Shishio is definitely an awesome villain. Any villain who follows the " social darwinism" philosophy " Like Apocalypse from the x-men is fascinating since when you think about it , they are right in some twisted way.
I love how Kenshin would have won so many battles if he had a proper front-bladed katana in his hands. He would have cut Shishio in two at 2:20 the same way he would have decapitated Saito in their duel.

Also that's an argument based on an assumption - Saito could just be bragging and we would never know, whereas Kenshin's hit landed perfectly on Saito's spine.
Moreover, and again in Kenshin's defense, Shishio, later, fought all out against Kenshin and the same thing happened.
The japanese voice actor sounds pretty cool for kenshin but the one for shishio sounds like a dweeb next to the american voice actor. He's the same one who does the voice of the lead character in Cowboy Bebob. He's got the coolest voice around.

Matsubayashi Henyasai however lived a little earlier, in the beginning of the Edo Period, prior to the bakumatsu.

one thing i hated about this is when kenshin uses kuzuryusen it knocks shishio really far back. But when saito uses his gatotsu and hits shishio he doesnt move even tho in the manga it is stated saitos gatotsu has the same force as kuzuryusen.
Except that both of Saitos quads where badly cut that his driving force was cut down, even Shisio said that he was thankful for, whoever it was with that turtle shield for cutting his quad and reducing his bext techiques power.
i thought shishio's 'mugenjin' was made specifically to never wear out and it had extremely tiny razor like teeth across his blade, somehow making it able to ignite through friction, thus causing that giant fire tornado
kenshin had a reverse blade sword and throughout the whole series, its been explained that he doesn't want to kill anyone ever again, which is why he never "cut" anyone
This series was awesome when it still played on Toonami, but Kenshin's japanese voice sounds like a complete pussy!
What I never understood about this anime was how kenshin never managed to cut anyone with his sword (besides using the blunt side) and how friggin' technical it got for how unrealistic the fighting was.

Yeah I agree, but also, Saito had the chance to kill shishio, had he not gone for the forhead, but the throat or heart, it would have ended there. Kenshin is not willing to use his sharp edge unless in hitokiri mode, so to speak, and in that mode he cant use his ultimate attack
