Saturday is supposed to be the Christian Sabbath, but the Roman Catholic Church changed that a long time ago to Sunday...which celebrates the day the Sun(light)was made. Honestly, it was an anti-Jew decision(Lucipher wins that round and the Crusades round also).

In some cultures there is no Saturday, because they have a completely different calendar, and language. That's obvious. However, American Christians have American calendars. And should be intelligent enough to realize what day comes first on it :P

this doesn't make sense Catholics celebrate on Sundays, just because Jesus resurrected on a Sunday morning. Sunday is a celebration day, it's a holiday (just like Christmas, Hanukah, etc.... a holiday that happens every week, that remembers the resurrection of Christ.) . For Catholics Fridays are also very important, although it's a working day, as Friday is the same weekday as when Jesus died on the cross.

In Catholicism, Sunday is both the seventh day (rest) as well as the first.

Also, custom was also that people didn't work on the Sabbath because of that initial reason, yet Jesus still performed miracles on the Sabbath because healing and faith do not have to wait and should not wait since it is so important.

I don't understand why others say Catholics don't acknowledge Sabbath, and that Sabbath is on Sunday. it is not liked that! Catholics acknowledge Jesus was hanged before 3pm on Friday, before Sabbath began. This means that we acknowledge Sabbath is from sundown on Friday until sundown on Saturday. For Catholics, it's not a time for rest, but it doesn't mean we don't acknowledge the existence of the day.
