lollol pure breed lol is good if and only if you dont play God´s and don´t destroy a niçe breed like they did with Neo Mastiff and other´s. This is a Bandog nothing more because F.C.I. don´t aceppet it like pure breed.
LOVE this! We have our l'il mastiff/Dane mix too...he's now going on 4 yrs, but the video we posted was at about 6 mnths. Now at least 180 lbs and over 6 feet tall on his hind legs. He's is the greatest! I really need to put up more videos of him...thanks for the inspiration again!
Call it a "hybrid" all you want, but these are mutts. Any experienced dog breeder will tell you to get good breeds, it takes MORE than just one generation to get things right. I know it isn't the fault of the dogs, but they look horrible!
People always searching for new breeds are in turn committing those hybrids to lives in shelters. Why not just deal with the huge animal problem we have instead of purposely breeding more dogs? Breeding in general saddens me. Just amplifies all the problems. My dogs are both rescues. One we figure is a husky collie cross, the others sibling had a dna test came back dane mastiff rottie. I suppose mine are hybrids too.
You are breeding the dogs and keeping them in cages, what are you trying to accomplish? What you are doing is wrong, and people shouldn't be allowed to breed dogs to create "Hybrids" There are enough failed hybrids in animal shelters looking for homes already, go save a "Hybrid from an animal shelter instead of producing more that will probably end up there too, animals are meant to be loved, not experimented with.
I've seen dogs like this hundreds of times at the animal shelters I've worked at. Various mixes of mastiffs with vastly varying temperaments, health levels etcetera. None of them were OFA checked or anything else checked and were bred to be big and look tough basically. Until generations pass with careful monitoring and consistency, these are just mutts. Not that there's anything "wrong" with mutts.
Do you OFA health test? thyroid, eyes, DNA? Big dogs have lots of health problems. They look like they're "very well taken care of" in an old muddy pen with that amazing set up you have there....chewed up water buckets and all. i
Why are you purposely breeding mutts? It's the same as me mixing my two dogs and calling them "hybrids". Proper training can turn any "aggressive" dog into a friendly one. Their breed does not matter. The black dogs back legs look horrible also. I can't tell people what to do with their dogs but this is stupid... plain and simple.
@mjfromga89 You obviously have no clue.these hybrids were selected from pure bred dogs, not mixing your mutt dogs and calling them hybrids. if you would look at any breed they were created by mixing various breeds. i saw the black dog in person, he is now 175lbs and can run all day long without tiring there was nothing wrong with his back legs try not to be so ignorant.
@TandJMonsterKennel Oh okay. Well since I'm obviously the only one that has a problem with this and sees an issue with the dogs, I guess I'm totally wrong. LOL! How about you listen to some of these people and YOU try not to be so ignorant. Get a grip. If you "hybrid" breeders were smart you'd know that a HYBRID is two different species NOT just two different breeds of the same species. You have mixed dogs, NOT hybrids. I'm moving along now though, no more commenting on this video. Good day sir.
@mjfromga89 um actually your wrong !! look at fish. There is a fish called a hybred bass striper/white bass mix. hmm how about a tiger trout or what goes on in the wild out west in the usa with the mule deer and the white tail deer. lear your facts before you open your mouth to try and sound smart
@bhallb23 Actually it is you that is wrong! Also you're going to want to learn how to spell and write before you come at me with all that ignorant crap. Take a long hike. You have failed.
@mjfromga89 And what's the problem with a mixed dog? They're a lot healthier in general. Purebred dogs started this way at one time or another. What's sad are not the hybrids but how people bred purebreds like the modern English Bulldogs, the Bassett Hound, etc. with legs so short and body so long, their back is asking for problems. The only ones that care so much about purebreds are people wanting to project their tastes into the animal (a master race of dogs?) Fuck off!
@TandJMonsterKennel You are absolutely right in that the hybrids can be so much healthier. Most of the genetics hereditary problems found in limited purebred stocks are eliminated almost immediately in producing hybrids. These people saying that you breed mutts have no clue that just about every single breed known to man started off this way. The pitbull was once a bulldog terrier cross, etc. More power to you for breeding for function over form.
