

$150?! I heard it would go for $250. Well that's a bit of a surprise. My current sound system is a creative 7.1 speakers but they don't work out so well and have been discontinued. Eventually I just got rid of all the speakers except for 2 and the sub. It's a decent system, but it's starting to show it's age.
they are virtual 7.1 surround so it doesnt really have all those speakers it just emulates the sound which isn't as good but its still going to be the highest end headset around which i want badly

Sennheisers are arguably the BEST Stereo Headsets around, without 7.1, They kick it's ass.
Pair them up with a 5.1 Surround Sound (Auzentech Soundcard) And you have the Ultimate Sound and Surround Sound :)

I really like both companys.

The G35 is really neat, but this one will be the newest headset, which makes me think that it will be better than older ones.
Razer really puts in hard work for their customers.
And I really don't want to wait for this to come out.

360's only headset input would be into the controller so it's more professional.
PS3 on the other hand - you need specially made USB ones for that.

Me too mate! But it looks like it's coming out right after Christmas. check the end of the video for alternatives, or, do what I'm doing, buy a Turtle Beach X4 for your online Xbox 360 for (5.1) clear Microphone headset.

Np, Mabye I should become a Razer Affliate, I mean, I did this purely for them. to hopefully get more sold to the curious looker on Youtube.
It only works on 360 from which I know, it uses advanced technology inside, so it owns the standard headset, and other Stereo ones.
50mm, not 40mm like regular large Headsets.
Microphone over Xbox Live is very clear.
Mabye you can get Turtle Beach X4 to work on pc, but I guarantee you it's not worth it and it's very complicated.

i'm buying this, but i don't have a sound card, what would be the best sound card to go with these headphones, thinking only of gaming, whats this i hear of a integrated sound card? does that mean i won't need a sound card?

You will not need a Soundcard to play this.
Just make sure your pc has power, and this will work. For your Films/Gaming this'll be great, but if you want the Top-End sound this wont be.
but for this price it's great. But 7.1 is overkill, and the sound quality will be reduced. I recommend buying the ''Plantronics Gamecom 777' £10 cheaper, 5.1, better sound quality, and Dolby Digital.
All of these USB ones has Integrated Sound Cards.

It has a Pre-Amp and a integrated Soundcard. It's gonna be awesome! although, some people say it COULD be ''decent'' So, if you're just looking for a exellent Microphone at under £80, go for the Samson CO1U :) Condenser mic, it gives rich sound.

although these people should have alot more media attention, Only way I found this was by searching for a new headset, '' 7.5 headset '' on google. I was tired of 5.1's lol, now it's all jammed into a simple darn USB saving loads of money for the pc, But the barracuda will still be in fashion when this comes out.

It sure will be :) you'll be saving a hella lot of money than buying a latest Fata1ty Soundcard for your pc and a expensive headset. Soundcard will produce 7.1, (£150) headset (£60/120)
while this is a mere 80 pounds here. It looks really awesome too.
