You're not the first giant game controller-maker I've asked this but...

Did you have to use any transistors or anything to prevent weakening the signal between the giant buttons and the circuit board?

I'm planning on making a NES controller where the buttons are spread across the room and each button is about half the size of this entire controller, so I'm figuring out how to prevent delay or glitches.

@pman1902 You're very right, practicality was far from my mind... but to be honest its surprisingly easier than I expected, and I did need a bit of a challenge added to Super Mario World. After 100% completing it 3 times or more I need to up the ante! Thanks for the comment dude.

That'd be the least of my worries, the basic shape of the N64 controller is nuts! You could do the joystick the same as the D-pad, but extend the stick from the center. You'd have to make sure it could hit the diagonals as well though.

@MilfCaBBage The shape is not a problem. I'm not going to make it out of wood. It's going to be made out of carbon fiber with a aluminum skeleton. Just not sure about the Thumb stick & how to hit the L'n R buttons... Maybe i can make a stand for it, so it can be at an angle. Make a Glass top for it so it can be a Round table too! this is going to take a good 6 months to do the job right. Time for autodesk for some help...
