Ive just been reading about how both the old and new testaments were translated into greek, then half of them lost, then jumbled up, then lost for ages, then found and translated into english...after they filled in the gaps with anything that suited the powers of the day...how can anyone with a brain believe this trash? @pleasendlost Correct. The King James version of the "Old Testament" is vastly different from the Hebrew Bible, or Torah, in some key areas. Notably, the prophesies for the Messiah. However, I think that people should use whatever liturgy is right for them. My objection is when they adopt a holier-than-thou attitude and believe that theirs is the only right religion. ESPECIALLY those who use a mistranslation of the original liturgy that others use.

Biblical Hebrew is a fascinating language. The Jews have kept the original Tanach through the ages. The history of translations by others is a fascinating academic study. The important thing is that whatever liturgy you use, it is beautiful and important to YOU. But not necessaryily to others. Get over it.

He does teach that we are to keep the commandments, especially that we love God and one another. @mrworms3d The Word states that the earth will "be changed" and that it will "melt with a fervent heat" -- I dont believe this implies destruction of the planet as a whole. God has His purposes in creation. Also, there is to be a "New Heaven & A New Earth coming down out of heaven" and where exactly is it "coming down to out of heaven?" I think it's this planet, and it will be transformed and enveloped into this New Earth, etc. .

We do not know that there is a god and whether or not he is infinite. we do not know that space and time was created. Why believe that god has always been? Why can't space and time have always been? Don't even try to answer the question because it is honestly unanswerable. Beyond our theshhold of knowledge, anything is possible. Just try to disprove that. We could even be just part of an entity's thought.

Correct again! But for the true Christian the Apostle Paul wrote "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (Himself)." There is a group of Christians called the Bride that will be immediately with Christ when they die, but only He would determine that for each believer's spiritual condition before Him.
when paul speaks of being absent from the body, he speaks of astral projection. not dieing. he knew like all of the others that god is the unseen universe, not some deity that tells us what to do.
look, there are many books of the bible left out of the kjv. one of them is about this guy who asks god why he would send anyone to hell if he's so forgiving. and god tells him a secret: they're only gonna be there for a while before they get a second chance. it was left out because what would happen if people found out that. what do you think would happen? @sugarpi Supernatural - attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature and is unlikely to ever be touched by science: Ex. a supernatural being, ghost, angel, God, etc.
The example of the embryo is a naturally occurring process in reproduction. It is not invisible per say as you can see it under the right conditions, just like with germs they are invisible to the naked eye but when you bring in a microscope you can.

Ive just been reading about how both the old and new testaments were translated into greek, then half of them lost, then jumbled up, then lost for ages, then found and translated into english...after they filled in the gaps with anything that suited the powers of the day...how can anyone with a brain believe this trash? @pleasendlost Correct. The King James version of the "Old Testament" is vastly different from the Hebrew Bible, or Torah, in some key areas. Notably, the prophesies for the Messiah. However, I think that people should use whatever liturgy is right for them. My objection is when they adopt a holier-than-thou attitude and believe that theirs is the only right religion. ESPECIALLY those who use a mistranslation of the original liturgy that others use.

@cayugaroots Yes, I have studied Biblical Hebrew and have read and translated portions of the bible. I have compared my translations with those those of others, also. Biblical Hebrew is a fascinating language. The Jews have kept the original Tanach through the ages. The history of translations by others is a fascinating academic study. The important thing is that whatever liturgy you use, it is beautiful and important to YOU. But not necessaryily to others. Get over it.

@pleasendlost: Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant with all the laws and traditions, etc. He established the New Covenant that does not include those rituals for ancient Israel. He does teach that we are to keep the commandments, especially that we love God and one another. The Truth is a Person, it flows out of a relationship with Jesus Christ initiated by the Holy Spirit in our new spiritual natureI There's a lot of wonderful things to learn, my brother!

@mrworms3d The Word states that the earth will "be changed" and that it will "melt with a fervent heat" -- I dont believe this implies destruction of the planet as a whole. God has His purposes in creation. Also, there is to be a "New Heaven & A New Earth coming down out of heaven" and where exactly is it "coming down to out of heaven?" I think it's this planet, and it will be transformed and enveloped into this New Earth, etc. .

the end of the world is not 2012. people have been saying that for years and how it has fulfilled prophesies in the Bible. In the Bible it even says only God knows the time when the end of the world will happen.

I would tend to agree that America might be "Mystery Babylon in the book of Revelation spoken of by John the apostle. If for no other reason than we ARE the most powerful country in the world in this century!! The word "whore" is used in Scripture to portray "unfaithfulness" to God.

I know my God is real. For I know who I was & who I am now. My God lives in me by the Holy Spirit. Jesus took my darkness & filled my life with light. The joy that fills my soul is real & something I could not do for myself. Nothing can change my heart ,NO DOUBT, nothing on this earth can seperate me from His love. He loves me & I know it. I promise I am not a seducing spirit and i dont teach doctrines of devils. i talk about truths and facts that can be proven. i work on what i know to be true, not what i believe to be true. there are laws of nature that proves there's a god. but there's no law of nature that proves that it is the christian god, or any other religion's god for that matter. because we as humans can't fully comprehend what god is. god is beyond our imagining. think of time for example: time is just there. before the beginning of time, there was a time when time wasnt there. so in essence, time is infinant. same way with god. god is infinate. and we can't think past infinates. we will probably never fully know what god is, but we do know certain aspects of him. like time, chaos, space, laws of nature, etc. they were all created by something, which is god. the creator

We actually do not know that time was not there and we do not know that time is infinate. We do not know that there is a god and whether or not he is infinite. we do not know that space and time was created. Why believe that god has always been? Why can't space and time have always been? Don't even try to answer the question because it is honestly unanswerable. Beyond our theshhold of knowledge, anything is possible. Just try to disprove that. We could even be just part of an entity's thought.

look, again it speaks of astral projection (caught up into paradise) and during astral projection, he heard secrets that are unlawful to utter. the reason why those things he heard are unlawful is because if he were to speak about it to others, they would not believe him, thus causing arguing which could lead up to fighting, which is evil. there's many things of the bible that you don't know about because of your simple mindset. but in actuallity the bible goes Way deeper than you could imagine.

Correct again! But for the true Christian the Apostle Paul wrote "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (Himself)." There is a group of Christians called the Bride that will be immediately with Christ when they die, but only He would determine that for each believer's spiritual condition before Him.

look, there are many books of the bible left out of the kjv. one of them is about this guy who asks god why he would send anyone to hell if he's so forgiving. and god tells him a secret: they're only gonna be there for a while before they get a second chance. it was left out because what would happen if people found out that. what do you think would happen? MASS CHAOS! yes the bible was written for spirituality, but it is used as a tool for control by the government as well.

That's correct that 'Hell' Hades is a holding place for the dead until the Great White Throne Judgment as revealed in the book of Revelation. HOWEVER, There is a holding place for the Jews only called PARADISE.
