The first time I heard Anette sing this live, I was appauled because she tried to hit the high notes the same! It might not have been so bad if it had been attempted in her own vocal range, but I was still like... woah... And it's a long song too so extra long suffering. Before I heard this I thought Anette singing what I think is the best musical composition of all time would cause me to be in so much pain, I'd have to jump out a window. But she really doesn't massacre it. I didn't know she could hit the high notes. On Dark Passion Play, she didn't hit any high notes, and it was sort of upsetting. But this isn't that bad.

I prefer Tarja, but I accept Anette - she's interpreting the old Nightwish songs in her own way. Sometimes it sounds good, sometimes not. But in my opinion there are few track she totally owned. I didn't like her early live performances, but I was realy impressed when I saw her in 2009 - she has really improved and, yes, integrated with the band.

I actually think this voice is kinda hot. it makes Tarja sound like a 16 year old celtic girl and the timbre is really bright and sweet. it's nothing compared to the epic, heroic voice of the real Tarja, but far from a waste of 10 minutes.

I have to disagree. GLS is the one of the few old song where I just don't like Anette's singing. But she is not a bad singer, I just prefer Tarja's voice much more.
