  • Definitely feeling this :)

  • absolutely mesmerising, can't believe this has 5 dislikes - nobs

  • Nice ass fuck!

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF .... ascinating track O_O

  • i think the best dnb track of the decade really nice upload john.... i also own that white vinyl cheers ;)

  • OH

    MY

    GOD

  • the more i listen to it the more i like it

  • EPIC

  • Genius, beautiful and awesome.

  • fantastic simplicity

  • breadbin..... this tune is an all time classic, you just made me feel 15 again... majestic tune, truly breathtaking

  • Best intelligent drum'n'bass track EVER.

    EVER.

  • I wish they did a part 2 of this or an extended version, use the same atmospheric samples maybe change the beat a bit or somthing, I want more.

  • I'm not as familiar with the 'prettier' kinds of dnb, which subgenre would this be called? Just curious.

    Really great song, love it.

  • @w35m4n just dnb innit, the more you bring pointless names into describing a whole sound thats based on broken beats...the more you segregate it from itself

  • @hypercatjohn I agree, a lot of the time it's pointless. It's just that it's helpful cause sometimes you want to listen to a certain feeling of dnb or whatever type of music, so it can help find other artists that are more similar in that way. But I do think people take subgenres way too seriously.

  • @hypercatjohn nicely said man, you speak the truth.

  • @hypercatjohn true, but most people call stuff like this drumfunk. It's a sound both artists have pioneered but really look into the artists and the labels if you are more curious about the sound. These guys are production machines at the top of their game.

  • @w35m4n If you look for more harmonical stuff, look for liquid drum and bass :/

  • @w35m4n actually, this prettier dnb or back in early 1990 called jungle, was the first form of dnb from which other kinds originated. As of today, i find it as the oldest and yet most complex of all!

  • @w35m4n @hypercatjohn True True, but it helps if your looking for something similar to have a subgenre to start with. So I would call this ambient dnb, or liquid dnb (except without the jazz vocals) try looking up medschoolmusic, there a sub label to Hospital records (High Contrast London Elektricity). They produce alot of similar artist, you also might want to try Phaeleh ( /watch?v=p-lYudKH_oQ&feature=related ). Hope that helps. Also if you like chill out music look at Bop he's great.

  • @IAmBound Thanks man.

  • @w35m4n No Problem, genres labeling can be a pain, but it always helps you find similar music.

  • @w35m4n atmospheric DnB

  • {g o r g e o u s}

  • Amazing Song <3 Favourite Collection

    Beauty Melody!

  • Wow, it´s wonderfull for relaxing !

  • I love icy beats

  • Looks like the vinyl is matching the rhythm. Love it,

  • Woke up this morning, home alone. Turned open the window, noticed it had snowed, everything I saw was white..

First thing I did afterwards, was let the neighbourhood enjoy the sounds of Alaska!

  • sent from above

  • This and 'Snow' are my favourite tracks by Seba. I wish he does an extended mix of this and takes it a bit further or use some of the same samples for part 2 or something.

  • Beautiful tune nice one for playing it straight from the vinyl. Can't beat the sound of a needle on an incredible piece of vinyl :)

  • I like this! :D

  • 90% ambient, 10% techstep, 100% rhythm wonder!

  • i come from K-Pax..............this Music Play all Day on this Planet! Peace

  • John, where did you get that on vynil? Is there any site I can order it or something? Would love to have stuff from Paradox and or Seba on vynil.

Sick tune by the way. All time favourite =D

    Keep up the good uploads!

  • @LoveHateL0ve hi mate. discogs is your best bet, other than that, try juno or chemical records

  • @hypercatjohn

Thanks mate! Found the stuff on Discogs. Can't wait to start playing those vynils here in the netherlands! =D

    I owe you something!

  • @LoveHateL0ve no worries matey, maybe stick some mixes up like I do, the more people doing it, the more ears it'll reach, look into people like equinox, nebula, naibu...etc, theyre all as amazing

  • @hypercatjohn This is a quality tune, and this kinda drum and bass is so soul touching :)

  • love your vids hypercat...i never am without a good track to toke up to :)

  • very good

  • so fucking mellow....fantastic tune...

  • za szybkie, ale dobre

  • It's lovely, another Seba into my favourites. What year is this HyperCatJohn?

  • Oooooooooooh now you're askin, 2006/2007 I think!

  • You gotta be joking? I thought this was an early DnB flava! Incredible. Thanks for the upload!

