He said "if Nas sell 2 million, I gotta go sell 4". This was right after It Was Written came out and Nas went double platinum. Nobody even knew who Jay was at that point. Big knew who he had to deal with.

Pac had a problem with Nas after a misunderstanding but they squashed it right before he died. There are several versions of a story of them meeting up in Central Park weeks before he passed.
