heehee ive done that by accident, went out to the river on my mare mels, and as we were cantering through the water, she sees this big trench in the kiddle of the river where theyre were doing work to widen the bed or sumthin, so she jumps up and dives straight into it head an all, i was in my school uniform at the time, wen she resurfaced, she seemed very very happy and pleased wiuthherself, and i was very wt, but it was a warm day so twas cool XD

it's different with every horse. my horse loves to swim, so he just went right in. my other horse won't even go near the water, and my friends horse was a litle hesitant. But, after working with him for about 30 minutes he was fine and swimming like my horse. it just depends, some horses freak out because they don't know what's in the water since they can't see the bottom and they aren't standing. But, they get used to it pretty quickly.

aha well..where i live in FL we dont have crocodiles. yess, we have alligators, but not in our pond. instead we had snakes to worry about. but they stay away when they hear the horses come. we have never had a problem.

no its not really hard. actually the first couple of times we did it, the horses got excited when they were getting out of the pond and they kind of jumped out. haha we didnt expect it so we kind of just slid right off them and into the pond. haha but you get used to it. i havnt fallen since then.
