E85 is a bit inconvenient because the infrastructure for ethanol is still in its infancy. In Phoenix, AZ there is only one station that offers Ethanol. Maybe in 10 years its going to be more available and cheaper.
My grandpa could of saved his farm had he of known he could license his farm for e85 use.. He would be doing pretty well actually..Corn is not really good to eat anyway from a nutrition standpoint..If corn goes up in price to eat, then love your gas prices currently!!
It also burns cleaner, and will decrease our dependency on overseas. Plus it is relenishful..Meaning it doesn't run out, so when supply goes down, more farms open.. There are thousands and thousands of acres of farmland just sitting there deserted.. GO E85!!
Yo!! Smart People!! Think about this.. new stuff takes time to become accepted, once it does, we will see the price drop allot, much cheaper to ship e85 then oil across the ocean. And it will boost our own economy and give farmers jobs and you will see corn fields everywhere.. More money into the cities means more economic growth!!
tell that to the politicians that are pushing this technology. Look at corn prices too that have gone almost doubled in the last year. Who gets hurt? Little guy in mexico who survives on tortillas. Who benefits? Big Farmer ADM CArgils etc. Dumb
This stuff does not support the anti american clerics and dictators in the middle east, i'm converting my car to e85 also!

Well, technically ethanol gets about 30% lower mileage.
Still costs more than gasoline though.

Yes, keep giving your oil money to Iran such that it can speed up its nuclear bomb development! Good Luck!

Note: anecdotal evidence the fuel economy (miles/gallon) is about 1/2 of gasoline.
Note: price @ pump of E85=Regular Gas... therefore, E85 costs TWICE as much as the equivalent gasoline.
If Gas is $3.00 /gallon... E85 <= $1.50 /gallon, otherwise it is NOT worth the inconvenience
