Then when I question that, instead of offering some semblance of an intelligent response, you bring up Simons hit, saying I probably thought that it was okay.

I wouldn't compare Simons hit to Nolan or Regehr in this situation, except to say that what Nolan did was also cheap. Regehr made a normal hockey hit. NOthing more. Deal with it.

You failed to mention Nolans cheap antics following the hit when you chastized Regehr for being "cheap." Regehrs hit wasn't cheap, but rather an average everyday hockey hit in the NHL. If Nolan had a problem with it, he could have challenged him like a man. I didn't see you calling Nolan a pussy for that.