@mjfromga89 There's nothing wrong with breeding "mutts". Pure bred dogs are over rated. They are very inbred and have a lot of health problems. Cross bred dogs are typically much healthier than pure breds. I have a 10 year old English bulldog American bulldog mix and she is very healthy.
@neurocytohemotoxic I had to reply. My MUTT dog is 50% Labrador 25% Chow and 25% APBT. Hybrid dogs are wild dogs mixed with domestic dogs, not two mutts crossed together. Pure bred dogs? Both dogs are mixed! The pups would be as mutt as my dog, 3 breeds! I'm proud of my mutt, this guy needs to get a grip. Notice how he did not respond to the question about health testing but bashed her other comment into the ground along with mine. He took a sip of the reality drink when she said that...
@mjfromga89 I NEVER said that the two dogs in this video were purebred. In one of your comments you asked the guy why he was purposely breeding mutts. That made me think that you like purebred dogs more than mixed breed dogs. It seemed like you were bashing mixed breed dogs.
@neurocytohemotoxic He said to me that they were pure bred, sorry for that. I disagree with breeding no matter what but I totally disagree with random breeding without doing health testing and then trying to pass them off as a breed. Did you see how he responded to me? Utter crap. NO dog can run all day and not tire! Also the video is presented like he owns the dogs, so why did he repeatedly say "I've seen that dog in person" like it's someone elses dog? I'm really not gonna comment here anymore
breeding mixed breeds does not create genetic issues, its a myth.
Purebred dogs have the most genetic faults because they are not PURE. THEY COME FROM IN-BREEDING
which means brother sister couples.
I hate when people with no educational background think they have a right to opinion on scientific matters.
the Neapolitan breed is one of the most inbred dogs with the most problems Breeding mix will cause less genetic faults than breeding than purebred Neapolitans.
@cassiehuffman i have seen these dogs in person and the problem you are describing does not exist. i guess some people have to cut something down, to make them feel good
Good mix. The Neapolitan Mastiffs should be bred with longer muzzles and Great Dane mixed in makes the muzzles longer. The short muzzles cause breathing problems. I recommend leaving tail and ears long because surgery is always traumatic for the systems and so unnecessary.
Nice looking hybrids,if it were me i would have first crossed a high quality great dane with a nice game bred american pitbull terrier with good temperment, then cross their off spring with a working class Neapolitan with good hips and without excess wrinkles. But you probably no more than i do.
Liked and subscribed. The neapolitan mastiff and the dogo argentino are wonderful breeds... but why the great dane? Seems to me that the great dane genetics will make them less trainable, and less protection-oriented.
@aquashift You obviously know nothing about great danes or never had one. They are very protective & trainable. Out of the 3 dogs I have (shepherd, lab & dane), my dane is the smartest and has learned the most. He also is extremely protective of his family. I think anyone who tries to break in or hurt any of us would be in so much trouble, like 170lbs worth.
I've had a great dane before, and know a lot about them =). They can be protective, but the majority of Great Dane breeders don't breed for a protective temperament, and you should know that.
They are bred for their loyalty and companionship nowadays.
@buddysmom1000 They are trainable, but not as easily trainable as the dogo argentino... and if you are using neopolitan mastiff genetics, you don't need great dane.. Neos are hard to train already. Anyway, no disrespect to you, I admire what you are doing
If you've been breeding 30 years you should know how overpopulated the world is with dogs already and does NOT need a new hybrid, Beautiful dogs anyway but still
there is book called 30 years among wild beasts in india written by gp sanders in this book author shares his hunting experience that indian bullterrier or ( hybrid of bulldog and bullterrier ) brought down baby elephant just wandering if i can see thst dog back in india ive seen but here in canada m only dreaming

@TandJMonsterKennel well ive always owned the shepherd mixes to be honest so i couldnt compare in long term ownership but i was very impressed by the tenacity and courage of my friends bull terrier mastiff its a little smaller but very muscular and compact seemed very willing to please, u have nice looking mixes tho its similar to the dog i want
