esta música toca todos los sentimientos, ríes, lloras, te enamoras, te enfureces, te apasiona, te hace imponente, te hace vulnerable, tantas cosas al mismo tiempo, eso es Chopin :)
I have listened to as many Chopin compositions as I can get my hands on and somehow either forgot this one or missed it. What a beautiful piece of music and spectacular performance!!!
Beautiful music that stirs my soul, beautifully played by a beautiful woman. A true gem out of the millions of shabby, mindless Youtube videos. Thanks.
Well, I have to say this is really amazing. I am playing organ myself, I used to play piano, but I know I will never be able to achieve such speed (which I luckily don't need on organ), but I am always pleased to hear such great pianist as yourself. By the way, I remember this song from the movie Pianist - it was great choice for end of movie
GOSH this piece certainly uses every note on the piano! I'm trying to learn it now...but I think I'd rather play the french horn part then the piano now! It's insane, but so much fun. :D
Chopin is my favorite composer. This piece is played brilliantly, and one thing I love just in general in this piece is the almost dictatorial dominance of the piano over everything else :))) kind of a reversal of roles (correct me if im wrong but in the vast majority of pieces the piano does not play such an overbearingly dominant part)
If I may say so, at the risk of sounding snobbish, its probably beyond the technical ability of all but very few, and I very much doubt it can be taught over a youtube video. You would require to put in weeks, probably months of effort to play this composition. So if you are a serious piano student, hope to reach the level of this piece in many years, and if not, just enjoy :))
Really nice performance. Sounds as if the orchestra is lagging a bit behind you throughout, or that the conductor is having to pull them through a bit?
Thanks, I don't think I have the answer because it is a piece that I have played then left for a while, then played again, I really don't keep count on how long I have practiced it.
@NadejdaVlaeva : Thank you very much for posting this video. I very much enjoyed your performance. Your rendition was very honest because I felt emotional. This is how I know when a musician is giving music all that it deserves. Brava!
Nadejda Felicitaciones!! a parte de ser una mujer hermosa tambien eres una pianista excelente!! Una interpretacion inolvidable e inigualable. Dio ti benedica tanto tanto!! :)
ahhhhhhhhhmazing. i'm looking for a big piece to play for next year. It sounds like this piece has tonss of big chords in it; my hands are pretty small, do you have an opinion on that? Also, did learning this piece take lots of time? I also have a jam-packed schedule, so idk if i'll be able to do it. Amazing performance, wonderful emotion, and graceful movement! =]]
Chopin in general requires bigger hands, but I have known some smaller hands to handle challenges miraculously. The best thing is to try and play through it. As for the time, it is repetitive but has some tricky spots. Depends on the level you want to achieve. The more time the better!
Thanks for the question! It is hard to say though as I have been playing the piece for years. It doesn't take long to learn the notes but to attach meaning to them takes much longer. Sometimes years. Art is not as exact as science and I feel it is difficult to attach numbers to it (like numbers of days, hours, etc.).
Brava, Nadejda! A pleasure to hear such musical playing. Don't forget to try also Stage6-dot-com where they allow more than 10 minutes and larger files so there won't be as much compression.
Hi, Nadia!!! A link on one e-mail by Patricia (from Mojácar) has brought me to your video. Very nice performance, a real pleasure. By the way, I am Miriam G-M, just in case you do not realize it because of my nick on YouTube.
Bravo Nadejda! This is absolutely stunning performance! I like it very much! The conductor Eduard Zilberkant and the orchestra are doing great job also.
I don't know what to say. orchestra started off slow and made a huge mistake in the end. Conductor is the one should be blamed.

A most effective partnership between soloist and orchestra. A bravura performance yet not without its moments of delicacy.

do you get tired playing hard pieces? i need tips on increasing stamina
lonewolf604 3 years ago
It is normal to get tired if you are deeply and emotionally involved in a performance.
Play the entire piece a few times in a row now and then while trying to achieve your best performance for the level you are at. Then play for people.
You may still get tired but it will increase your stamina.
Observe your posture and breathing too.

@lonewolf604 working out will help. How much, I have no idea.
