it was the fall of 1987,i remember that i dress as a ninja for holloween that yr.i beleive i was in 5th grade.he came down to my home(the dearborn home projects),ofcourse there was a hughe gathering cause he was there.im glad i shook his hand......the chi was different when he was alive.you could feel the possiblity of change for the better in the air.many of us believe he was murdered because he wanted to bring policy/lottery aka the numbers game back to the people....r.i.p.Harold Washington

Too bad he couldn't stop eating the Kentucky Fried Chicken. Heart disease ensued. 20 years of KFC his heart couldn't handle that.

great year somebody killed him - i dance for him p.l party i love this man the angle of chicago. don't 4 get him black people he did so so so so muchbe leave me. thatz whatz mayers do. i had to help people go out to votes.it should be a holiday for him ilove him right now.

He brought hope to those who were struggling in Chicago, I sincerely loved that man. He was what a mayor should be and what a man ought to be. Rest in peace Mr. Mayor.

The greatest mayor Chicago ever had. He was for ALL of Chicago. I still miss him and his leadership. Chicago needs another Harold Washington for Mayor.
