This is pretty cool. I've always had an interest in Burning Man, and watching that episode of Malcolm is actually what inspired me to want to go in 2010 (my first burn as well). There are a bunch of websites with great tips for how to survive the playa, save money, etc, so just keep your eye out! The forums on the Burning Man website is a great resource; the people on there are really nice, and all too happy to help.

.After watching this video...you seem like you absolutely need to go. You did the episode of Malcolm in the middle...and it sounds like a great experience, but unless you actually experience the real thing, you're always going to wonder what the real burning man was like, every penny spent will be worth it, just do your research! I saw that episode, and as much as there were similarities, there were a lot - A LOT of differences! So I say go for it in 2010!

Ok I just saw their montage, that's pretty spectacular. Looks like Burning Man has grown into a monster of epic proportions, beyond what I had thought. It's HUGE.

Burning man would be fun but I'm inclined to stay near where there's city services...I don't know if I'm enough of a free spirit to really get into it.

Yeah the closest town is a 1/2 hour away, 13 miles of road. I do like city services myself.