  • Nope, relatively new. Check out 'forever' by seba too. in fact...just crawl through my uploads, theres shit loads of good stuff to choose from if you like this

  • Yeah deff, I produce this style so it's all heavily inspiring. 'So Long' by Seba & Lotek is probably my favourite but I'll check out your other uploads. Thanks mate.

  • REWELACJA!!!

  • Love how it mellows out and that revamped beat kicks in. SHITS GOOD.

  • Seba's the man.

  • feels so good...

  • mindfuck tune...

  • From 12" Perpetual / Back From Eternity ...wicked tune, i love it! Fanx! :)

  • Thank you Captain Obvious.

    lol

I go into Nirvana when I hear this.

Most of all, I can accomplish twice the amount of work while listening to this.

I'm so focused and alive whilst listening to it.

  • i played this on repeat while i was goin to sleep.. its shit man :))

  • repetitious listening for the win m8!!!!!

  • "its shit man" means it's bad lol

But yeah, go to iTunes Radio and click "Electronica" and search for any "Downtempo/Chillout/Lounge/Triphop/Liquid/Acid" type stuff...

I listen to it ever night.

Cryosleep is my favorite since it has ZERO BEATS Guaranteed, it's way better to sleep to, I get headaches and wake up if there's fast beat changes or effects.

I want to put a very sub-bass efficient subwoofer under my bed at low volume, I love the effect and feeling of it.

  • oh shit, i didnt even notice that lol i ment to say its the shit as in good

  • Don't worry ;)

  • wicked track, nice vinyl aswell - u know i got that !

  • i can feel the icy winds and the cold breathy air inside the caves of a glacier. its not dark and not lit, but somehow its a shiny atmosphere . the sunlight sparkles on the ice..... well done

  • great!

  • awesome track, sebas music is some of the best drum n bass ever created in my opinion, its intelligent the mans a genious, on a par with the likes of LTJ

  • Absolutely agree, he's one of the small amount of producers who believe in going back to move forward. He's got a new track out called 34 Alpha, one of the hardest hitting dnb tracks I've heard in eons.

  • Wish I'd have realized that some time ago. Now I'm bringing it back down to 150-160 bpm, where it belongs.

    Drumfunk, ohh yyeaahhh.

  • smooooth! *****

  • it sounds like "move on" at the start

thats a better track in my opinion

  • i love your channel hypercatjohn

thanks for the stuff you add to youtube

  • This would be considered drumfunk (or ambient jungle)? I'd dislike calling this drum and bass as all the stuff I usually hear has that repetitive "kick snare, kick-snare" pattern.

  • *Ambient Jungle* - Arctic Music is the ONLY 100% Ambient Jungle label in the DnB scene at present.

  • its still dnb blud,, but yeh jungle, dnb, id call it,.. 'good drum and bass' as appose to crap dnb he he..

  • It's hard for me to find this specific type of dnb for some reason. Can anybody throw out some track names?

  • Just dig round my profile man, if you sub, I up new mixes with tracklistings all the time. Whatever is out there that is like this, I own...it's that simple!

  • very eerie but amazing

  • one of the best down tempo tracks Ive ever heard

  • To sunj26mix--------Downtempo? eh?

  • hrmmm.... i guess...... this is FUCKING AWESOME : D

  • o rly?

  • perelka...muzyka jest scenografia uczuc thx

  • Hello all.

This track 'Back From Eternity' by Alaska & Seba will be finally available on MP3 on MARCH 14th 2009 via iTunes and Juno.

    Respects Alaska.

  • I'll forward on an email to all my subscribers for you Dev. I get a lot of questions regarding an MP3 version of this. Looking forward to Isolationist EP!

  • Cheers. The whole White-Vinyl Series of Arctic Music will be available on March 14th :)

Yeh the Isolationist LP is already here, looks great, triple TRANSPARENT GLASS VINYL. droool !! hehe. Well I got my copies, but in shops in a few weeks :):)

  • Sounds great, been keenly keeping an ear out for the podcast things you do. Been loving every track off it, much respect for sticking to your guns amidst the clownstep era we live in

  • Dude you just made my day ... no wait make that my year. Ill probably end up the vinyl regardless, this tune made me want to start mixing.

Wicked track , keep it up.

  • First heard this song in the jx3p mix. It comes right after "Elusion Theme" by Nucleus and Paradox. Both songs work so well together.

