Weapons with shorter barrels generally have a ridiculous muzzle flash. It's the unburned powder riding the gases out of the bore and burning up.

Barrels are cheap and only take about 30 minutes to change. I'd like to see that gas tube after a mag dump like that though. Bet it was starting to glow.

Gas tube? Uh, read the title . . . That's a POF, which means that it is gas piston--the best made, btw. Read the Small Arms Review 1000 round dump test. The POF handled 10x100 beta mag dumps w/o any hiccups. The regular AR (using a gas tube system) failed after 324 rounds--blown tube.

Not likely. You should read the literature on POF's barrels. I bet this one didn't even need to be cleaned. Seriously. Small Arms Review brags that their POF 416 is still considered a freak show amongst their staff--20,000 rounds through it, never cleaned, never jammed. Now that's a legit AR.
