@backyardsounds my grandparents got it a very long time ago to put the antenna for the TV on and run a clothes line from the house to it. imagine that. I grew up thinking that was normal. ;) thanks for posting!!
@hairlesshippy They're becoming a rare item nowadays. That's the older type I recall from the 70s that had creosote clear to the top! Now, if you see a wooden pole, they don't have near the same amount of creosote. I'd love to have a couple to make a couple grape trellis. I have one now but the posts are pressure treat and I HATE PT wood. It' always splits and warps.
how on earth did you procure a telephone pole?