  • savage

  • that track is just epic.... so weird, but great ;D

  • i know this jx3p has remix it too

  • i've been looking for this track on CD, but its no where to be found, any ideas here??

  • as far as I know, it's not available on any mix albums. You might find it for download from juno downloads, or use soulseek.

  • quality cut yo!

  • Comment removed

  • pure quality

  • this would mix well with LTJ's "journey inwards" or "watercolours"

  • isn't alaska co-producer of this?

    pls tag right!

  • unless you're dev, then why on earth would you care so greatly? the people who care enough about the music know who is and isn't on production duty

  • i dont care so much, but sometimes people search only to alaska tracks...

  • Wow, White Vinyl, Just as uncommon and special as the tune. 5 * TUUUUUNE

  • I do not know why, but when i listen to this track and see the rare white coloured vinyl, tears pop from eyes flowing down my face forming beads wherever they drop.

  • Hello!

Excellent music and player corner movie.

    Greetings,

    HiS7021 (BITS)

  • Aha i see, the famous hiphop break beat, with ooh yeah vocal on it, and now used by Crookers

  • hiphop?

    Get your facts straight

  • He doesn't mean this is Hip hop, he meant this break came from a Hip hop background, it's true!

  • everything starts from 'amen break'

  • fucking brilliant

  • phat

  • which drumbreak is this?

    Is this a famous drumbreak?

    (like Amen,Apache, Funky Drummer, etc)

I want to use it too!!

  • Lynn Collins - Think (About It)

  • its actually the hotpants break.

  • close enough.

  • really nice track atmospheric my favourite

    seba rules

  • Nice track. It even has a slice of Roger Eno's Voices for good measure.

  • Brilliant!!

  • fuckin quality m8 and good choice of turntable same as mine

  • this is just great

  • *sigh* lovely

  • Absolutely class, sit back with a reefer and feel on top of the world

  • i am m8. safe.

  • super!

  • wonderful

  • This is tune is indescribable...

Rolling, meditative, deep - I love those chewy, chunky drums. And those choir-like synths when they come in... it's like looking at the glimpsing the sun through the clouds.

My own white vinyl copy of this track came through the post today - thanks for whacking this video up and inspiring me buy it!

  • hi, great that youve bought it, maybe buy some more like kirsty hawkshaw - night theme (paradox remix) and some tracks on a label called esoteric...theyre all like this style

  • yeah Seba just get it right every time!!!

  • this is just too good...

  • insanetly amazing....makes u very strange...

  • This is as perfect as perfect gets.

  • I live for this kind of music

  • wow that was almost too relaxing...great stuff :)

  • Didn't like drum&bass till now.... Seba = Great!

  • Amazing track, god bless drum'n'bass

  • big up paradox and all his labels, arctic, outsider, paradox music, all pushing atmospheric heavy drumfunk to the forefront!

  • nice tune cheers for uploading,

    that 123rouven123 is a joker.

  • Wow, this track borders on the mystical.

  • indeed, beautiful track!

  • Great! Thx for uploading.

  • man this shit is hot..i fall more in love with DnB everyday

  • beauty 5 * seba is in my ears full time at moment :] wot the fuck is he on drums are strange and bass is too hard lol

  • haha i know, welcome to drum n bass cockhead! some people amaze me with their stupidity

  • This is for liquid drum and bass conoisseurs only

  • Excellent track!

  • the drums are very strange and the bass is too hard it think

  • haha wrong wrong and wronger than wrong.

  • this is by far one of my favorite drum and bass tunes, thanks for posting it

  • PURE

  • I like this. It has a different approach - interesting bass line and doubled snare drums, - nice vibe!

  • this is something else! don't wana mess it with words...

  • beauty isnt it, check my other vids and mixes for some more nice tunes

  • this is altight, yeah, but it doesnt get better than alright.

if you want some real seba beauties then try seba - steel (too amazing for words) and seba & paradox - move on (although if anyone HASNT heard this then where have you been!?!)

  • got both of those on 12" and i can see what you mean but at the end of the day, like our lord bukem says...its all a matter of opinion!

  • of course, its just if people think this is good then i know some seba stuff which is better, im sharin the love man!

  • good lad. this is on a different tip to the two tracks you mentioned, this ones going for the all out deep as you like ethreal feeling, whereas the other two grab you by the chuffers and swing you around a bit while managing to stay sexual deep at the same time! you should put some seba tunes up dude

  • well put

  • try chemical records for vinyl theres shit loads
