No one was going to take the risk on a zombie based strategy game for a console that was yet to be released by a new division of a company as their first release title. There where some really cool zombie games pre left 4 dead that never got published, no-one in the publishing industry thought that zombies would sell games..hindsight fail. if it weren't for steam and their digital downloads, L4D would be too.
