I love how intimate Steven gets with his audience here. It feels like we're all sitting together in his living room listening to him share his heart. This is touching beyond words...
I was at this concert. It was so cool to hear him talk about everything that happened and how his family was getting through it. God has really been with their family. Seeing him play with both of his sons on stage was amazing.
Thank you for sharing the gift of encouragement . I too have experienced a loss but in adoption and there are times when I am grief stricken. However, we both know that The Lord can give us strength to carry on. Hoping to find her on earth, but knowing that hopefully she will accept the Lord and I will see her in Heaven.
We saw SCC at Biltmore on Aug 1. It was so clear that God and a band of angels were in attendance. Awesome concert and awesome family. What a testimony of faith!
Thanks for sharing your blackberry moment with Steven Curtis Chapman. I wish I could have been there to witness a precious time in Christian music history.
amesyalldaway2 - yes it was... it was very emotional and special for sure. I had a glipmse of Heaven as Steven shared about Maria. I can't wait to do this for eternity with other believers!
God is so amazing. We'll never be able to fully understand why He does the things that He does, but He knows and His plan and timing are perfect. Thanks so much for posting this!!
barrrrb, you are very welcome! thank you for watching and commenting. You are right about not being able to understand fully yet... but some day we will. Hope to see you there! :)
Through all this pain, God delivers. I wonder why it is that we are surprised. I've been listening to SCC's music for about 20 years now, and the stories of his life, learning, living, and even the stories of his difficulties as a young person have inspired me and thousands of others. God will use this tragedy for His glory, because God always delivers.
Thank you so much for posting this. So many of us have been praying for Steven and his family since Maria's death, and for last night's concert. It's wonderful to hear Steven's testimony of the truth of the Gospel and to know the Lord is meeting him and his family in such a real way at this time.
