I wish that you could have your own sounds added. Like when it is a coin, it would say,"coin" or something other than the ding or dong. And why no volume control on the detector? But I like mine so far. Just got into the hobby.
I have a ACE 250 the ID if it IDs a Quarter its a Q 99% A dime and a copper Pennie will ID the same 90% New pennies will be the 2nd. notch to the right 95%. I some times Discriminate the newer pennies because of the cold. they are in when i find them. PS. also dimes seem to always ID dime99%. TEX being from Texas his detector was not working as good as mine in Michigan.RON
question...I also have a 250. the target I.D. and depth are usually pretty dead on. from time to time i get a strong reading that shows up as a $1, but when I pinpoint it it works in reverse. the sound disappears when i get the target. I know its some kind of mineral...any idea what kind?
4:22 Nottice how the dog starts barking. Dogs seem to hate the Garrett ace :) I know cause I got a 250 myself, and dogs always bark at the sounds, especially if they are far away.
HI, I have had the ace250 for a couple months now. My only disapointments were that it shows poptop when I scan my gold wedding band (yes its real gold) and it sounds off when I bump the ground with it. Is this normal?
I did some research on why this detector sounded weird and turns out that the AC unit ( sound in the backround) was making some of my machines act funny on the test bed , however i will ve visiting the old test bed to show the advantage of having the FBS feature on the Mnelab detectors ... They eliminate noise pretty dang good..
The audion in my camera is pretty distorted, as far as the ACE 250 i just got it adjusted , i had to get the ground balance adjusted because of the soil in this side of Texas.. They are pretty accurate in "clean" and not "trashy" areas , this thing is accurate as heck at the park where the soil is softer and coins are only 1 to 4 inches deep.. Still the best $250 you will ever spend..
Your detector is messed up! I have the ace150 and 250 and they both ID exactly what is under the ground. Yes sometimes pennies and dimes fall under the same ID but everything else is what it says it is. The 250 is a fun easy to use machine.
It depends on the amount of ground mineralization in your area. Severe ground mineralization can throw target id's way off on any machine, but especially fixed/preset ground balance machines.
@fishercz20 is the ace 150 and the ace 250 basically the same thing as far as depth and readouts...the 250 just has one more mode for no motion or pinpointing as the 150 dont right?..please let me know..thankz

@softyrider05 My 150 shows pulltab on gold bands too. And if I bump the ground it does chime off.

Will let you do the research on that one. Good luck

lol, I hate that noise.
Ever try the Fisher F2? I've read that it's the Ace 250 killer, and it's cheaper with a free coil.

I have my ace 250 since may, 150 coins so far
Too bad they don't make a € version for the IDing

That Ace 250 sounds a little unusual to me, it might just be the speaker. I love my Ace 250, thanks for the video.
